I often show youtube shih tzu grooming on my channel GroomerOK. Because I often hear questions about grooming shih tzu face and shih poo grooming.
Shih tzu haircuts can be variety.
These dogs are very active and playful, so choose a haircut for your shih tzu according to your pet’s lifestyle.
If you want easy care you need to choose shih tzu haircuts short.
Petgrooming is different from exhibition.

I used for shih groom:
Body haircut - Andis 7FC blade
Shih tzu head grooming, paws. Scissors:
- Geib Blak Perl 7 "
- Rose Line straight 8"
- Yento finish scissors 6"
- P&W Dragon finish scissors 6"
Shampoo 1st and second bath - Iv San Bernard Apple
Mask - Iv San Bernard Maracuja or conditioner Iv San Bernard Apple

So adorable!! My mum passed away 2 months ago and I have taken on her shih tzu Bella because she was my mums whole life and my mum was hers. She is extremely depressed and has had to get some things done at vet like anal glands popped and skin treatment and bloods taken as she wasn't eating needing carried around all day where she would just sob quietly on my shoulder, so I got her a health check and now it's clear she has bad depression and healthy other wise. She hated the groomers 6 weeks ago and I've been watching these for some tips as she loves a bath and allows me to brush her and stuff so I'm planning on grooming her myself untill she is feeling better in herself , I feel like she would allow me to as she has clung to me won't even go out a walk with anyone but me. I just adore her.

You appear to be a very gentle, empathetic and compassionate groomer. I enjoyed watching your scissors magically glide over this sweetheart's beautiful fur. Thank you. I was, however, a little disappointed that we didn't see you trim the hair right on top of the nose and around the eyes. I'm not complaining at all. You are a gentle groomer. And, for our furry friend, you are a blessing. One other thing... I have a 2 year old Yorkie and a 2 year old Shorkie. I am very gentle with them, but they are not well- behaved at all when I groom them. The pet that you were grooming was an angel. I have a feeling this is a groomer's secret. 😉😃❤

My dog ( ARCHI) Shihtzu is my PARTNER IN CRIME . ❤ I groom him and his calm . We do everything together . He follows me everywhere I go . Even for holiday trips he is with us . SHIHTZU*S are the ANGELS . ❤

My mom and I are rescuing a 2 year old male Shih tzu on Friday. We dont know his full story yet, but the shelter said he is fearful of men and would be best placed in a female household. My mom and I are so thrilled to welcome this sweet boy into our home. I just want to spoil him to death!!

I loved the video and the haircut I would really like to do that for my pup, my aunt in Mexico has a shih tzu and just gave birth, she said if I interested in one, I was so happy. My aunt told me that she could bring him when she could separate him from his mom. But I am very excited though it will take lots of responsibility to do so...

Машинка для волос не подстрижет шерсть пекинеса.
Лучше использовать Moser Max 45 или KM 10.
А вот ножницы парикмахерские и ножи на машинку (стандарт крепления А5) подойдут для стрижки Вашей собачки.
Здравствуйте. Вы 7 лезвием по шерсти стригли? Короче их стричь можно. 5 против шерсти?
Обычно я стригу 13 мм по росту, но иногда 9 или 7 мм по росту шерсти.
5 против шерсти это очень коротко и может быть раздражение по коже

Yes, this guy loves when I cut his hair. 😊
But I also have not very calm dogs.
You need to train your puppy to grooming from early childhood.
And an adult dog needs to be praised on grooming and give something tasty if it is sitting quietly.
My terror is brushed every single day (he just turned one) and every day he tries to nip me. I discourage the nipping and praise when he allows me to brush him. Any tips? He did have a particularly traumatic first haircut with trauma to both eyes so guessing that may be the root of issues

You are doing everything right. You praise him when he obeys.
Of course, trauma is one of the reasons for his distrust. This is a serious reason.

So dear. I have 3 Shih tzu’s and they require so much maintenance! My clippers seem to be worn out, and my scissors need sharpening. My boy dog digs and rolls in dirt. He gets dirty and smelly so quickly.

GroomerOK Well actually I also have 4 doggies. They kind of have a puppy cut of sorts. Just utilitarian. The mommy dog has a little top knot for a bow.
