Worth the upgrade from the vanilla KM2? I see the KM2 Plus got the same score.
FYI - It's 100 Mbps (MegaBIT not MegaByte)

Mind you Roku offers were pretty good during prime sale.
Probably a really dumb question -- do you have to use your own Netflix / RUclips account with this or does it have access to those (in the case of RUclips, RUclips Premium)?

Hey, the Google Sheet Ranking Chart for 2022+2023 lists "Dolby Atmos / Visions" for this device as "NONE". Can you update it to "ATMOS" so it fits your review and their product page?
What about Keyboard or Mouse via BT or USBport? (Instead of voice control)???

Totally Yes......gave up on them many years ago (2017)...nothing special and you can get better well know devices that are cheaper and have support behind them.....I can't imagine the thought and price its going to cost to return it........These imported boxes are dead & useless

Nice review...Finally ,something that plays 4k apps...but......I would have liked to see you add "Developer Options" and that 100 lan gives me thoughts that WiFi has a limit too....Your office goes to only 60 megs.......A lot of people can get GIG Internet .......you need to add better Wifi tests.....2.4 & 5g and its limits.....a city guy you are not :)

Does the drive the external videos are stored on need to be Fat32 or can it be NTFS?
I recently purchased mecool km2 plus. After it has been off for a long time and when it is turned on, it only displays an image in the upper left corner of the screen. It's strange that when I restart the device or turn it off and on again, the image returns to full screen.
Anyone having a problem?

I hear complaint that Play store is not supported. How do I add official TV streaming, as APK is not always available, or if it is, not for TV, but phone?
The Prime Video version (5.7.8+v14.0.0.230-amrv7a) that came installed on the KM2 Plus, doesn't update at all, on the Google Play Store or via APK, doesn't it update to the latest version?!

My device Mecool KM2 plus have problem on HDR. It is not working HDR on my TV and HDR video even always on HDR. Km2 plus is confusing with Dolby vision and HDR at loading screen and switch to normal 4k
So after watching your review during which you said its possible to load third party APK apps. I bought a Mecool Km2 plus and found that's it not possible becaise of the Google licensing. So can you explain how you were able to do it please?

What is the main difference between it and KM2.??
Main differences: The KM2 Plus has faster processor, more storage space and better BT v5.0.
Everything else is the same.

Why does the power button shut off my tv but not mecool??
Been using this box for a week now and the only problem I get is a black screen when playing videos! It is not long but still a bother! Anybody else having this problem?
What about supported audio codecs? Does it allow to passthrough e.g. Dolby TrueHD or DTS-HD MA to AVR without transcoding?

@@adikookida8885 Oglądałem inną recenzję i jest tak jak wspominasz, czyli nie obsługuje Dolby TrueHD czy DTS-HD MA lecz DTS i DD+ maksymalnie. Poza tym brak Dolby Vision to też minus. Moim zdaniem ten model nie jest warty swojej ceny.

brother, one question, I'm in doubt, since the mecool km2 plus has the Amlogic S905X4-B soc and the AV1 codecs and apart from it has Netflix 4K certification, it would no longer be worth buying a Mecool Km6 Deluxe because the Mecool Km2 Plus already has almost everything and at a good price, THANK YOU.
The KM6 wasn't as good as the KM2 anyway Daniel.

Or only output stereo 2.0 like km2?
yes its 5.1 / DTS (well my AV receiver decodes it fine!)

Hello everyone. Is there any method to install EmuElec? I created a bootable disk on the sd card, but I have no way to reset the device to reboot mode. I used the reboot to libreELEC app, but it didn't work. Another thing is not working Dig - Emulator Front-End and Redream. Help!

My KM2 (not plus) gave on the HDMI port, no signal. Tested cables and on other tv. The box works (picks up and transmits Chromecast) any workaround/ fix ideas?
Try a different HDMI cable, that might work.

My km2+ arrived today. So far so good. Only issue is my tv screen flickers while browsing Netflix. Need to turn off Always on HDR to fix the issue. All other streaming apps are ok.
I like to keep HDR on auto. Also make sure your TV supports 4K HDR
@@ChigzTech my tv is 4k. I can't find the Auto HDR on the KM2+. Only the option to switch on or off Always on HDR.
I have problem on HDR. Even HDR always on, my LG tv cannot detect HDR also Netflix showing only 4kultra and not 4khdr.

Is this better then the mecool km6 deluxe ? Or the beelink gt king ??
KM6 deluxe has better specs than the KM2 plus. But lacks Netflix certification. If you don't care about Netflix then the KM6 deluxe is better. Beelink GT King is actually very powerful compared to KM6 and KM2. but it lacks official ATV and Netflix certifications. Again same, if you don't care about certifications or ATV then the King is the best.

I am planning to buy Km2 Plus but I am seeking advice from someone who tried to play games on GeForce Now with Km2 Plus.
Can this setup provide a satisfactory gaming experience, or would it be an impractical investment?

No i have regular km2 never received a single update and the worst thing about it is you can't turn off HDR
It's still better than mi box s it's faster with no wifi issues
I wish MeCool would install 1GB LAN on their official Netflix boxes only downside of their nice devices
Honestly, 100mb LAN is very usable and I have never experienced lags or buffering with Netflix, Apple TV+, RUclips, etc.

Can you actually get to the usual Android interface and install whatever apps you want to from the Play Store?
UPDATE: So I bought it, and, no you can't. There are very limited apps and you can't even install Firefox on it. But it will do Kodi just fine and it's even an option to install when you load it up for the first time. I don't know why Firefox hasn't bothered to make a browser for this very restrictive OS yet.
It also means you can't install "no root firewall" or a force stop app or anything else which would be useful to you, but I think you can do it by side loading it.
That background music is OLD HAT NOW.. I thought you had changed it ??? Having said that , all your videos are most instructive and appreciated.. Just PLEASE change the music..
I like to mix it up. You will hear different beats in videos.

I have a Netflix issue when I use the Mecool KM2 Plus with my Sony KD-65X8500E 4k HDR TV. My screen flickers when I browse through the video titles in Netflix. I have two workarounds to prevent the flickering.
1. Disable the autoplay previews in Netflix.
2. Turn off the HDR in HDR Policy in the Mecool resolution setting.
This seems like a software bug in the Mecool HDR feature since my TV can play 4k HDR video. Anybody with similar issue?
