Old Rusty Pocket Knife Restoration

I found this rusty pocket knife on the outskirts of the village when I was looking for treasures with a metal detector. I did not find any treasures, and this knife waited a long time for its restoration

Tuff restoration. I hate to see any knife that has been beaten up that bad but you did a good job with what you had to work with. Keep on restoring stuff and I’ll keep watching.👍

It would be nice to make a new blade.

of course, you can make a new blade, but if you can restore an old blade, then that is a restoration

I think it’s a small summer project. Best to redo this project and make new inner sideblades from stainless (or other exotic) and keep de knifeblade and the covers original.

I'm not trying to belittle your efforts, for it was a good restoration; however I wonder if it was worth it.
