They wouldn’t be monsters for not caring about another animal in their world view; humans are also animals, we hunt other animals for food like any other mammal might. To be on the lookout for poachers from their local cat meat shop.
This is actually a pretty good setup for a "natural" cat habitat. The rocks provide somewhat stable shelter and it's right by a body of water. As far as cats living in the wild goes it can get much worse than this for sure.

Absolutely breaks my little heart lol my big heart to see those poor little kitten sitting there looking up at you if it was me I would take them all home don't worry I've done it in the past I've got a cat here cold kit and she was adopted by me from somebody else that couldn't keep her and she turned out to be and she is a fantastic can she is beautiful and she's a tortoiseshell and a name as I said is kit and she's got two attitude to match good on you God bless you for doing what you doing for those little kittens and themama cat I can give you a little bit of advice is what you should really do is give the cats some soft food but what you do is mix and a little bit of cold water in it to make more juice because they get more moisture and flavour from that than drinking water because if you didn't too much dry food it's not actually good for them so what you should do is giving more wet food but add a little bit of water with it meet more juice just stirred around with a spoon and give them more soft food because little kittens and they wind off their mama they can't drink her milk and the crunch is a little bit too hard for them maze and it will happen is there we'll get all serrated maze because I have had 150 cats in back many many many many many years ago and lot about cats and lot about animals and what you doing is fantastic but there's just a little bit of advice to you and they will love you for it and make sure they got plenty of fresh clean water because the sold if you near the ocean or whatever the salt bless you go into the water and that will not be good for the toll because of salt will go to the kidneys and that's not good because it will cause kidney problems especially for the kittens so you're doing a great job but take that advice if you want to God bless you for doing what you doing I think you're a great person and I watch you from now on 🇦🇺🇦🇺❤️👌

To be honest that mother cat was very wise using the natural habitat as a home. Think about it, it's sturdy, with good shelter from the elements and a good hiding place away from predators. The mother and kittens look well fed, so there isn't really an issue with finding food, so leave them be. This obsession that all animals have to live with humans who shut them away in unnatural environments, not allowing them to be what they naturally are is unreal. It's a form of abuse.
If animals are in urban places where they cannot fend for themselves then by all means help them, but in this case no help was needed.
