What's even crazier is that alienware showed off a handheld concept 4 years ago called the UFO with removable controllers and ended up cancelling the project I bet they're mad right now 😅.
Just got a steam deck OLED last week nd I’m loving it as my 1st PC experience. The claw is looking rough rn but has potential. I’m looking forward to seeing that Orange Pi Neo nd if it’s a real competitor to the steam deck
Congrats on the SD OLED! Yeah. The Claw feels like it's half-baked. I think in time it'll get there. I'm also super curious about the Orange Pi Neo. Can't wait to check it out.
It is great that there is a lot of competition in the market building up for the sake of us gamers. That said, I wasn't convinced due to the fact that this uses an Intel APU when it was announced and the more videos I see about the Claw, the less I want one. Also, I have no intention of getting into the hassles that come with a Windows gaming handheld at the moment. I was going to get a Legion Go, but I've now decided to stick with just my Deck as a second handheld is something I don't really need.
"True Gaming, 'cause every other gaming handheld I have does false gaming." Golden! 😂 Also, is it just me or the MSI overlay bears an uncanny resemblance to the one on ROG ally? Everything from the status icons to the functions and features, seem to be exactly the same! Would love to know your thoughts, Rudy.
If you're talking about the MSI Center, it's somewhat like it in design aesthetic, but the bare bones layout is a little different. But I'm purely talking about the UX. There are a lot of other ways that MSI took "inspiration" from ASUS and their ROG Ally. It's kinda crazy. 😅
I have a SD and Ally. SD grips sometimes feel to big, but I can comfortably other than reaching buttons as fast as I like. Ally much better reaching buttons but cramps my hands in about an hour. So the call does seem to strike a good balance. I also want to see what Linux be like on the claw as Intel tends to have very good open-source and open standard drivers.
Why do people keep saying windows is hard to set up? Its the same as any computer windows setup. login click next/skip a few times, maybe 5-10 minutes max, and wooooooooowwww logged in. seriously not that hard.
I’ve been waiting on your thoughts on this. I’ve made the decision to just wait for the next iteration of the Steam Deck that Valve is no doubt working on as we speak in some form. And you are absolutely right about the no-case situation, even my TB Stealth Ultra pc controller came with one.
That's probably a wise choice at this point. And I'm definitely excited to see where Valve decides to go with the Steam Deck. Heck yeah. I don't get why they wouldn't include a case at this point.
Hello! So i was just gifted my childhood consoles (the belonged to my mom and passed down) however, i dont have a lot of money and i have tried using some of the hdmi adapters. Retro tink mini isnt available and every other reliable converter is just so expensive. Could you help me find a budget option that isnt $300
What do you mean Rudy? The vents are clearly positioned horizontally and not verticallly like the Ally! 😂 Yeah, I wonder if Asus will play ball or want to sue down the road due to carbon copy design.
@bryanecek No. It's an ad-read. And it says that the battery "delivers a 100w charge to the Legion Go." The Legion Go comes with a 65w charger. I'm quite aware of that. If you can't listen to what's being said in the video and comprehend it, then I can't help you. 🤷♂️
I mean at this price point, MSI dont even bother to make a bigger screen without bezels, better buttons. This is just an overpriced piece of tech that should have been $399 for base model. It performs similar to steam deck cmon lol.
@@baldlyrudyBy showing a screenshot of someone stating they offered nearly the same performance? Or perhaps by not putting in any effort to do comparisons yourself and stating you can get good fps on the claw, your review is misleading and you were likely paid by MSI to promote their garbage.
@frostybe3r The screenshot was to compare the 135H to the 155H. And no, no one paid me. I bought the unit myself. Thanks for thinking that I was paid by MSI to make this video though. I doubt MSI, Intel, or any of those big companies know this channel exists. That's a heck of a compliment. Much appreciated. 🙌

MSI has made a PC gaming handheld. Now that only leaves Acer and Razer as the only companies that have yet to make one.
Surprised Alienware/Dell hasn't dropped into the handheld game properly by now
@jordansherwood7371 same. They tend to be the quickest to hop on something like this.
Too bad Razer didn't go through with their Steam Machines.
What's even crazier is that alienware showed off a handheld concept 4 years ago called the UFO with removable controllers and ended up cancelling the project I bet they're mad right now 😅.
Razor already made one like 2 years ago look up the razor edge
waiting for a $300 price drop then I may consider it
more like 400 price drop. XD
Same I’m waiting for it in australia

Same. I really think that a few driver updates and patches will get this up to par.

I was sent this video with the phrase "Grand scheme of things" being the drinking game. I now have alcohol poisoning.....great video though!
This is a great video.. awesome quality.. keep up.
That moment u said false gaming damn made me laugh alot 😂
MSI using the same sd card slot location as the Ally is ridiculous.. did they not hear about the whole melting SD card fiasco?!

i got the fallout limited edition, there is only 15 of these, if i were to sell this, how much will it fetch?

@dr.chungusphd108 that would be amazing! But then we have to worry about battery life. It's a weird balance between performance and battery.
@@dr.chungusphd108 u must be trying to spend atleast 1k minimum with those specs

I just saw this advertised in Australia for $1550 AUD ($1000 USD). I assumed it must be incredible, but seems it's just overpriced

Can you tell me out of the handhelds, which one can play all the steam and windows, and what one i can hook up to my T.v with ease to play
a complete disappointment, coming out a year after asus rog ally and giving half performance is a complete disaster. intel has screwed up badly.
Intel= garbage
You mean msi screwed themselves for choosing intel 😂 imagine the z1 extreme with this size of a battery sheesh

On a real note, I wonder if ASUS will sue. It's a pretty blatant copy.
Legion GO doenst need 100w to charge. 65w charger works.

Yeah. They're RGB.
