Loved peugeot. Owned 508 for 7 yrs. First 2 years of ownership was remarkable. However entering the 3rd year, problems start cropping up. Hit hardest when the failed parts were not covered under the extended warranty (hoses, pumps, mounting). If you possess extra fortune to spend and have the endurance going in and out of service centre, then by all means, please own a Pug. It's look and performance really enticing for a real seasoned car lover like me 🙂
Peugeot buyers buy with the heart and are willing to spend time and money to maintain it. For me though, i am not willing to spend the time nor money so i will go with korean or japanese but i am really impressed with the suspension. Really good handling and yet comfortable. Not really practical though. I dont mind if it a company car. :)
That was so long ago, your review is not really relevant already, so just keep to yourself, unless you own recent version.
Sy pernah pakai 405..walaupn bunyi enjin agak kuat. Bila tutup je pintu x dengar dh bunyi enjin.kerusi mmg empuk sgt.comfert no compromise.cumnaya nk pickup mmg lembap.dh laju tu.ko tekan je lah bio laju terus😅
Iye betul. Dlm cabin memang senyap. Tekan minyak pun x dengar sangat engin meraung.
Setuju, saya masih ada lagi 405, kereta Europah suara engin memang kuat sikit, tapi senyap di dalam tak dengar. 405 kalau ada turbo best, sekarang underpower.

Avoid buying Peugeot, despite total comfort, stability. Post sales service with NAZA, bermaz cannot get it right. Now Stellantis as the owner, distributor no choice have to convince new buyers service is not pricey, parts delay, pathetic resale value.
Buy if only money and time is not a problem. Kalau duit ada tp so so, kalau nk beli utk daily commute, kalau kereta cuma ada 2 kt rumah lg 1 kereta ur spouse, avoid it.
Kalah tergolek, kelakarlah uncle ni...😂
After sales is bad.. baru pakai 1 tahun stearing rack berbunyi.. nak claim warranty took 3 month utk dapat parts.. service center banyak tutup.. lepas stelantis amik.. service ctr yg ade not at par.. Sangat² berbaloi kalau beli utk rasa semua experiences tu.. 😂..

10 tahun dh pakai 408 turbo... So far major problem aircond compressor.. Baru sekali tukar

Pernah pakai 408T sebelum ni selama 9 tahun. Tukar lepas nk upgrade ke SUV dan tiba masa untuk overhaul 300k km. Sangat berbaloi tidak bermasalah besar. Masalah kecil ada tetapi tidak ada major problem. Cuma kalo parts tu kena ada kesabaran tunggu la. Satu yg saya puji peugeot dia bnyk recall parts. Xde sembunyi2. Rasa mcm tukar semua parts kat engine under recall😂

still loving my peugeot 208, 11 years of ownership beli waktu launching still looks like new inside outside. starting 208 onwards very reliable tak bermasalah dah. tengok 1.2 puretech until now reliable, expect this 1.6 puretech be the same.
Peugeot 308 Turbo memang masalah although ride comfort and handling is really impressive. Glad to know newer ones are better because if its reliable then i might consider one in the future.
Guna Peugeot ni ada satu syarat. Mesti ada mechanic yg betul2 mahir ttg kereta Peugeot utk sebarang kerosakan. Spare parts mmg mahal. Tapi berbaloi. Tahan lasak. Technology tinggi. Sy bawa Peugeot berbelas tahun. Jual value rendah. Jadi motivasi utk jaga kereta baik dan tak beli kereta baru. So tiada hutang baru. 😅

It's not comparable but how is the sound insulation compared to Emzoom? Comfort wise which one can absorb the bad road surface better?

@@ILoveMelaka thanks for the reply. Great. Because on a short run of road test around PJ showroom, it was surprisingly comfortable. Very quiet too but it's only 60kmh. 😅
@@ILoveMelaka I recently went on a test drive during the autoshow. You are right the comfort and NVH is a level above over Emzoom. The suspension is absolutely spot on. The young at heart would love this more, steering feel and controls at mid to higher speeds is super fun. Sadly my soul couldn't connect with this Peugeot 408. My thoughts are, this is lovely for daily slow drives in the sub urban and kampung, where you can enjoy the drive at a relaxed pace. For sporty driving i don't feel confident, maybe due to my age. I can feel the gear change, not the smoothest, the brakes feels hard and require effort to really bite. The interior is not what i expected, to think i like the 2008 and 3008 (year 2017 till present). It is just my personal preferences.
