I have new Kichler undercabinet LEDs recently installed. I used the Lutron Maestro dimmer switch recommended by Kichler and it still hums.

Looks like they have a full chart for what switches work on their products, I would double check the product number against the switch, but buy any number of the switches and see what works.... It could be a faulty light as well.... If it's not the switch or the light it could be another light or switch on the same home run causing interference.... With LED lights they all operate on drivers; differences in the drivers frequency causes odd things to happen... It's a bit of a pia to deal with... I just recently re wired my entire living room to get some smart lights to work properly... Having a dedicated line for 9 lights to work properly is a fair trade, but for some under cabinet lighting depending on how extensive it is it might require the same treatment... Electrical work requires a detective hat sometimes. Best of luck 🤞🏼

Best of luck, these LED dimmable bulbs and switch combos used to be prohibitively expensive somewhere north of a $100 a switch years ago, and even then you would have buzzing... But I can confirm that months later this has stopped the buzzing and was well worth the effort to swap.

So it's not the switch, it was the light/bulb?

It might look the same but there's a 5 year difference in the age of the lightbulbs... If you plan on installing a bunch of LED lights with dimmable features they usually tell you what switch/lights they're compatible with on the box... Everything's a lot cheaper now than it used to be and they should last pretty much forever... But I'm sure in 5 years I'll be updating it to some kind of WiFi controlled device

Yesterday I replaced a 20-year old (incandescent only) dimmer in my bathroom because the LED bulbs were buzzing. I bought a $30 Lutron LED+ dimmer and installed it... turned the switch on, and it did exactly the same thing! I thought the "LED Dimmers" were supposed to eliminate that issues, but apparently not. Now I am thinking maybe I got some cheap-ass LED bulbs that are just low quality, I am so aggravated. It's amazing with all the technology we have these days, that these engineers cannot even make a lightbulb. Thomas Edison invented the light bulb in 1880, and they work better than the ones we have now. How sad. @@seanbouker
