@paulyskidda387 just curious: Why do you want to waste your money on a fighter that is mediocre at best since console mode in 3.23? Shouldn't CIG sell the Lightning for aUEC in game?
@@Camural for me atleast I don’t buy ships based on META or How OP they are that’s why everyone is always flying F7As and corsairs. I was expecting another F8C sales event around IAE, they are just using the ship show down to do the sales sooner. Its already reported the tickets are far to easy to find. And you get to spend $300 on a ship with only 6months insurance...
I just can't understand what roughly 1000 people are doing each and every day at CIG. Its like they are a construction company that has no blueprint, dozens of forepersons, and an architect that has given them the vaguest description on what he envisions the building to look like and tends to make changes on the fly forcing them to tear down months and years of work and start over. The mismanagement has to be nearing a level of criminality.
Do they not know that there are a sizeable number of players who dont care a fig about the lastst shiny fiighter. Given the cargo patch you would have thought that a Hull A would have been more appropriate.
My biggest thing is that you cant ccu...im ok with the event being what it is but ship showdown shouldve been the exception, i don't think people voted for the f8c thinking they'd have to cough up 300$...
Nah, they are selling the F8C to try to disrtact players from the fact that they perma-borked mining, one of the few almost complete gaming arcs, and after a month of "investigation" still can't fix it.
I honestly doubt they will make an "A" variant of the ship as a purchase... we might get it ingame by as a temp reward from a mission but lose it as soon as it blows up kind of deal. It's the only way I can see them managing the power creep of the ships since the F8C already blows most of ships out of the water in combat already.
CIG is more desperate than ever... Annual sale likely to have several new concepts, including at least one capital. Cruiser? Bigger? I would not be surprised.
I spent all yesterday collecting gold tickets so i can fill a hangar elevator with them and lay in the middle of it like Scrooge McDuck. For a screenshot.

I bet the ship showdown skin will suck. I haven’t liked any of the showdown paints they have given. And if CIG gives the F8A it will be a to buy option that’s over $300.00 and will be nerfed in 3 to 4 months. It’s just what they do. It’s an abusive gaming relationship we have with CIG we pay tip top dollar for everything and in return they nerf every aspect of game play, or make it so it almost works but doesn’t at all. Or makes you wait for many years and then tell you you’re going to wait more years. As they promised it’s going to change and be great soon. It will get done but in 20 more generations of GPU and CPUs And 2 to 3 Billion dollars more adjusted for inflation of course. That means 20 years. @@GTOOtt I don't remember the name, but I find it hilarious that he was so desperate to get one so he could buy this "limited ship", only to have dozens of them every bunker a few weeks later lol
@@StoneCoolds there was another huge drama: pirates (rigthfully) scammed the guy in a "in game transaction" showing a golden ticket; they met in a shady place, put the ticket in a crate, got the aUEC (a lot) and departed, but the box was empty.
The Conned Goose went to CIG assistance complaining, and moderators suspended the pirates access to the game for 3 months. The Pirates did nothing except being pirates. The pirated was dumb as a rock in trusting them, all that was lost were worthless aUEC, but the idea that CIG could have lost 300$ of pretty pixel must have brushed them the wrong way.

@@StoneCoolds Lots of very stupid people play video games.
Good video. This is impossible to believe this was just from 6 hours ago. I would have assumed this is from 1999. Just mind melting how this is the state of the game. I try to milk every solar system in No Man's Sky and shutter to think there is still only one solar system in CIG. Mind melting.
I love the little clips at the end when you act like a goofball
When do we expect to see another Hornet Mk II stunt (CIG selling the gold standard update for an older ship as a "brand new" ship)?
I think its hilarious there’re selling it again after they nerfed it🤣
CIG will need to buff the lightning to make it OP in order to promote sales. Then nerf it once the sale is over. Honestly, can can CIG expect anyone to buy a ship that isn't temporarily OP?
There’s a lot of new players in 3.23 it’s good to give us a chance at owning some of these ships that all the old players own
@paulyskidda387 just curious: Why do you want to waste your money on a fighter that is mediocre at best since console mode in 3.23?
