[Music] Okami - Reset ~ ("Thank You" Version)
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 20 янв 2009
- Amaterasu needs strength...she can't beat Yami at her current state! Issun thankfully builds up faith in the people of Nippon, and they pray for Amaterasu to give her strength in her time of need.
Copyrights to Okami belong to former Clover, ReadyatDawn Studios (for Wii port), and ultimately Capcom.
i cried when ammy imagined issun on her head like he normally would be, and imagined him telling her to give off a victory howl, then she realized he wasn’t really there...that hurt 😭
This cutscene touched me more than any other scene in a game up to date. It made me realize that every little friend I made throughout the game was not for naught. Even in the hopeless trial that was presented before Ammy, her long companionship with Issun paid off when he encouraged Ammy in her time of need and even gave her newfound strength by gathering the faith of all those they met in their journey. Even when separated, Issun and Ammy's friends supported her until the very end.
As this was one of Clover Studio's last games, they sure went out with a bang!
Clover isn't gone. They became Platinum and have continued to make more games
@@thearcanestar Not entirely true. There are a lot of ex Clover employees at Platinum Games but they are not the exakt same people.
Tis better to have died while creating a masterpiece without care for the financial comeback than lived while being just serviceable to a majority. A game that sold poorly yet got a 9 will have a legacy everyone will remember, the games that sold more but scored a 6 will be forgotten. That lesson clover knew and chose not to go down the Nintendo path.
The world needs more games like Okami
Or more Okami games!
Yeah, games made with passion and a purpose. Not those live service, money grab games :/
Only game that was almost like Okami was RDR2 but has a sad ending instead of a happy one that made everyone sad after Arthur died I even teared up too RDR2 is just as good as okami in a different way
If they would try too hard tho it wont turn out good probably
@@okamiamaterasu535 yeah like cyberpunk it's good with graphics but not good with gameplay
"I'm not going to cry."
"I'm not going to cry....."
"I'm not going to cry..........."
"I-I'm n-not going to c-cry.......""
*Begins weeping like a child.*
Every damn time! ;-;
Me too with Ammy leaving for the Ark of Yamato, I bawled my eyes out lmao
Okami has some of the best music from any game that I've ever played. It's a shame that it didn't get the same level of popularity in the States as some other Japanese imports.
Nobody cares about USA anymore. But otherwise, you are right, the music is indredibly.
@@SCDJMU Wat
i know half of these comments are probably super old but i just wanna say okami is one of those games you never want to end and you just wanna keep having an amazing adventure with issun, but i can say okami is and will always be my favorite game.
Stay strong, none of the comments posted on this video shall never get old, we write for the Posterity
I just wasnt prepared to end it all in the Ark of Yamato
‘played it for the first time in 2020’ gang
@@peach6648 2020 gang! 🙋🏽♀️ Watched a playthrough back in 2016, then played it myself on the switch 4 years later.
@@peach6648 2020 gang! This year has lot of sad things behind and In the future, but every time I listen this and other Okami songs I found hope for the future
Spoiler!!!!
That moment in the last fight...When Ammy hears the voices of all the people she met on her journey. And when they start to believe in Shiranui again.
It's the point I always break into tears. Gives me so much goosebumps. TwT
I find it so heart warming that the whole time.......the narrator was the little poncle with us throughout our journey.
I couldn't hold back the tears at that moment.
All those people you helped one way or another...Now is their turn to give you strenght.
@@kyusukui2460 bro this game was my whole childhood, I think I also gave amaterasu strength because she also helped me in a way or another, by giving me good memories.
Cheer up everybody, these are nothing but tears of happiness.
Now, let's join our hands. Prayer is power. Power is prayer. For it comes from our hearts. And if you believe it hard enough, then the sun will rise and shine, once again.
And we shall.
For Ammy!
KingBudderYoshi
all hail Amaterasu the goddess of Sun
To the light my people
Cynderfan35 Prayers lead the way, for our beloved Sun Goddess to rise again!
