- Aeroccino3 magnetic whisks not spinning. This video shows you how to open up the Aeroccino in simple ways and how to test what's wrong with it, then repairing it!
Thanks a lot for this useful video.
One note: in order disconnect the motor's power connector, no need to remove the upper module. I was able to disconnected that connector, switch between the wires and connect it back, without remove the upper module.
Your repair was spot on. Took about 20 minutes and my wife is thrilled 😁
Thank you, you were the only one who talked about the motor not working and your fix worked! Well done!
Thank your very much for your video! I followed your clearly explained steps and managed to fix our red light blinking broken aerocinno 3. Reversing the polarity indeed works. The milk frother is working beautifully again! Really helps!
Excellent. Especially the demo how to remove the knob to switch on and off. I would have never guessed that it is so easy. I got my Aeroccino fixed and it works again. Thanks.
Great instructions, thank you! Very simple and to-the-point. Like the person below, I also had a burnt/blown thermal fuse. Very easy to replace. Works like new again.
Thank you for your wonderful video. I reversed the polarity of the magnet and now my aeroccino is back to life again! :))
I just followed the instructions and my aeroccino is back in business !! Thanks for the tutorial !
Hi! Thanks for the great tutorial! :) Just opened it and...pushed the motor a bit. It was a lazy one lol. Aeroccino now works! Once again, thanks for the lifesaver :D
Thanks for a great tutorial, followed the steps and it worked like a dream. Back to those frothy cappuccinos at long last. Well Done!
Had the same problem, my product was magnetized. I flipped the wires. Worked like a charm. Thanks.
this totally worked. I was able to get the screws off with a flat head screwdriver. thanks!
amazing tutorial you have here! I manage to my aeroccino ad cannot thank you enough.
Thank you for the guide. Manage to fix mine as well. Had a hard time trying to separate the top section as it looks like it has glue around it. Now I can enjoy my aeroccino again
Very helpful. Worked for me, too, although nobody around me can explain technically ...
Amazing! Followed your instructions and it worked! Woohoo... Thank you!
Thanks for this great tutorial! I changed the black and red cable and know it runs again. 😋
Thanks mate. Such a great video. Repaired my aeroccino too
swapping the wires worked for me - Thank you
thanx. did it . works exactly as you described.
Fantastic, worked like a charm ... 5-10 minutes to get the job done. Thank you!
Thanks Bro. i followed your instructions to swap the wires and it works!! Help my colleague to save her machine! You from SG? Me too!
Awesome! It works. Thanks for the tutorial video.
Excelente explicación!!!! Lo reparamos 💪🏻💪🏻
This worked for me - cheers!!
My frother was blinking red a few seconds after I switch it on. I manage to fix it by dismantling it and switching the polarity of the motor wire (black and red) by just pulling out the connector and plugging it back the other way. You have to push the plastic tabs a bit so that you can plug it back the other way. I also push the white thermal grease back to the spot where it's supposed to be. Not sure which of these 2 fixes is the critical but it's easy to give them a try. Thanks to this video here showing me how to dismantle the frother but you've to get the special screwdriver head.
I'm so happy for your comment - that's exactly the issue I'm having! It's blinking and stopping right away, before the milk is frothed. Do ou mean you took out the cables and switched between them inside the white plastic thing? Or, you simply turn the white plastic over onto its other side?
how did you open it without the special screwdriver?
@@TELALITcellistandsinger just simply turn the connector the other way round. You'll need to get those special screwdriver to open it.
@@TELALITcellistandsinger just after you asked these questions, my milk frother can't work again. It can only spin for a few seconds and then it'll stop with red blinking lights. I've opened it up again to swap the connector many times but still doesn't work. Anyone else got other suggestion?
i have the same problem, if you have any suggestion pls let me know
Thanks man your solution works
Cheers mate great help 💪 the fuse had gon on mine!
Excellent video thanks, also in my case flashing LED, it was enough to reverse the polarity on the motor.
Hi, thanks for your great video to show how this aerocino can be dismantled to fix the whisk problem. If I need to add thermal grease, should it be high or low thermal conductivity? The motor didn't spin after checking it. Another youtube video showed that reversing the polarity wire helps, so I'm going to try but need to add thermal grease.
The other thing could be to change the thermal fuse.
