Fruit Pastille, ran out of bait before my mate. Changed from maggot feeder to ledgered Fruit Pastille for the last half hour. Caught a chub about 4lb on a blackcurrant flavour one. (River Trent)
I never seem to catch anything as big as those carp and you make it look so bloody easy!! Great vids Graeme, very informative and great enthusiam and energy!! You should host your own TV show!
No worries mate...I don't take offensive...but it might pay you to note I only carry any grudges to the grave !!!... I know what you mean, its largely young people on RUclips, and the information from us old coffin dodgers would be lost if I didn't pass it down. Its actually a bit of a shame that more older guys(and women) don't do posts. The older generation have far more life experiences than the young "tubers" and its all knowledge that young people might otherwise never get .I will keep doing it as long as I can.
I just love how it’s not about using the most expensive rod and reel and not needing to have 5kg of ground bait and pellets to have a good days fishing here on this channel, I go fishing once maybe twice a week with my dad and we always go to small ponds but we went to a proper commercial fishery last year with our standard gear and baits and we had just as good as a day as anyone else on any of the other 6 lakes. Fishing should be fun and enjoyable and I hope I’m still as crazy about fishing when I’m your age, I’m 22 now so Iv got a bit of catching up to you but I wish you all the best and tight lines.
Graeme, have you checked out Bain Valley fisheries. they have 10 lakes main good luck seems to be stirling average catch is around 18-22lbs, £7 for a day ticket, one lake is 8 acres. its my local fishery, ive never been there yet still need a rod licence.
In my vacation to U.K , i did go and fish just one time but it was so gorgeous . The nature ,the wild life ..green all over and clean . I got a 7 kg common carp biggest fish i ever got so far ^.^
thanks so much. i am beginning to sea fish in Scotland for mackerel and pollock etc. do you have any advice for beginners and how to find fish in the water
Can u plz tell me from where I can get this fishing rod and the line too actually I need whole set of this fishing rod...i really liked that fishing rod very much
Iv'e caught lots of carp in the evening by using they crispy bits of meat I have left. I think the carp get used to anglers throwing the crispy crap bits out at the end of a session and turn onto it.
I mixed Limburger cheese, garlic and sardines. Let in set in the sun for two days. Went cat fishing with this nasty mixture, and didn't catch a thing. I must have scared them off. Lol
get a tin of sweetcorn. and curry powder and add a few drops of chilli oil and wizz it up in food processor. (so it smells nice ) and make sweet corn and curry and chilli puree and then wizz up some stall bread to make so bread crumb and mix it with it and to make a sweetcorn and curry and chillie bread paste and put a little on a size 12hook and put two grains of sweetcorn. on the hook so you got a sweet corn and curry and chilli paste cocktail. if the fish dont want it ..fry it up in frying pan and put it bread roll and you got a burger
Got to work this one out..A "squit" is what usually happens when I have a curry that is too strong, and a "leak" is what happens when I have 2 pints of Fursty Ferret beer is close succession. I certainly don't fancy trying to put any of my "squit" on a hook...Peeeeoooo !!...but I'll take a stab and say you might mean is using Squid in a lake any good for bait. The answer is yes, especially for Catfish.
TAFishing yep, i prefer to use elastic thread, it is faster, less fuss and easier to get off the hook than pantyhose or surgilast when you are ready to pack up. Just use a 3 or 4 inch piece of elastic thread, bait up the liver on a hook, then wrap up the liver nice and tight with the thread so its a big wad of liver and there are not any dangly bits the fish can grab without grabbing the hook. Boom, you're ready to fish.
I really don't rate trophy fishing. Where a man has to prove how big his balls are, by catching the biggest fish. I love TA Fishing when they look at the skills, methods, knowledge and abilities of fishing using effective qualities and observations.
What's the craziest bait you have used for Fishing??
Fruit Pastille, ran out of bait before my mate. Changed from maggot feeder to ledgered Fruit Pastille for the last half hour. Caught a chub about 4lb on a blackcurrant flavour one. (River Trent)
In India where I live, we use ant eggs for carps... they love ant eggs.. eggs of fire ant to be specific..
Makes sense. In the UK you can buy dried ant eggs for goldfish food.
Marshmallows and peanut butter-I was a kid. While I didn't catch anything, something DID eat the bait.
TAFishing chicken gravy but it caught me 25 crucian carp in two hours
I never seem to catch anything as big as those carp and you make it look so bloody easy!! Great vids Graeme, very informative and great enthusiam and energy!! You should host your own TV show!
I never leave the house without a loaf of bread on a sunny day the carp love it! 😁🎣
Do not take this offensivly, but it is very rare to see such ("old") people posting youtube videos. I really appreciate that! KEEP ON!