Shouldn't CIG sell the Lightning for aUEC in game?
@@Camural for me atleast I don’t buy ships based on META or How OP they are that’s why everyone is always flying F7As and corsairs. My reason for wasting money on a mediocre ship is just it simply caught my eye as a new player and I just fell in love with its visual characteristics, when I found out I couldn’t just purchase it when I started playing , it made me want it even more. 😅
I miss your "sweet little lies" outro music
Calling it now, over the next 12 months cig will close all offices except the manchester one
I don't think they will close the LA office as that's still tied to Chris and Sandi's need to pretend to be connected to hollywood.
Q4 2027
By the time we're done, they'll be selling 890Js as buy-one-get-one-free.
Not particularly interested in the ship, but might as well pick some tickets up. Maybe I can use them to decorate the hangar toilets.
This is just gunna be a regular event now…I got fooled again by FOMO lol
My biggest thing is that you cant ccu...im ok with the event being what it is but ship showdown shouldve been the exception, i don't think people voted for the f8c thinking they'd have to cough up 300$...
Wow, looks like if we throw a sofa at a Idris then we can destroy Idris in seconds, right? That 3 seat coach is indestructible.
If only CIG put any of the effort that goes into selling ships into developing the game.
Gaming in 2024: Big publishers are destroying games and studios, also in 2024: Indie devs are destroying their games and their own studios.
at this point we have to ask ourselves why did we allow this to be their standard. cant wait for 2026 when the big investors are "due".
Nah, they are selling the F8C to try to disrtact players from the fact that they perma-borked mining, one of the few almost complete gaming arcs, and after a month of "investigation" still can't fix it.
Gold ticket everywhere.
Only not at respawn bed. Wait a beat.
I'd likely buy one if I could CCU to it rather than $300. No CCU's IS cash grabby.
Haha.... that would be so good, after promising to not sell the F8 at all.
I got a hold ticket in like 5 mins on my first mission, but I already had f8c from last gold ticket event, and it sucks now been nerfed
Yeah and with an entire six months insurance they can kick rocks.
I spent all yesterday collecting gold tickets so i can fill a hangar elevator with them and lay in the middle of it like Scrooge McDuck. For a screenshot.
Ya i think its due to the f8 winning the ship showdown.. cannot sell best in show if its limited event only!
I’m a fan of this event. I also think all new ships should be sold like this event. But it would hurt their sell’s and force people to actually play it. So CIG would never so this. LOL
It's like $700 million isn't enough to make the game....................
They should give all ships for free in game then when the game is finished you have to buy them with real money.
Marketing working overdrive.
I wonder if that contest was rigged to enable this sale. Think about it. Regardless, trying to talk sense to these people is a fruitless endeavour. It's a dream that's not worth chasing.
Why would you want F8A?
Are you guys happy paying more?
They couldnt even be bothered to release it at the current standard as it doesnt have component access and th emodel is very dated.
sadly this is how marketing works, its a numbers game, most backers are hype driven , so this will bring more money, but not a better live experience lol
sadly, I've bought a lot of expensive overprized stuff that turned out to be junk.
But Star Citizen is the winner so far.
ngl, I bought one.. with store credits. no way i'm paying new money for this game that is now in year 12 of development.
Does anyone know a place where I can sell my CIG account ?
@OBudful
1. Wait until Citizencon. Chris will be on stage again and will tell wonderful lies about all the things that are just around the corner. At the moment Impound doesn't even accept accounts to sell.
2. Expect a loss.
3. I am not affiliated with any of those sites, I don't get a commission, I never used them, so take this with caution. I heard good things about Star Hangar and Impound. Some people use reddit Star Citizen trades.
If you live in the EU you can get a full refund
@CHEESYhairyGASH how?
@@CHEESYhairyGASH I'd like to know aswell.