Hey Peter, how are you? I just found this tutorial as I was having problems with mine. It seems the problem is also the thermal grease. Did you replace yours? Which one did you get and how did you apply it? If you do remember as I see your post is two years old. LOL Would you kindly be able to help me with that?
great instruction,works well, thx
THANK YOU VERY MUCH . IT WORKED. BLINKING RED LIGHT :SOLVED
Worked exactly as dwsceibed - purfect and wirh many thanks
The best! 👍🏽
😊 manythank for your VDO It already work
I’ve tried this. Couldn’t figure it out how to pull the black and red wires off. Where can I buy a new withe plastic thing where the wires are linked to? 😢
So the question is......if it stops spinning again....can you just repair it again by switching the wires a 2nd time? Or is this a one time deal? What exactly is breaking or going wrong to cause the magnetic whisk to no longer spin??
it would appear to be degradation of the magnetic strength in the motor spinning magnets or the rotor inside. If both were "proper" NdBFe magnets then they would last a lifetime but, to save cost cheaper magnets likely used which degrade as in reducing their field strength over time - so reversing the polarity gets a bit of comparative strength back but, not necessarily for that long - it all depends how hot it gets as the higher the temperature the less these types of magnets retain their field strength...
Great tutorial, the lights on mine work and it still heats up but the motor still doesn't spin! I probably need to replace the motor but where to get one? Thanks. Sean South Africa.
Thank you for the clear video. unfortunately it did not work on y maxhine. I also cannot find the thermal fuse like shown in many other video's. the motor is OK (checked) contacts are cleaned but still no luck...😞
thanks! can you explain how swapping the motor wires fixed it ? current sensing ?
Thanks grate information i fix my
The frother motor no longer spin. I swapped the black and red wires and now it works again.👍
Great! Can you also post how to repair Aeroccino 4? I used just three times after buying brand new one and the whisker doesn't work. But Nespresso doesn' t replace because it was bought from overseas. Please help me.
Hi Jack. On your video the red and black wires seem to still be in the same positions after you changed them? Can you confirm which side the red wire should be on before and after the change? i.e. the red wire should be facing the top of the machine or the bottom?
fixed mine! it just doesnt stop automatically but im fine with that!
Thank you! This fixed my milk-frother 😍
Mine simply doesn't turn on anymore. No red light. Possibly because it was left on the base for two weeks with the power on. I took it apart as you described (very helpful!) but no obvious issue. I tested the base connectors and power does arrive, but no signs of life. Any idea, or should I just trash it?
Any advice how to check the electrical current on the base?
Hi Jack, when you test the thermal switch while on the board is it close or open?
Guys. How can i gett off the magnet on the top to switch the engine? And how much volts have the engine? Thank u
Mine does not heat the milk. Do you have video a for repairing? Thanks
So, do you know why changing the polarity of the motor fixes the whisk?
Mine spins but doesn’t make froth anymore, just bubbly foam. I noticed that the whisk rattles around when spinning so I’m guessing it’s not spinning fast enough anymore. Nespresso suggested it’s the whisk’s magnets that are getting weak so they were going to send a new whisk. But they ended up sending a new aeroccino 3 so I’ll have to see if the new whisk from the new unit makes the old aeroccino work again once the package arrives. In that case, I’ll get myself a new whisk and should have a perfectly fine backup aeroccino 3...
i also wonder the same thing, but the above method solves the whisk not spinning
I'm so glad you took the time to post this comment two years ago. Mine was having the same problem which is why I started checking out youtube. It worked and was spinning but no frost, only warm milk!Although the video above didn't solve my problem, when I saw your comment I remembered advice on another forum said to give the unit a solid tap on the counter to realign the magnet. After seeing your comment it occurred to me to give the whisk attachment itself a whack too in case it's magnet wasn't aligned properly. I did, and it immediately stuck more tightly into the machine and frothed my milk as usual again!
@@tashagervais8733 thanks for sharing your experience. I’ll definitely try that if I see the issue again. Happy frothing!!
It would appear from the Physics to be a degradation of the magnetic strength in the motor spinning magnets or the rotor inside. Hello, please value the big resistance of the source.
Forgot to mention... the coffee machine itself is wonderful so far no problems is the Aeroccino milk frother
Thanks , I pull it out of eath other pull the switches in and out .
And back as new . Finkers cross
Hi, i succesfully reverse the polarity of the magnets and my whisker starts to spin again (previously motor dead, not spinning at all). But now it only spins for about 4-5 seconds and it stops with red light blinking. Can anyone point what i possibly have done wrong? Thank you.
I lost my aerochino power base, can't find spare pare replacement at the company , do you have any idea how to operate the aerochino without the power base?
Can anyone tell me the writing on the component on the mainboard, the "big" black component with 7 solder points near the big white component that says "Goodsky" - it burnt due to moisture, but seems to be the only affected component, but i cant find schematics on it :) Any help would be appreciated
Hello, mine's spinning erratically. Tends to spin for 4 or 5 seconds and stops. I did not catch which tool did you use for removing the two screws. It looks like the Allen kind of, but I doubt those fit the screws.🤔🤔
Before taking your frother apart, try changing your brand of milk. I thought my frother was broken, but when I bought milk from a different supermarket, it worked fine.
what type of milk? is it full cream or what? Thanks
That’s what nespresso will tell you, too. Doesn’t explain why it once worked perfectly fine with the same milk until it didn’t work anymore. Those frothers are pretty good a basically frothing any kind of milk. If your same brand of milk worked fine and then suddenly doesn’t froth anymore it’s probably the device. Could be the whisk itself.
my aerochino 3 doesnt work in hot mode but for the cold mode, it's working well. what do you think could be the problem?
