@Major woody good way to get a bear killed. Had 7 near where I live that had to be put down because they weren't afraid of people. Moron was feeding them and one day he got bit.
@Major woody I bought a house in the mountains of NM about 5 years ago and the owners son told me that his dad was feeding a bear. The next spring he showed up and he was obviously not afraid. Dogs chased him off and he returned. Told the game warden what was going on and he gave me rubber buckshot and hit him from the porch at close range and have only seen him on game cameras not closer than 100 yards of the house and I'm cool with that.
that's probably a good way you went about that. Personally, I'd be terrified of my dog or other dogs getting killed and/or eaten by a bear. Dogs instinct is to run right up to it and start barking. What are the chances that doesn't scare the bear off and causes a fight? Apparently a bear has been spotted in my suburban neighborhood recently. I will not let my dog off leash at when its dark out and even during the day she isn't leaving my property.

The moment when you say "No" to a bear that weights at least twice of you and he actually listens. Makes sense actually, knowing how most animals react to dominant behavior, but knowing it and having the balls to actually stand still and say "No" are two different things 😂
The fuck you mean twice as you. These ones in this vid are small. Blacks bears can get to 600 but that’s like in those regions with an abundance of food. Females are like 100 to 120lbs and males maybe 200 to 300
I have a method of dealing with JWs. You open the front door in full American Psycho cosplay. Plastic mac covered in fake blood with a meat cleaver in my hand. Scares the bastards shitless.
When I was an 8 year old kid many decades ago, I remember the JW’s pulling up in a car & walking down our sidewalk Saturday morning. My mother would see them coming and yell “Everyone down, turn off the lights, and don’t make a sound!” Each time we would do that, they’d knock on the door and then eventually walk away (but it was awkward and stressful). My mother would always say, “I wish they’d stop bothering us.” [Bare in mind, I’m paraphrasing the next part of the story as it took place decades ago]👇👇👇 Until one time, Mom didn’t see them coming down the sidewalk but I did. Being the ‘lovable pain in the neck’ I was at that time😏, I ripped open the front door just as they were about to knock and said, “How come you knock on stranger’s doors this early on Saturday mornings?” One of them replied, “Because we speak we others about the Bible & the Kingdom of Heaven.” I said, “Does God give you permission to do that?” They replied, “Yes, I believe HE does.” I asked, “ Well, how can I be sure about that and know what you’re saying is true? Do you have a signed permission slip from GOD? (Keep in mind for perspective, in the 1980’s - kids needed permission slips to go on field trips, be late to school or roam the hallways in school). One JW replied, “No, young man GOD’s permission doesn’t work like that. Is one of your parents home?” I answered, “Yup, my Mom’s out back but you guys scare the crap outta her so it’s probably better you talk to me.” One of them says, “Why do we scare your mother?” I said, “Because you remind her of that creepy cult preacher from the Poltergeist 2 movie that tried to convince Carol Anne’s father to let him inside their home to talk but he was really a bad man.” The JW Group of 4: “Ohhh, well tell your mother we’re very sorry and we won’t bother her again. I replied, “Okay.” (Closed the Door). Walked out back like Pacino in the Godfather and said to my Mom, “I took care of the problem for you!” Mom was distracted but said, “Okay, thank you, dear! Wait, what problem?!”

