We had a ginormous bear on our porch last night at 1 am. It is weird when all that separates you from certain doom is some glass and wood. Probably even scarier when you're surrounded by a herd of bear. But I bet those were pretty well fed.
@@annien.1727 I thought it was weird for them to be in a group. The grown males are usually lone while younger ones go find their own territory and the females alone raising cubs.

I was not aware this place existed! How wonderful to be able to see the animals in an area that allowed them much more freedom than a zoo atmosphere! I'm curious if they are all rescues................It's obvious they are accustomed to vehicles going by, but I would think if a person got out of their car, they would not fare well at all. I think I'm going to do some research on the park. Thank you for showing this.
I love these drive in parks where you can see wild animals up close while in a car. I have been to one before but they didn't allow bears to roam around like this. What a wild experience. I just came back from South Dakota and heard of this place when I was there but sadly didn't have time to check it out :( hopefully next time.
2:52 it's not for the wolves, we have the same thing around here to prevent cows from leaving enclosures, they can't/don't dare cross those things because their hooves would go between the bars, it's probably to prevent the moose from leaving.
When you said I didn't know that this many bears could get along together, I was thinking exactly the same thing when you said that, it was like you read my mind lol. Really nice place.
Nice! Bear Country USA is a great place to visit. It's so nice that we drive through their (animals) park. Very cool! That elk was resting near a tree when we were there in 2006, isn't that amazing! Thanks for sharing your adventure.
I love your video of Bear Country U.S.A. That was awesome to see that many bears together in one area and getting along. I have such a love and fascination with bears. I'm obsessed, so thank you for sharing your adventure
This is crazy!! So many bears all over. I have been to Lazy 5 Ranch in Mooresville & loved that they offer a horse pulled wagon thru the zones of animals. The animals knew the wagon had food & no risk of damage to the car. I agree about those grated barriers on the road, do they REALLY keep anything from crossing if they really wanted to?
I was there in 1976 with my family. We drove our motorhome through Bear Country U.S.A.. They did not allow motorhomes with spare tires on the back to go in. The reason is that the bears could rip the spare tires off. Fortunately, our tire was mounted underneath so we could go in. We had a bear that was pacing back in forth in front of us when we were there. It was a fun place to go to.
Jacob, the next time you go through Montana, you should go to Montana Grizzly Encounter. I'd also be interested in any wildlife rescue or rehab center you visit. As far as theme parks, have you been to every Christmas-themed park to which you can drive?
About 40 yrs ago my car had broken down so I borrowed my parents car to go grocery shopping . I came out of the store ,started to cross the parking lot with my one yr old daughter in a stroller when a man grabbed my arm and said not to head that way because a bear had escaped from a circus and was on top of and destroying someone’s car.Guess who’s?
Daaaaaa bears. Loved hearing your reaction to seeing that many bears in one place! Bear Country is an awesome place. Haven't been there in a while, think I'll stop by next time I'm in the Black Hills.
On my way to Breckenridge Colorado couple years back, I was in a back road of Amarillo Texas. I stopped in the middle of the road and came across an all white wolf the size of my Nissan Sentra. It was tagged with a tracer, I ended up scooping it up taking it on my trip to Colorado and then to a local vet. That trip was the first time I've ever seen a cop almost shit his pants while coming to my window.
