- Very rusty 18th century pocket knife Restoration. This old rusty knife was found by a metal detector. This is an interesting old pocket knife. I think this knife is 18th-19th century. This knife lay underground for hundreds of years. I decided to restore this rusty pocket knife. I removed the rust, made new parts and made new bone scales. Now the knife can work again. I hope you enjoyed my restoration video.

10/10, the final product has so much character and swagger to it. Old school classic and authentic, done right. Beautiful work man.
Thanks!
I rate that at a 10. The knife was so far gone that you really did not have much to work with. But you did preserve the blade and paid honor to its long history. Using horse bone from WW2 was a very nice touch, adding a bit of history from the 1940s. Most people do not realize that horses were still in use by the millions even that recently. Really a fantastic restoration!
Thank you for the high rating of my work!
The bone work was, just wow!! I didn’t know it could look like that.
I need to see again a helmet restoration! I think your restoration/preservation work on military stuff is awesome! I didn't really like your content since the very beginning because the first video was a 500+ year old knife restoration video in which you cut some part of it. After some tkme I can tell you convinced me pretty much! Keep up the good work!
Thanks)
Absolutely 10! You're Restauration are beautiful 👍
Fabulous…restoring a piece of history 10
Definitely a 10! What you started with compared to what you ended up with is an amazing transformation, great job!
85 out of 10!!!! 🎉🎉
Absolutely amazing restoration
wow. I rate it 10, even if only the blade was saved, but the rebuilt of the handle is magnificent and elegant
Absolutely beautiful work ❤ definitely a 10 .
Tym razem wspaniałe dzieło i zachowamy klimat starości. 10/ 10.
A box full of goodies! You'll have enough for a couple years. 😉
You're likely using a metal detector to uncover these treasures, right? Have you ever discovered larger items, such as a helmet or even a complete rifle, in your searches?
Of course) Here is my other channel www.youtube.com/@ArtifactDigger
Another amazing restotransformation!!!! The original metal for the blade must have been premium quality to last that long underground! Your mechanical skills are paramount! The choice of horse bone from a battlefield is spot on!! Well done sir!!! The Old Army Scout. Do you sell your knives? I’m asking for an old veteran friend… thanks for your video!!
Thank you very much! I don't sell knives...
That was totally awesome. You tried your best to save all the components of the knife. What if you had a forge also .
Amazing Restoration 10/10👍🏻👍🏽👍🇬🇧🇬🇧

That's way far better than the oridinary restoration. If I could I even would add pin to opening blade one handed.

Dope AF results, @ReXtorer!
BEAUTIFUL.
Yeeaahh, “HORSE BONES.” Ssuurree, guy. Some day soon, GenZers are gonna knock on your door looking for the bones of their grandfather that you turned into a knife. 😂😂
6. 'because the sieve stripes are to better grip the knife when it is wet
I almost want to skip to the end to see the final product but that would ruin the fun. Keep it up. You need to give us written instructions on how to do it so that future generations can do the same

Nice knife restoration....just needs a new blade and a new handle...........
10/10 for restoration, 0/10 for sharpening, total 10
What happened to the dimpling on the brass? The end result looked smooth. I'll give you an 8+.
Bravo!
An absolutely beautiful job. The only thing I can see is those beautiful handles don't fit exactly snug at the ends. But the beautiful restoration job done takes that away from the whole thing. Great job.... i love it. I say a 10.
I’d Cary that knife! Great job 10
Very good restoration, love the knife
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
doesnt get any better than that.
good job
You can only do so much. You have to deal with what you have. I would call it a renovation rather than a restoration.
Would have been better if you could have of the original bone or metal plates, even kept them embedded in epoxy as part of the handle… great rebuild though 👍
I am more fascinated by the cute mini anvil
a big 10 !!!
wow 1000000000000000000000000000000000/10
8/10 🤷♂️
Hello.
Nice one, rate as 10/10.
Metal which used on handel was 1mm?
Thank you! yes, 1 mm
Ohhh! Do you mean you went to where world war 2 took place to get the horse bones?
....wonderful job!!! 10!
Maybe ivory scales
Pocket knife of Theseus?
🙋👍👏💪
A 10 for sure!
10
So you found horse bones on the battlefield of World War 2, but you somehow look 30? I am confused
Yes you are. I’m positive he meant he found it on a ww2 battlefield
Another great restoration. 10/10. What do you do with the items you have restored?
So it's older than my country Argentina.
Great job, but I do not like bones
If it was 225 years old. Then it would have been made in 1799.
Your close ups are really good quality what camera do you use? Love the videos
I dunno. Is it a restoration when 50% of the product is newly constructed?
Yes
I thought it was a harmonica that got run over by a tank
)))
Always appreciate how you try to save as much as possible. This is a ten!
Not a 225 year old knife….
Why do you believe that?
Maybe 230 or 220. That's a rough estimate. Knife of the late 18th and early 19th centuries.
restoration - 10.
definition of oldness - 2))) it`s the second hafl of 19 age max. I would say it`s from 20 age.
this type of knives is dated to the end of the 18th and the beginning of the 19th century. Along with this knife were coins from 1750-1811