The only time you may be mauled is if you’re near their territory or they or in the verge of starvation death.
More like, “your food right? We can eat you right?”
Oh wow. Very cool. Beautiful. Very lucky to see this. Man I would have chills to see these magnificent animals come around. What a blessing.
A blessing he’s not been eaten... 😏
They're like big overgrown dogs.
Bear: I'm gonna go on the hekin steps!
Human: Don't come up here
Bear: Ok....
Joe very distant tho
A biologist told: me once you could think of bears as giant dogs. They have good hearing and sense of smell and poor vision.
wow walking up to the most dangerous animal on the planet, those bears sure are brave!
I think brown bears/grizzly bears are more dangerous. They even eat black bears.
@@beaneatingoni1353 humans are the most dangerous animal :)
@@beaneatingoni1353 haha u dont understand the subject 🤣😂🤣
@@beaneatingoni1353 When you’re talking about bear species, the most dangerous bear species is actually the polar bear 🐻❄️. Polar bears are hyper carnivores and will basically eat anything in the Arctic as there is no vegetation up there. That means they can even eat a human. Most bears are omnivores, but polar bears are actually the only bear species that is 100% carnivorous. And if you want to venture into polar bear country? Be sure to buy a snowmobile as that would help avoid being eaten by a hungry polar bear especially one that advances and starts to run at you, you need that snowmobile as you’re not gonna outrun a bear on foot.
@@beazrich2.017 But we don't have polar bear in America, Aisa and even other area. The amount of polar bear is not as big as brown bear. The chance of people encounter brown bears is more common then people encounter polar bears.
That look before the bear left the stoop was priceless he was like "I'll remember that buddy" @ 3:04
lol
I can feel it
Man: Don't come up.
Bear: How rude!
Oh I thought the same thing!
@@dot9000 That's it!! 👍
It's so wonderful to see this video in retrospect, now that Simone is grown and has her own cubs whom she brings to Patrick's porch. Awww!! 🐻
I had to smile when the bear was walking away , he / she gave you a look for luck, for not letting him/ she onto your porch .But they sure are a handsome family ❤️🇦🇺🐨🐨🇦🇺
Guy: it’s you again been a long time
Bear: would you like to talk about our lord and sav....
guy: nope go away
That's terrific!
Hahahah underrated comment
LOL good one my friend made me laugh out loud
That’s hysterical
Did they Bear witness?.....I'll see my self out now😁
It's the bear HOA doing inspection making sure every house is bear compliant.
A bear’s existence seems very lonely to me after they’ve reached a year in age. It’s nice to see a grown family still together!
Beautiful but I felt sorry for the one trying come on the porch🤦🏽♀️😂
You've got to set boundaries.
I'm shocked that they actually backed up 😂
@@happyblacklegends I'm amazed he understood. ,,No,,.. Wish a lot of humans understood it, as well?
Glad he taught him people don't like that, can get scared and cost him his life.
@ Camaro. Why?
That's exactly how you safely enjoy wildlife. No fear, but a great deal of respect, and allowing them to be just what they are.
Those are some polite bears. My parents get visitors like these in northern Ontario and it's unbelievable how close and comfortable black bears can be around people. Brown bears are another story.
Used to have black bears on our property in northwest NJ before we moved to Florida. Beautiful and gentle giants. You have to respect them, of course, but they are beautiful. Miss them.
Hikes in the nearby woods must be a real adventure.
Bloody may well be!
bodensick Or kids playing outside or walking your dog.😯
I just started watching these videos from Patrick. Just beautiful moments between him and the bears. Also, Patrick needs to write a book about how to respect bears or even wild life.
Wow, I am in awe how close they came to you. I love black bears so much...
Oh gosh new sub. Thank RUclips's algorithm 😂 LOVE your channel! I've NEVER seen black bears travel together. Not even once. This is amazing. He looked at you like, "I'll be back!" 🤣
Welcome aboard! Thanks!
Up close and personal! I couldn't imagine how amazing this experience must have been! Thank you for sharing!
Sir, do you have a moment to talk about our lord and savior Yogi Bear
cause in the next few seconds you are gonna need a savior!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Oh sorry, we thought the open house inspection was today
It makes me happy to see you interacting with them while still maintaining a boundary. Can’t have them getting TOO comfortable with humans.
Cute bears. But it's dangerous for them to get comfortable around humans. They might end up getting put down in the future. Best to scare them away from homes for their own safety..
yogiyoda And risk getting mauled? Sure you do that!
@Sims 3 Forever Dude Hahaha no you wouldn't.