Ammy, we grew to love you, to see you battered and beaten it brings tears to our eyes. Then to see Issun who had abandoned Amaterasu because he had what he wanted, come to his friends rescue like that... Good show Issun, good show. Sunrise, come forth!
I love so much how Issun couldn't truly leave Ammy's side. :D Like, nah, lemme keep your memory around by showing the world just how amazing you are through ART!
"I hope you didn't fall asleep up there, furball..."
I cried.
Just this moment when you hear Issun's touching speech and see everyone praying it's just like "OMG Itouched THIS many people's lives and ALL these people care for Amaterasu (me)" it makes my cry every time I get this far in the game
That climax at 3:40 hits me hard every time.
Same here my friend
not alone
Makes me cry every time and also makes me see how awful the world is today, and that makes me cry even more. What a cycle of crying...
Such a beautiful and heart touching song. I absolutely love it.
Same ;_;
+Medical.Force You should know, how it is for me, i kinda just finished this game the first time, like a few hours ago.
"When one tries to master something, it ends in either success or failure. But it is in the attempt itself where you find the true value." ---Oki. This part is just so so touching and tear-inducing!
I know im 11 years in the future, but this quote goes through my head everytime i get ready for the bench press
me: no ammy no! don't lose your powers! *sniff, sob*
dad: haven't you finished this game three times already?
Me: BUT THE ENDING! THE ENDINNNNGGGGGG...
Spoiler!!!! Damnit why! i haven't even half through the damn game yet jessus!
Koshiwa Hinoshawa Don't go snooping on RUclips if you don't want to get spoiled. It wasn't even that bad of a reveal.
Spoiler? Hold on a minute why did you look up a song that's at the end of the game your going to get spoiled!
+Northern Lights Luck is with me, because until i found the name of the soundtrack in the extras within the game, i couldn't know about this, so i couldn't spoil me.
First game in a while where I actually cried when seeing everyone pray for Ammy thanks to Issun.
Amazing game with some of the best music ever made.
i cried at that point of the story. Seriously now. so emotional. and i am at my 30's
Me too. It was a huge tear-jerker, hadn't been that emotionally invested in a game for a long time.
One of only 4 scenes in gaming that has ever made me cry.
1: This scene.
2: When Lucina tries to kill your avatar (Fire Emblem: Awakening)
3. The sacrifice ending (Fire Emblem: Awakening)
4. Kurow's Death (Okamiden)
Evan Czarkowski Dont play Mother 3 than.
Evan Czarkowski Kurow's death was so heartbreaking wasn't it? I swear I was so upset Kurow was my favorite partner!
I want this song to be played at my funeral.
Who doesn't?
Its so nice and peaceful who wouldn't want this playing? ^-^
Same here man, this is too good
We are all cheering for you Ammy ='D
I beat the game in June, and it was really sweet to see all the characters cheer on Ammy.
I once used this track for the ending of a three year long D&D campaign. Four players, all Superheroed up and imbued with additional power. They encountered the final boss, who at the moment of it's resurrection ripped it all away from them, it having been the source of their power from the beginning.
Their mentor appears to them as time freezes, as he starts to berate them teasingly, and then tells them they don't need that power now, because they cultivated something much greater all the way along.
I watched tears roll as I described -EVERYONE- they helped calling out to them to succeed, I got roars of triumph out of the Fighter, I saw the resolution on the Monk and the Wizard, not because it was just a game, but because they had done great things. And at that climax point (2:47) the mentor appealed to them "Only thing standing between you guys and them is That Fuckin Thing.. Ask yourselves right now. WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ABOUT IT!?"
I have never had emotions surge around my table quite like that before, and it added to the greatest conclusion to my DMing I've had in almost 10 years at that point.
Thank you Clover, for giving me the greatest tools I never knew I needed.
April 20, 2006. I will never, EVER forget that day.
Never.
No matter how many times you hear this song over and over again, it never gets old. It has that power to move you forward. Ammy and Issun for life!
