Used 4 rusty nails and a pair of vice grips, do not recommend unless you have exceptional patience

i just used 4 nails, but the right side was really hard to get to (and someone had already pried the right side console open to get to the radio... for the same reason probably...)

Do you think you could fit a 2din navigation and radio system in that slot?

    • @dannywaccoe6978

      Did you fit one

    • @krienmineel

@@dannywaccoe6978 Nope but iam pretty sure you can. You need a adapter cable to connect the the audio system to the new radio

How is the sound quality in comparison with the original Radio? And what about the levers from the steering wheel? Is there any adapter? Greetings from Germany

Sound quality is improved but a lot depends on what condition the original cardboard speakers are in,no point in a new stereo if the speakers are worn out/damp/rotten card.
As for the steering controls you would need an interface like this one -

PJs projects thank you a lot for you answer :D Well I'm going to put a Subwoofer into my car. I ordered a high low converter for my radio for an aux output. It took a while to decide if I want to loose the functions from my steering wheel or not. Maybe I will change my radio in the future an add this adapter. Thanks. And sorry for my Bad english.

can i make the radio removal clips from a random wire or use a smaller screwdriver or something?

    • @PJsprojects

2012isRonPaul Yes you can, four small screw drivers do the trick.

    Hi mate
At 4:15 the power cable. Does this come automatically connected to the plug or do you have to manually connect the single wires to a plug? as I have seen with most unboxings of car stereos the remote cable has a plug at one end and just wires at the other.
Also which plugs go into which slot on the car stereo. Eg. Power and speakers.
    Cheers

Hi, great video. I own a 2003 Mondeo pre-facelift, and I want to replace my radio. Would a 2-DIN radio fit in the console, or would I have to make adjustments in the dash?

    • @PJsprojects
      @PJsprojects  7 лет назад

Sadly not,a double din unit is to high at 113mm,you can get an adaptor cage that is 103mm high but even that is to big for the Mondeo. To fit a full size double din unit in the dash some messy adaptation would be needed.

Can you use the steering-control of the car for this radio or do you need an adapter ?
    thanks

You would need an interface like this one - www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FORD-MONDEO-MK3-B5Y-2000-2004-Car-Stereo-Steering-Wheel-Interface-Aeriel-Kit/272754136435?hash=item3f8169d573:g:ydkAAOSwhgJZYOm1

I would try Amazon,Ebay or car shops. All the parts I use are from trade only supplies.
