yes! including the bloody water in the bathtub (or sink, not exactly sure b/c of the angle of the short scene). i’m pretty sure that this scene resembles beverly’s bloody bathroom scene from IT (Chapter 1, 2017) and the book.
The actress who plays the woman with Alzheimer’s was the original Carrie which is based on the Stephen king novel too. Is it a thing with this show that the actors have been in other Stephen king movies?
This is my favorite series along with The Haunting of Hill House. I'm rewatching now. Dialogue is amazing and the dread and tension that run throughout is exceptional
Creepy stuff, with a solid cast. I'll watch it again one day. The second season was not as good for me but still interesting. Too bad they stopped doing this show. So much material and characters to mine from. There's nobody like Stephen, is there.
I live in the town that much of this series was filmed. They filmed at the state hospital and grounds for months. That place was built in the mid 1800's and started as a home for the poor and insane. The place is massive and real things happened there over the years that make this series look like Sesame Street. The asylum building has cages with claw marks all over the walls and doors. Hundreds, maybe thousands of people were buried in the woods with only a tiny metal cross to mark their resting place. I was hiking in those woods several years ago and found dozens of them buried in the leaves and pine needles. I'm someone who has to see it to believe it, but many people who have been patients there, or work there, claim it is VERY haunted.
We have a working asylum in which the second half of the grounds, a former fort, was donated as a state park. Within that park, there is a graveyard with hundreds of people buried, with a number imprinted on a tiny stone marker. A few years back, a group started working on placing real tombstones with the patient's info on it. It's an amazing thing and my kids really appreciated seeing what they've been doing and seeing who was buried there. It's too bad more areas don't do this!
I dont know why people think asylum is a creepy place to be just because they are out of our norm. But they are more likely a victim than a criminal. Every place has a history of its own. We never know whats haunted or not. Its just us who made stories to believe whats vague behind the past.

A King show with Sissy Spasik who played Carrie, Tim Robbins who played Andy Dufrein in Shawshank Redemption, Bill Skarsgard played Pennywise, and Thomas Newman as the Musical composer yet again. My favorite Newman song is Foolishment from The Green Mile.