Can someone in Japan make an anime of this? Same art style, every character would have voice-over except for Amaterasu
I'm actually gonna try and get Capcom to give me the rights and make this happen!
+Bender B. Rodriguez I feel you bro
+Plot Twist Sounds like a Good Idea.
+Plot Twist That would be awesome!!!
Nah, I think we should get a dog to voice her barks. The barks were an integral part of the game.
This game. This game. I played this back when I was about 13 for the first time. I was mostly pushed by Chugga to play this game, and I enjoyed it the first time. But i never really came back to it. Not until 2019. I sat down, got the hd version, and it felt like I played it for the first time all over again, but with light spoilers instead of the whole game fresh in my mind. And surprisingly, I got all the collectibles off of just my memory. And this climactic final boss got me. I was in tears by the end of it. This recemented this game as one of my top 3 games of all time, easily.
Me too! I watched his Let's play on this game, and I've listened to the music for years and years. I finally got this game a few weeks ago, and I'm really having a blast! Even just running around doing side quests is fun. It was so surreal to hear Cherry Blossom Storm while I was in Kamiki after listening to it for so many years to fall asleep or while in the car or just background noise. Such a fantastic game.
I really like how this song starts off as a simple flute-harp combination, gradually swells to a full orchestral score, then goes back to the flute and harp.
Brings back so much memories. My BF and I took turns playing until the very end. This song gave us goosebumps, fuzzy feelings and made us cry. I’ll never forget.
This was the first and the only game that makes me cry. This song helped it a lot... No doubt Okami was... no... IS one of the best game ever exist or will exist... I'm listening the song while I write and I can't hold my tears... Thank you Clover studios... Thank you!!
I can't help but wonder: is there a Reset ~ ("Screw You" Version)?
+Ezio Auditore Capcom to Clover Studio.
Lmao
stop making me laugh while i’m crying
I never understood the title on this particular song
@@gormauslander thank you is referring to the npcs thanking Amaterasu for fighting the darkness
When i read it first i thought it was a special version the devs used to thank the player
I can't stop cry like a child when I hear this music.....
This is the best song in the game in my mind
not just in your mind :D
2nd best for me. The Sun Rises beats it out in my opinion, but then again, The Sun Rises beats everything.
Shadow Dragon Comms. i now listened to it again, yes great song :) but for me the thank u version of reset still ist the best because of the great bossfight :)
*****
omg i really was searching for the song "everything else" now^^
My favs. I don't know what there called but. This one. (Idk if this is the song that Issun leaves you, but if it isn't then that ne is my fav. If this one is, then this one is my favorite.) And then ALL DE OTHERS
10 people were crying so hard they missed the like button...
Also, ten people have liked your comment...
👌😂
Finished the game today. Cried my own weight in tears, and loved every second of it. And this song is one of the greatest responsibles for me bawling :'D
10 years later this is the first game I ever played when I was 5-6 with my dad. I’ve now beaten this game over 20 times I have it on the wii ps2, ps3, and ps4. Every time I finish this game it makes me cry because it reminds me of my whole life.
The Graphical approach of Okami is just as perfected as it's soundtrack and playability as well as its incredibly well-written story.
In my opinion Okami is one of the most breathtaking game-experiences there is as of today. Maybe this will change in the future, but few games thus far have set the standards as high as Okami. I have played through it several times, but am still driven to tears by some of its scenes. This song is one of its masterpieces, which says a lot!
This brings back so many memories I had to cry because of the sene this reminds me of
+Erin Gaughens And i only just beat the game. The effect of this scene and this soundtrack is way more current for me.
this song get's you by the heart really....
This song is truly moving and fits the seen it's set with perfectly. Uniting with the people of Nippon, the light cannot die as long as there is still one strong person who believes in it! Fight on, Ammy!
This made me throw DOWN my controller and take a moment to stop crying. And it's my second time BEATING the game! I literally threw the controller down and just....I had to stop crying. I knew that this was the best game I've played. I like to think that the reason why it's called, "Reset Thank You" is because before Clover Studios had shut down, they wanted to thank the people for playing their games. :') Thank you, Clover Studios.