Most of heating problem comes from relay. You can check "Song chuan 834-1A-B-C 9V" relay using voltage meter. I've changed with 9VDC relay other brand. It works well.
exactly same issue here, in cold mode works fine, hot mode stops spinning after a few seconds
reapplying the thermal grease made it click 😉
Hi can anyone help me how to fix my aeroccino will not heat up and it will blink red light after 10 -15 secs of turning it on...its still froth.. what thing to replace... ?? Hellppppp
Mine does not heat, any ideas?
my frother is spinning but not foaming,I have only used it about 6 times but daughter is visiting and I wanted to show her. C an I take it to where i buy the pods?
See my previous comment about milk freshness..
My aeroccino had no power going to it.the button was not lighting up and the frother was not spining.i watched this video while taking it apart.i then noticed that the wires in mine where the opposite way to yours.double black were on the bottom and black and red were on top.i swapped them round to suit yours and then changed around the red and black wire on completion and after re assemble i sat it on the nespresso machine switched on the power and the light came on then a bang and it shot in the air.need less to say its in the bin now and the safer option would be to just buy a new one if it stops working.
Sorry to hear that. It's very dangerous to swap wires around in appliances because most of time it's converting from AC to DC power. It shows perhaps how poor quality these were constructed inside and even having wire colours mixed up...
Mine is having the same problem ..
Want to know how long is the warranty for this Aeroccino Plus. My plus will start flash red light after around 3 seconds and it will stay that way. i want to ask how to repair it ?
Mine was exactly the same. Why this is happening is because the motor is not moving while the coil is heating up and it overheats. Try the video above just ensuring that the conducting grease is allowing the leads to touch so electricity can get to the motors - it worked for me and till now, my Aerochino still working
I have problems with the button. It does not responde very well to ge "hot milk", and as long as I press too much, I get the "cold mode". Can it be replace?
Veronica Gonzalez not sure. Have you tried taking the button out and putting it back again.
Hi i want asking, my husband already follow all the method but the blue light still not turn off sometimes it becomesblue and red colour blinking and suddenly appear a smoke from the suis, the motor not spining but the power supply come in.. i dont know what the problem.. I'm very sure my arreccino still can use back because i wash & clean properly after used.
first, unplug the cable for the motor, and see whether it can heat up
2nd, unplug the thermal and connect the motor and see what happen
last, put every cable back in order and clean the thermal sensor
hope it help
mine heats up and spins but, no froth
Check the freshness of the milk...if the unit is mechanically working...the problem is most likely with the freshness of the milk. I've had fresh from the store milk work great...then 4-5 days later the amount of froth goes down to almost nothing.
К сожалению финт с полярностью работает не всегда. Иногда приходится разбирать сам двигатель и зачищать токосъемный узел.
Anyone knows how to fix the silver one, I keep getting a red light blinking light
try clean the thermal sensor and test again, + follow what the video do - change the motor red + black -
@@henryzhang6489 tks you
Mine doesn't have the thermal cut-out just the red wire uninterrupted. Here is a clip. Any idea why it won't switch on? I did notice the little clear perspex receiver for the silicone on/off push button fixed to the circuit board is wobbly and no real positive click on or off.

The technicians over the phone knows less than us trying to make it work again and accommodate the public complaints. There advice's over the phone is ridiculous , from suggesting to buy a milk that will provide 17 % or grams?? of protein ( (probably buying a cow to get that much protein? or maybe try to use a milk not more than 2 days old once you get it in the super market (go figure that one ) 3rd advice was that this machine is designed to work on 35 degrees, if not to put cold water with some ice inside for a minute or so before using it. So I ask Nespresso USA What are you going to do with so many complaints about the same issues with your AEROCICNO NOT WARMING THE MILK ENOUGH OR MAKING ANY FROTH WHATSOEVER. My machine was bought directly through Nesspreso USA Inc It was my husbands gift for me for this Christmas 2016 it worked perfect until the end of Dec the Aeroccino I mean, but never used again until last week that I noticed it was not making any foam .. This was their answer to this problem today. Horrible service.
Mine heats the milk but will not create froth…
the motor is not spinning ?
@@henryzhang6489 it spins, heats the milk fine but no froth
@@starrypunk20 motor speed is fast enough ?
@@henryzhang6489 oh I guess I’m not sure if it’s spinning fast enough, would your method fix that if that’s the issue?