The Mighty Pig I second that! Never caught a tench :(
thats a shame they're incredibly hard fighting and they are beautiful
The Mighty Pig maybe I just need to get out a little earlier, the lake I'm fishing's real hard, not even perch pick up work or maggots
Come home from a quick session on a local day ticket to see TA have uploaded a new video! Tight lines 😎 keep up the good content guys 👍🏻🎣
I loved this place i caught 33 carp here off the surface mainly

Nice video guys!
Marshmallows for trout,
Ivory soap for catfish,
Dish spoon for walleye,
Potatoes for carp..
josh bentley83 marshmallow is classic trout bait out here. Basically power bait that's all it is

Great video Graeme! 👍
I would never have thought you could catch fish that big on luncheon meat! That's pretty nuts.
Does anyone know what rod he was using in this video?
Thank you Graeme. I tried to catch bream with luncheon meat but no takers. Do you rate it for bream?
Very small pieces for Bream.
TAFishing thank you. I'll try again with tiny bits.
bream have pretty big mouths i dont see why they couldnt take a small carp sized piece.
worms are my favourite bream bait
the craziest is play dough for trout and they took it!!
you can't beat meat👍
Unzips trowsers let me show ya
what was the name of the rod you were using and the reel?
Storm rod Nomura reel as far as I remember.
thanks so much. i am beginning to sea fish in Scotland for mackerel and pollock etc. do you have any advice for beginners and how to find fish in the water
also, what rods and reels would you suggest for light tackle fishing in Scotland
Thumbs up!!!!!!!
Clark and Virginia
For carp, Maltesers and stiff breadpaste balls dipped in either honey or marmite. I forgot… squid that is past its sell by date (stinky) for cats.
Can u plz tell me from where I can get this fishing rod and the line too actually I need whole set of this fishing rod...i really liked that fishing rod very much
Line is just Storm Black. They do 15lb and 20lb test.I use both for bigger fish..Carp,Catfish,Pike. I think the rod was the same make.
Iv'e caught lots of carp in the evening by using they crispy bits of meat I have left. I think the carp get used to anglers throwing the crispy crap bits out at the end of a session and turn onto it.
the master of catching on finger 😊
I mixed Limburger cheese, garlic and sardines. Let in set in the sun for two days. Went cat fishing with this nasty mixture, and didn't catch a thing. I must have scared them off. Lol

Were is this
Ahhh just what I like to see
great video (y)
Great video
Would love to see you use a Tin of pilchards
done a few search cant find prices, is it if you have to ask you cant afford it
No its just a regular day ticket (pay and fish) venue .I believe the section I fished will be open shortly ,if not now.
Day ticket is £10 night on the main lake is £25 or you can do the evening only for £6 or so but I’m not sure about the evening price
Yep, blue skies are a rarity these days...

Hi Mate... Question: What do you think about fishing with squit in a leak?? A yes or Noooo ??
Got to work this one out..A "squit" is what usually happens when I have a curry that is too strong, and a "leak" is what happens when I have 2 pints of Fursty Ferret beer is close succession. Thank you very much. I will try it out on Sunday. Sorry about that Squid/squit mix up... lol...
each lake at pond wood is 3 ft deep its fishing in a pond
1.44 you missed that one.
I can’t be certain, but it looks very much like another in the water just after you it. Right behind the net.
First comment! Keep up the good work guys!
Do fly Fishing on this lake please or use bread as bait on the surface
Sweets and peas
Chicken liver works great for carp
I hear its great for Catfish as well. Fished inside a net stocking like they do for Giant White Sturgeon.
TAFishing yep, i prefer to use elastic thread, it is faster, less fuss and easier to get off the hook than pantyhose or surgilast when you are ready to pack up. superb! i hope my retirement goes as well as yours Graeme! days of your life buddy.

The amount of advertising across the web, including almost every video on RUclips is becoming tiresome. Fucking annoying.
