- In this video, I spend a week in Scotland living in a magical enchanted castle learning real witchcraft from Mia Magik. Mia Magik is a real witch with more than a decade of experience studying real witchcraft, “magik” and various healing modalities.
Throughout the week, Mia guided us through a range of practices and deeply healing rituals including a fire ceremony, rage ritual, self-love ritual, and mirror ritual. During one particular ritual, I experienced a profound release and powerful healing. The biggest takeaway for me is that real magic is healing and about remembering our connection with Mother Earth.

Sometimes it is very hard for me to be feeling stuck in high school, as a sixteen year old I already believe so differently than most of my peers, these videos give me hope that as soon as I am out of my cage I will be strong enough to fly. I have been intuitively practicing witchcraft since fifth grade and I am so thankful for the journey of growth I am still going through. I start humming, then I start making more deep vocal noises then I cry, and I breathe the deepest of breaths like a new born baby. It’s such a beautiful release. I also get a lot of wolf energy. I howl a bit. Loved this video !

The rage ritual is just beautiful. The power to just…. be. To have emotions, to show them, to not be ashamed, to intentionally let your rage and anger free.. I’ve never seen anything like it. I am often sceptical of magical retreats, I will admit, but that was definitely a ritual worth doing.

Mia, I want to personally thank you for conducting these rage rituals. We live in a world where we're told "Don't cry", "Get over it", all responses that invalidate emotions like grief, sadness and anger that need to be expressed. If we keep them bottled up inside us, that's not good, so thank you for creating a safe space where people can just be human and express these emotions without fear of reprisals.

After watching this fantastic video I felt inspired to hum, so I did and eventually words joined. I sang about holding someone until they slipped away, and I realized that I was singing about my recently departed cat. Last year she suddenly became sick and ultimately we decided to spare her from suffering. I had never lost a pet and I honestly have had no clue what to do or how to adjust, grieving her has been prolonged and difficult. But after singing that song I think it has become just a little bit easier.