Okami, this game touches my heart.
I knew about Okami because of Marvel vs Capcom, where Amaterasu was my favorite character just because she was a wolf.
Even if I knew about the existence of the game, I never played it.
Until Okami HD released. I bought it for Xbox One. And I tought I was ready.
I tought Okami would be like another game like Zelda, Pokémon (and I really like those games, really) in terms of experience and fun.
God... I wasn't even close.
I have played a lot of games, and I have enjoyed most of them. But Okami... Okami is really different.
I wouldn't know if I can say that Okami if my favorite videogame, but... Damn. I really loved it.
The characters, the story, the gameplay, the japanese ukiyo e and acuarela style, the music... God.
I just finished the game. I really cried a at this part. Because of all the memories of the game. Because of the memories of those evening where I was playing Marvel vs Capcom with my brother. Because I finally played one of the best games in all history.
Almost 15 years later and here i am, looking like an idiot for not playing this masterpiece sooner. I’ve played some good games but this just tops all of them, the ending felt like being hit by a train. This game is now my favorite game of all time. That says a lot for a 14 year old game, i miss clover but I’m glad they became platinum, i wish they would make another game with the story, structure and impact of okami but the classic platinum action. This game and studio has changed me
To all those I have met, have yet to meet, or didn’t make it. To those I am friends with, and to my enemies. To those who made me who I am, and those I’d rather forget. To all my heartbreaks, to my love, to my family, and to everyone else. Thank you.
Why is it that whenever I listen to this song, my eyes water? And I have never even played the game.
+Khoi Nguyen Literally *EVERY* piece of music from Okami will make you cry without even playing the game. Like these for example:
1. Sorrowful Goodbye
2. Kaguya's Departure
3. Kamiki's Sorrowful Tradition
4. Cursed Shinshu Field
5. The Celestials
Have fun crying :,3
This is an incredible piece of music and this is why I HATE the gaming industry they focus to much on mindless soulless FPS games and not enough like true works of art like Okami and its sad really to see that okami doesn't get the attention it deserves and this is why Okami is my FAVOURITE GAME EVER
I feel you. The world needs more games like Okami. It's games like this that have made me who I am today. If you want a similar game, check out Xenoblade Chronicles. It's one of those rare games that really sticks with you throughout life. Just like Okami
@@matthewmoody4759 Chuggaaconroy would agree
@@benjaminswartley1803 Where do you think I found both of these games? Chuggaconroy has introduced me to so many games
This song always gives me goosebumps! My favorite in this absolutely amazing soundtrack.
every time this sneaks its way into my recommended playlists I cry
this song is just so good It makes you cry with a smile
This made me cry so hard. I love this game so much.
A tear-jerking song...
A truly great song...
A song of happiness...
This song is all of these. Truly poetic.
I shivered when I listen to this song.

(Why am I'm crying?)
Each of Orochi's heads and Ninetails disliked. >_>
actually, i think it was just the imps. (cause... i like Orochi... and NineTails...)
Sylphy Sylph FRACKING YAMi!!
How did Yami dislike

Okay now I understand
Not once but twice, Haters gonna hate
i swear there are some parts in this game that made me cry
like when issun leaves okami
and then there are parts that are uplifting
i love this game!
:3
I remember not leaving the Kamiki Festival for 8 days because I didn't want the happiness and partying to go away... Damn it, Yami.
this song has a hopeful sound! i love it thank you for posting this!
If this doesn't play at my funeral I'm not dying
Thank you, now I have the option to cry whenever I want randomly Q_Q.
this song always paint the same picture for me. a warrior who is in the edge of defeat but the hears voices both living and deceased which give him strength and help make his dream a reality
Most of the times I died in the yami boss fight was because I couldn't stop crying from the part where issun gets everyone together to pray
Used Okami as a paper topic. Thanks for the 'A' Okami!
This just proves that music can sing without words.
