According to Bosch the fixed shoe models are designed that way to provide the most accurate cut with reduced blade deflection and unrivaled cut capacity of up to 6".
I own the D-handle brushless jigsaw with the bevel feature (GST18V-50N) and it comes with the dust blower but trades the connected module, fast cut/clean cut switch and digital speed selector for a good old speed dial and adjustable shoe (requires hex key, though). The performance and accuracy are night and day compared to the M12 brushed jigsaw I owned before it.
I highly recommend that model if you are looking for bevel cuts, it's fast and accurate just keep in mind there is no shoe release lever like on the Milwaukee; you need the included hex wrench to adjust bevel but I found the lever on the old M12 came loose on its own . Maybe that's why Milwaukee also got rid of the lever on their new M12 Fuel jigsaw