That would be immensely helpful to know, given my "not so moderate spendings" since 2016. *sigh
@CHEESYhairyGASH this?
www.reddit.com/r/starcitizen_refunds/comments/invwt0/update_on_refunds_in_the_eu/
"I´ll buy that for a dollar"
no money til pyro/finishing stanton/adding the missions from the previous 5 years of citizencon/scanning/new gameplay thats not laser beams
in that regard i don't understand why they only focus on beams. And if that wasn't enough they already reworked the beam of the tractor multi tool. Don't their employees have more important stuff to do?
Maybe I'm dumb or just lucky as hell but I've found like 5 tickets just from doing safe box missions as I'm too scared to try anything else.
@chrissinclair8705 you are not lucky, the golden tickets drop like candy.
Flicka found one on every dead NPC in a bunker mission.
@@Camural Oh dear, now even the dead have golden tickets. I wonder how much CIG brings in from the dead. Maybe they should contact the Democratic party, they seem to get votes from the dead. Maybe they can give them some pointers...
Just watch, they will release a F8A upgrade too through a mission, and then because the F7A set precedent for how powerful a ship may be, the F8A will be nerfed to be exactly equal to a F7A, because whiney people and there can never be anything more powerful than another ship, that's somehow inconceivable and preposterous.
If you want to buy it, do it. If not, don’t. Pretty simple.
My heart cant take it. Say it isnt so
It will never be sold for in-game UEC
Darn, so this was the plan from the beginning. Screw 'dem marketing machines (Cuz they are not humans).
if they gave away F8 for free then I would consider reinstalling, but certainly I would uninstall after again
I’m done buying ships. They’ll just change them to make the experience more and more boring.
It will get done but in 20 more generations of GPU and CPUs
And 2 to 3 Billion dollars more adjusted for inflation of course. That means 20 years. I think I might make the bet Chris may never see this game done just like many of us. Better start eating right and exercising if you have a chance to see Star Citizen finished.
Frankly speaking, I bet Chris thought in the beginning that looking at the development of hard-, software and tech he won't have to deal with creating the game or doing all the difficult optimization. But now here we are 10+ years later and it seems he should have been the one developing it, but with 700 mil he didn't 🙃
Limited stock!
Pass Pass Pass, No thank you CIG, Chris needs to come out of the clouds.
I've decided not to spend any more money on the game. Although I'm inclined to invest, the ongoing issues with Chris Roberts have curbed my enthusiasm for further spending.
done!
better sell servers
The 3.24 patch is the best one they have released in years.
The previous patches were so bad that I was barely able to get any gametime in them due to crashes when loading the game and then crashes when in the game. Therefore I had no chance of getting a golden ticket/
I have had 0 crashes with 3.24 and managed to get a golden ticket.
Store Citizen 😂
Any advice on selling my account would be apprecited guys?

@@CamuralThanks for the info mate, ive been supporting the game from the start but lost interest months ago. The latest nonsense was final nail in the coffin, time is to precious for this alpha bullshit
game is dead, CR is just gonna release sq42 and sell off the tech to someone else and the PU will just be left at 10% complete. at this point hes looking for a way to secure his retirement money
Sell what?
The "tech" would only have value if it would produce a working game.
As it stands now, the people who have been working on it for years are unable to produce anything with it.
Sure thing he is trying to sell off the company. Heard his wife is already out of the business. Definitely its time for him to say good bye, but he sure as hell wanna have one final sell out.
Yea I really don’t think anyone cares
Ill take my F7A over this piece of junk any day
I hate fighter ships
It's not even funny anymore.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Cig🤡
Star Citizen is such a shit game.
😂😂🤑🤑🤑🤑 Yeah like candy!!! When doing the bunker test the only time i wend in and tested the 3.24 I found like 8 of them golden tickets.... they were everywhere! And that was even before the F8 was a winner! CIG are totally pathetic!
They should rather fix the fucking game instead of focusing of ship sales!
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Death by Sofa!!!!
Have you ever worked in a bigger company irl? Sales and Marketing department are in general beloved by the management cuz "they bring in the money" thats how far these people and todays people in management can see.