I’m coming back to remember this beautiful soundtrack as I await for the sequel. Imagine how epic the new soundtrack will be!!!
This is by far, the most beautiful song in this entire game. When I played it, I legit cried.
3:41 No joke, when I hear this, no matter how many times I have listened to this amazing song, I come to the brink of tears, so much emotion.
Played this game with my niece whenever we would pick her up from school. Finally finished it today and, still, even 12 years later, this scene still makes me tear up.
Though, it didn't help that I was reading out loud the text to her.
Still my favorite game of all time.
I spent so much time talking to people and doing little side quests for them and it made this scene hit so hard 🥺
Man I love this...
AAAAAAGH~!!!! THE FEELS!!! So awesome how Issun helped spread the word about Amaterasu's contributions and everyone started praying and believing in her, thus giving her tremendous power! I love this game so much!
I've got this game for my birthday this year and I finished today. This game is an authentic experience, very beautiful in a lot of senses
Beautiful
God I LOVE THIS GAME, the essence of the traditional Japan, the mistery, the majesty, and of course THE INCREDIBLE SOUNDTRACK! :D
God the music
I'm gonna go play it again tmr
I can't even ;-;

Thank you clover studios for going all out on the masterpiece of a game
It's been years and this song still makes me cry
This is beautiful !!! I love it!!! Thank you for the beautiful song!! I'm crazy about this games!!
Ah...... I have a cold right now, so I was feeling pretty down. But this cheered me up! This is a absolutely beautiful song!
This song really makes me feel better and it's really beautiful.
I'm not crying. It's just Issun drawing some rain.
thanky for this so much more than a *thank you* piece of music! it gives courage too :)
i love this song so so so much ! i...it makes me cry every time
So beautiful...
Just beautiful...
What makes this music so powerful is the slow evolution of the mood, starting with vibes of sadness and despair to end with a feeling of strength and hope. Truly an underrated game.
I want this as my ringtone now... So beautiful! I can't until my game arrives soon! Watching an lp is one thing... but playing is another... I can't wait!
+Bridget Adams I know, as I'm tpying this here, it's still a few hours back, since i finished it the first time.
everybody's comments here are from like 7-4 years ago while im just chillin here in 2020 listening to this and trying not to cry
This song is beautiful!
AMAZING!!!
So amazing TT-TT
on my first time playing through the game, when i came to the part they played this, the music was so fitting, the soft background of reset and the amazing things done by Issun was just too much, i nearly cried
I bawled during this scene. And not afraid to admit it.
that's so sweet!
my mom and brother just came home one day and were like "look what we got." i had been talking about it a lot at the time, also i constantly watched reviews and such online. i stayed up all night playing it :D
That reminds me of when my parents got Ōkami for me. I had shown a huge interest in it, as it seemed to be right up my alley(which it was). I had heard great things about the game. And then one night when my mom picked me up from my dad's house, she said she had gotten something for me, and low and behold, it was Ōkami HD. I smiled almost all the way back home(At one point I had to stop smiling bc my cheeks were hurting). And I started playing it the next day.
I already had super high expectations for the game, and it still exceeded them.
Now here I am, about 5 months later, on my third playthrough and unable to stfu about it.
A pure masterpiece
So Sad I want to cry :')
dang, i feel sorry for you. i'm on my way to beating it twice- and i still love it madly. its one of those games i'll beat over and over again.
My bf just started playing Okami (I gave it to him for christmas) and I told him about how this kinda starts out as just a simple flute/string piece but then it builds into an orchestra and he said that kinda related to the game and how you started off really weak but over time you got stronger and then you're an absolute BEAST!
I...I love this so much...
this game is truly special.
I'M CRYING JUST LISTENING TO THIS PLEASE MAKE THE TEARS STOP
Listened through the whole playlist. Homework was made bearable :)
Great game with by far the best storyline. I played a lot of deep games but this remains #1
Invigorating. What I wanna know is who in the right mind would dislike something like this? Unheard of.
Listening to this is an awesome way to get rid of stress.