Sims 3 Forever Dude
Such a sanctimonious statement.
So somebody has been feeding them? Why else would they come that close?
bears are scavengers, and every animal alive knows that human trash is the best place to scavenge for food
BPRescue If they will scavenge that makes them scavengers lol. Doesn’t mean it’s their main source of sustenance.
To swim in the pool.
They tend to root through trash cans and such for leftovers.
They’re good boys, jonny
Love this video , you are educating so many people about black bear ! they really wanted to go on your porch but they decided it was best to just go enjoy the weeds and what else they could find on your property ! They are so gorgeous !
Your energy comunication with them is flawless! You are a good human
Energy communication? Do I need a crystal ball and wizard cap to gain this power?
@@ripvanwinkle1819 no, it's just a vibe. You pick up on them too, whether you realize it or not.
God has blessed us with a beautiful Garden called planet earth. It is such a privilege to watch this majestic animals...
Our admiration and respect is what they deserve
I am sure the Zebra being eaten alive by a lion might not see it that way. Or do you only think that when you selectively see something you consider cute that could turn into a major news story in a second when getting close to a wild animal.
What a treasure! Thank you for posting and for making the bears safe!
"Hi Can we tell you about our lord and saviour, Winnie the Pooh?"
"What did i- No- get away"
Ah, way to make the joke even worse a third time...
I would never tire of seeing these beauties emerge from the forest and head over to my house. What a gift and a blessing to share time with them. 🌸🖤🌸🐻🐻🐻🐻🌸🖤🌸 They look very healthy. What is the sound they are making? Do you usually just like to have one up to visit on the porch at a time? 4 at a time might be overwhelming. 😄
I hope they will always stay healthy, happy, safe and together.♥️
"It's YOU again. Been a while."
Bear: "I just ..."
Host: "Go away"
So sad.
They are not the Teddybears from a while ago, you do not want three teenagers on your veranda, but love to see a baby.
Do yo want him to hug them?
They’re bears👀
😂😂
Hey there. I’ve been watching your videos chronicling this bear family. You have serious guts to keep your composure in front of creatures that can seriously harm you. I wish you good health in the future! Keep the videos coming
We can't see it in the video, but he probably has a loaded shotgun across his lap. If he doesn't, he has a death wish.
we need this man to approach Bigfoot like that
The moment when you say "No" to a bear that weights at least twice of you and he actually listens.
Females are like 100 to 120lbs and males maybe 200 to 300
They’re still not as intrusive as Jehovah's Witnesses knocking on neighborhood doors at 10am on a Saturday.
I have a method of dealing with JWs. You open the front door in full American Psycho cosplay. Plastic mac covered in fake blood with a meat cleaver in my hand. Scares the bastards shitless.
Plus, they'd scare the JW's away
When I was an 8 year old kid many decades ago, I remember the JW’s pulling up in a car & walking down our sidewalk Saturday morning. My mother would see them coming and yell “Everyone down, turn off the lights, and don’t make a sound!” Each time we would do that, they’d knock on the door and then eventually walk away (but it was awkward and stressful). My mother would always say, “I wish they’d stop bothering us.”
[Bare in mind, I’m paraphrasing the next part of the story as it took place decades ago]👇👇👇
Until one time, Mom didn’t see them coming down the sidewalk but I did.
Being the ‘lovable pain in the neck’ I was at that time😏, I ripped open the front door just as they were about to knock and said, “How come you knock on stranger’s doors this early on Saturday mornings?”
One of them replied, “Because we speak we others about the Bible & the Kingdom of Heaven.”
I said, “Does God give you permission to do that?”
They replied, “Yes, I believe HE does.”
I asked, “ Well, how can I be sure about that and know what you’re saying is true? Do you have a signed permission slip from GOD? (Keep in mind for perspective, in the 1980’s - kids needed permission slips to go on field trips, be late to school or roam the hallways in school).
One JW replied, “No, young man GOD’s permission doesn’t work like that. Is one of your parents home?”
I answered, “Yup, my Mom’s out back but you guys scare the crap outta her so it’s probably better you talk to me.”
One of them says, “Why do we scare your mother?”
I said, “Because you remind her of that creepy cult preacher from the Poltergeist 2 movie that tried to convince Carol Anne’s father to let him inside their home to talk but he was really a bad man.”
The JW Group of 4: “Ohhh, well tell your mother we’re very sorry and we won’t bother her again.
I replied, “Okay.” (Closed the Door). Walked out back like Pacino in the Godfather and said to my Mom, “I took care of the problem for you!”
Mom was distracted but said, “Okay, thank you, dear! Wait, what problem?!”
@Knott Chu you are a legend
Saul Jimenez : It was an epic moment of my childhood. To this day, my mother still doesn’t know why they stopped coming around every Saturday morning.
OMG you are crazy!!! I can't believe that you stood out there that close to them but... they had respect!

I really appreciate the fact that you respect them, their nature, and keep distance between you and them. Some people wouldn't do that, and I think that is detrimental to the animals, not to mention to ourselves, lol.
Such beautiful animals. Mama bear is so graceful. The boys are growing up fast. Love this bear family. 🥰
People have over built everywhere. This is their land. Love how he talks to them.
Exactly! The animals become the victims. Too many humans never learn. Let the animals have their space!
@@catlover34fl why? we need our own space
@@catlover34fl Where should we live then?
@Jonah Wilcox but we need animals though lmao this is edgy and dumb logic. We need snakes, like we need bees, like we need bears.
Continuing to disturb nature isn't smart
Animals maintain the tropic levels but now some of the species are on verge of extinction. We all know the tropic levels are now not in balanced and disturbed since the dawn of humanity. So yeah human conquered it at costs of nature imbalance and disturbance. Sooner or later most of the animals will gone extinction but that's how it is.
If mama felt that her cubs were threatened this would have been a different kind of video.
Not an expert but I'm guessing that by that time, the mom figured the cubs were big enough to handle it if a human tried anything.

as they mauled him
Didn't realise you were outside with them until I saw your hand. Beautiful animals. I love your videos of them.
no, he should keep his ass clear and not encourage this behavior at all. A few bang sticks could teach these bear not to come here and could save a human and a bears life one day. The man behind the camera is a fucking fool.
and how cute they are trained to eat-off-his-hand
It's a true testament that these bears are willing to come right up to you and your property without any sense of aggression or fear. Well done!
