- Hundreds of Marsiling-Yew Tee residents have gathered to commemorate the swearing-in of Mr Lawrence Wong as Singapore's Prime Minister. He has served as the GRC's MP for nearly a decade. Mr Wong's team won the constituency during the 2015 General Election. After the swearing-in ceremony, Mr Wong made his way from the Istana to the North West with his wife and his GRC teammates -- Mr Alex Yam, Mr Zaqy Mohamad and Ms Hany Soh.
Congratulations! Lawrence Wong. You always have that smiling face. Singapore will always be smiling with you leading ahead. All the best to Singapore.

I feel the excited crowd at Yew Tee was a little wild and uncontrolled at times. I dont feel comfortable at certain points especially when an auntie grabbed on to his arms while asking her friends to take a photo of them. I thought the new PM was uncomfortable then to and you can clearly see he tried to let her know. I dont think Tharman's volunteer and security team had to work that hard to hold back the crowd atTaman Jurong.

One interesting point. I am waiting to see which country Lawrence Wong will first visit in his role as a new SG PM. The newly minted Thai PM called on PR China not long ago and he addressed China as "Thailand's Big Brother". So I am eagerly looking forward to see who SG will call as its "Big Brother"

He cannot become PM. He is indian. Indians are not allowed to become PMs of a chinese country like Singapore. S. Rajaretnam, S.Danabalan, Professor S.Jayakumar and Tharman are excellent DPMs. But they came nowhere close to getting the PM post.
Question is, does he even come close to DPM material like those names mentioned. Sad.
Having won an overwhelming majority of seats, they get upset over losing a few slices of the cake. They turn around and call opposition voters “free riders.”
PAP is contained "reality" but in case you are in doubts just compare the price of your petrol with prices across the border e.g. the benefits of cheaper imports from better currency exchange are literally NOT enjoyed by Singaporeans, all "makan..ed".
