What does it treat?

How long do results last?
Depending on the brand and the type of filler, your treatment may last anywhere from 6 to 24 months.
Recovery time & side effects?
You can resume much of your normal life immediately after treatment, but we ask you to avoid vigorous exercise, intense heat and sun exposure. Refrain from touching and sleeping on the treatment area.
How does it work?
Some fillers use hyaluronic acid, a substance that is naturally found in our skin, but one that lessens as we age, causing a decrease in our skin’s volume and hydration. Others contain a synthetic material called calcium hydroxyapatite that stimulates collagen formation, contributing to improved viscosity and elasticity. Still others use Poly-L Lactic acid (PLLA), a safe, biocompatible, bio-stimulatory regenerative agent that corrects volume loss by stimulating collagen growth. At your complimentary consultation, your physician will recommend the appropriate approach for you.
Does it hurt?
To keep you comfortable we can ice and numb the area, but we also use special techniques to minimize any discomfort and/or bruising. Most patients find that filler treatment is very tolerable.
What is the procedure time?
Treatments can take anywhere from 30 to 60 minutes depending on the treatment area and your treatment plan.
Who is a good candidate?

Very strange technique- have never seen sculptra being injected like that, especially into the lower face.
Hi did I miss it, are there before and after photos? No way to tell if this is a good job, technique, or product without seeing the result.
We don’t want to see the injection process.. we wanted to see the results :(
actually I do want to see the injection process as its very important to me to know what I should expect. if you do not want to see this process, simply google before and after of Sculptra and don't click on videos to then leave comments like!!!!!

I used sculptra for the saggy skin in my neck. I got liposuction in the past in this area. Awesome results after 3 inyections.

Did it reduce the loose neck skin? I have the same issue of saggy skin post fat loss from rf microneedling
Off-topic, but this patient’s lips are over-filled and have the “duck lip” look in profile. I hope the practitioner has talked to her about this.
Preference
Beware of Sculptra! In 2019 I went to a dermatologist to fix the acne scars on my face. I was told my face was too hollow and needed Sculptra to add more volume. I was told it was safe and there was nothing to worry about. After the procedure, I developed some large cystic lumps on my face. It took four and a half years to go away and left some scars after it dissolved. It was a nightmare! Never again.
So sorry that was your experience! Unfortunately, there are providers who don't know how to properly mix or inject Sculptra. This treatment requires an expert to perform, and patients must follow after-care protocol.
Inexperienced injector most likely?
It should be with Canula injection and it’s only around check and not allowed around mouth or under eyes at all

Why no aspiration?
She aspirated. She's an experienced injector it can be done with one hand quickly unnoticed to the inexperienced eye

Seriously!?!? Why the hell is that girl having sculptra done , what is the point? She looks like she’s in her late 20s, maybe. What is wrong with people today. I wish you guys would start using patients in your RUclips videos who actually need these treatments done not overly vain 20 somethings.
She's definitely not in her 20s but because she is proactive about her skin care she looks like she is. We have videos of patients of all ages. It really depends on who is willing to share their experience.

Yes, though you'll have a full vial of it and will want the rest of it placed in areas of the face you may want more lift or volume.
Did you diluted Sculptra? Or just used vortex mixer?
8cc sterile water, 1 cc lido without epi and then vortex agitate it.
To me she looked like she was very uncomfortable, during the treatment, holding the pain, and thinking, " when will she be over??!

Not true. It’s incredibly painful even with the lidocaine, and it can make you feel like you’re going to faint.
Is that any side effect?
There can be soreness post treatment. If the treatment is not properly performed, there can be granulomas. Seek an experienced injector if you opt for Sculptra.
Don’t you have to massage it in?
Yes. We'll massage in office, but the after care assigned is massage 5x a day, 5 minutes a time for 5 days.
Did you have lidocaine on the face first?
Absolutely. We make the patient as comfortable as possible!
shouldn't there be more ice on the face all over before injecting and right after. sould be like covering the whole face for a while before and after...
She is numbed with lidocaine and there is lidocaine in the Sculptra solution.
I've never used ice. It's not necessary at all.

It has to be placed almost to the bone. The new dilution protocols have made a big difference.

They explain this on training. No one should be doing this unless trained, even if filler qualified. It hasn’t be injected differently for different areas and different depths, very finely placed and a lot more else you will get nodules.

going to get mine in a week as noticed a big volume drop over the last two years and mainly on my cheeks. i saw you used 2 vials. i'm trying to gauge how much i might need. how many cc did you get from each vial please?

@@ibanez856 i ended up getting 2 vials, 2 months apart. it's true that the water retention right after is great, but the actual results i got a few months after, for the money (700 dollars a vial) wasn't that good for me. might go for a third vial again in the future as i noticed a slight improvement but nothing impressive. I know you need to do many vials to get a good result but if after 2 i can barely notice it then seems like i will need way more than the average person and not willing to spend 1000s just for an extremely small improvement in my cheeks.
@@denacoI have tried a few PLLA brands on myself and clients, best was Lanluma by far!!! Be mindful and wait a good three months before having another treatment as it’s very effective and you don’t want to look over filled in certain areas treated.
