    Just to add some information to this video but the very latest comfort seat for the Gen 2 MT10 2022> will also fit on the older Gen 1 model also so arguably there's a 4th variant too. I have one on my Gen 2, it looks more premium than the one in this video.. Here's the part number for the very latest version as of May 2023 but you'll do well to find one. B5Y-247C0-00-00 - Black

      It is a nicer seat as well. I have this newest seat for my 2023 MT10. Yet to try it as I'm still ok with the stock SP seat but thank you for confirming that this set will also install on gen 1 MT10 !!!
      This will for sure be helpful to many !
      Have a great season !

    If you are in the US, you can send your seat to Sargent, and they will refoam and recover it, making it a VERY comfortable seat.

      @@itsadyerthing I bought the comfort seat for the Tracer similarly for the FZ6 I use to own. But still not satisfied with Shad comfort seat for the Tracer. Hence I am considering modifying the factory seat using Luimoto Gold Gel... if I can find someone to assist that is.. LOL!

      Corbin have a nice shape but I have always found them to be very firm. I was actually very pleased with the Yamaha comfort seat for MT10, Not any other model though..it's Dyer approved hababba.
      As for the rear rack. That is a genuine Yamaha accessory..it works both on MT10 and MT09 ! It's held in place with 4 bolts super quick install and removal for when you don't want touring look. I did a upload for that actual products and how it is installed into the mt10.

    Any chance for an EU 3rd revision part number?

    • @itsadyerthing
      @itsadyerthing  4 года назад +1

      You should ask your dealer to try the part number same as Canada in their order system and see if it shows as available. What happens generally is they only display previous versions until stock is depleted and then supersed part number to new one which would be 3rd revision. Talk to your dealer and see if they can investigate. I can not tell you what is the change or if there is a big comfort change but from comparing two comfort seats between mt09 and mt10. The mt10 is so much better and yes worth the buy. I'm pleased with my purchase.
      Cheers

    Hello, I have a 2017 FZ10 and wanted to get the comfort seat with the FZ10 logo. Do you know if those have been revised as well and which part number for the FZ is the latest? I’m in the US btw. Thanks!!

    • @itsadyerthing
      @itsadyerthing  4 года назад +1

      Not that I know of, there has not been any revisions, but do i expect that to be any more comfortable, no. Im still hunting down what was the revision and is it related to the foam etc... right now I would say you will be equally pleased with the FZ10 embossed on too !

    Was thinking of doing this on the MT-07. corbin.com/yamaha/ymt0718gl.shtml Notice the post for the backrest comes out the back and probably hits the forward lip of the rack. Another guy got the Corbin seat with backrest and said it doesn't work with the rack even though Corbin says it does. Question: If you cut through the dip, in the center of the lip, in the front part of the rack, will the rack still have integrity to support a 10 kg pack of some sort, something you just throw on and tie down? Just a scientific wild ass guess is better than nothing. Is the rack metal or plastic? Don't want the 30-50L containers because they kind of look..., dorky..., bulky..., a giant turtle on the back of the bike..., whatever. Maybe if a set of washers or slightly longer bolts might lower the rack enough not to interfere with the backrest on the Corbin seat? What's your guess?

    • @itsadyerthing
      @itsadyerthing  4 года назад

      Hmm good questions. it is a cast metal not sure of its contents but how much cutting is required in order to keep it secure and functional. if anything or if it was i, i would literally slowly shave off enough just to clear it. but if Corbin states it work with Factory rear rack then ide be raising a stink with them !! Thats not cool ! how much of a mod would one have to do to the backrest mount plate for it to work with the rack, maybe wiser to do that than mod the rack ! problem is boat are a safety hazard if not done right, least thing you want is to lose cargo into someone else behind you as much as looking your passenger ! be safe and put a huge amount of thought into anything you mod regardless what is it. Do keep us posted on your outcome...
      Cheers

    im not sure why i am unable to respond to a comment or even view it through channel section on than a previews so this response goes to Ballmead as his questions was:
    Ballmead commented: "Seat looks great. Does it add much to the seat height? I'm fairly shorty and the stock seat is just ok."
    My answer to you is:
    The comfort seat did not seem to raise the seat height or widen it either, only big difference i found was the material plushness and that the passenger pillion portion was made much thicker so they would benefit for sure compared to stock seat.
    I had found the stock seat to be comfortable as it was, i did not see or feel any improvement or discomfort with the seat swapout. at the end of the day it all depends if you have a frequent passenger, if yes then its a good buy, in no then put that investment into other goods!
    Cheers and be safe
    Rob

      Sorry for the late reply. Thank you for your detailed reply. I agree with you, the stock seat is not super uncomfortable, however, I'd like a bit more comfort. It sounds like this seat might do the job.

    • @itsadyerthing
      @itsadyerthing  3 года назад +1

      @@Ballmead I'm sure you can make arrangements with your local yamaha dealership to at least install it and sit on it before having to commit to buying it. If they have any MT10 on display then there is no reason for them not to have on on the showroom floor for people potential customers to give it a try. Talk to them and see what can be done for you as a consumer.
      Cheers and take care.
