- In this video I review the National Tactical Officers Association (NTOA) SWAT Physical Fitness Qualification, or as they like to call it, the PFQ. It was featured in the Spring 2020 edition of their magazine, The Tactical Edge. I ran myself through the test twice in ten days and then break it down and talk about the pros and cons of the test.

I agree with what Johnny Tactical is for.
Thanks Dude, I appreciate that!
Holy shit! Thats nuts
Doing it cold was not my best move. But if you work up to it, it's actually not too bad. Still challenging, but not a killer
Minimum number? Burpees,air sguats,pull-ups
The NTOA has all the minimums and point system explained. I included all the links on the video description
But how many brupees pull ups squats in that time frame?
That I did or that are required?
@@johnny_tactical well both 😂
@@Hudson4426 If you look in the video description there are a couple of links there. The link to the PFQ test has all the requirements and the link to my full review posted on my blog has all of my numbers.
Seems excessively cardio focused.
It was tough, but again, I thought it was a good test overall.

Your criticism of using meters for runs shows you haven't ran on a track, or measured your runs on one, in a while. All running tracks are measured in meters, makes it more accurate. Saying "run 437.445 yards" is ridiculous, 400m is much easier and it's understood. Anyone involved in leading PT for the department or swat team would know what that is.
Point taken, but this is still America where we use the Imperial measurement system as the standard. My state requires a 1 1/2 mile run as part of our PT test to maintain our certification - miles, not meters. Just saying.
You're not even doing the whole test in battle rattle?
I'll be honest. If this is the most physically demanding PFT that officers do its no wonder so many cops are fat. This is not hard.
This should legitimately be the standard of fitness officers maintain at a MINIMUM!
Are you a police officer? Just curious
@@johnny_tactical negative. I'm a dirtbag. Used to be a fighter. Washed up nobody never was.
I train harder than this three days a week though.
Goodluck with your training and channel bud.
Few people train harder than a fighter, that's for sure. And I agree with you that law enforcement should have higher PT standards. Thanks for watching and commenting, I appreciate your perspective.
@@raphaelvermin yeah bruh you ain't a fighter😂
@@AngelRodriguez-nn7ng youre right. Im retired and im still in good enough shape that i laugh at this standard of fitness.
This isnt even a hard workout.
