I love these I have the Pegler iterrier and reviewed them. Really nice for people who don't want to spend a fortune on heating zoning. Pegler motors are a little noisy bit used to them now.👍
I looked at the Honeywell evohome system and others but decided that I was never going to get my money back so I looked for a cheaper option and found the range of valves made by Eqiva and sold by Reichelt. The basic model is for the European market and costs less than £10 each unlike the Evohome units at over £50 each. As this guy reports they are easy to fit. The downside of the European model is that when fitted on a uk system the display and buttons are upside down but the uk model is double the price. Also I didn’t bother with the Bluetooth version. Once you’ve found your way round the menu system it all works very well and I have them on most of my rads. The idea it’s that when all the trvs are satisfied the boiler will shut down, but you must have one or two towel rails which stay open. I’m not sure yet on the savings but it’s neat having timed control of the rads
Great review. I think the App works fine with IOS Apple but looks to have pairing issues with Androd running the latest software. Can't get mine to pair at all with the App and won't go into pairing mode using an Android phone.
Nice valve... In real world how would it work... Would you leave heating system on 24 hours and then need a smart valve on every radiator to adjust the temperature as through the night you'd won't all radiators to be off..
I have these smart valves on my bedroom radiators but leave the main living room one as it was and the main thermostat then switches the boiler on and off based on that. Seems to work fine. I suppose you could have the living room warm but need heat in the bedroom but it's unlikely and can't remember it happening to me.
One reason to install these trvs is to save money so the product has to be as low cost as possible See here www.reichelt.com/gi/en/radiator-thermostats-c9504.html?&MANUFACTURER=eqiva&nbc=1 The classic N costs €7.33 whereas the Bluetooth model costs $23.49, nearly three times as much for a bit of convenience.
Ali yh this is very good, for example, my heating is on during the night for my bedroom, but i dont want my bathroom heater to be on during the night, but i do want it on when i wake up, so the bathroom is warm. Instead of me getting up earlier to open the valve and wait 30 minutes, this can do it for me. This is only one example, i have many rooms this will be good for. Thanks for the video!

Wouldn't a system like this require heat to constantly be flowing through your system?
They are for when your heating is switched on.

Thanks Malik, that`s a great description of what they are used for.
Hi ...need your help...I have bought these but they are all coming up f2 fault. It's turning round but not catching? What can I do
Sounds like a faulty one, send it back for a replacement.
I think F2 means that the trv plunger is not reaching the actual valve. Are your valves the screw down type (Honeywell) or do you need an adapter ?
What if you have ordinary turn values? is the process still the same? Or will I need to have them changed?
You will need to have them changed.
