The music, the drama, the blood, sweat and tears. I can fully appreciate the people who fiberglass for a living. VERY labor intensive. Nice job Kurt... cue the music again.. another layer... here we go... well next Spring anyways.
You're doing an amazing job, my friend. You make this 78 year old fart wish I was still capable of doing projects such as that. I've enjoyed The Hoover Boys channel for years, and now this one has been added. God Bless you and your family, as well as Bob, Brad, Billy, Muck, and Leo. (Hope I didn't miss anyone). Stay safe and healthy.
As satisfying it is for you to get this done. It’s just as satisfying for me to watch you getting it done. I’m really enjoying watching you go through the processes of refurbishing your bay liner. And when you first take her out, we will be right there with you hopefully, enjoying a task well done. Your bay liner will have the largest crowd on board, if not physically, in the world. Looking forward to the next episode ( oops, no Indians here ).
Really enjoy the transformation of the boat. Love your attention to detail. Your time lapse music score reminded me of the one you used on the England trip.
look at you kurt lol mr boat builderman extraordinaire :) .nice job ,nothing better than doing it yourself ,then you know its been done right ,better than right :)
Great job Kurt! This was a huge build that you took on! Fiberglass is looking great, your attention to detail is really showing now. Great idea to rout the edges of the seat boxes. Keep up the great work,I look forward to seeing more! Be safe and God Bless!
Hey Kurt. I had no idea you had made a video series of the Bayliner restoration. Excellent job on the deck !! You put in the research and good materials. This is the last video I saw on the boat, if you have more please let me know. Congrats on a great job ! I really hope to see what you will cover the deck with. I used a non skip boat paint to save money. Could not Gel coat in my my driveway. Good luck on this project. You are a very busy guy. LOL John
Great job Kurt. Glad i got over my boating desires long ago. to much work keeping them up. like the old saying goes. BOAT stands for Bust Out And Thou$and and I'm done with all that. but i enjoy watching you work on your second career!! Take care and God Bless...
I only use epoxy, just never had a reason to use poly. I am jealous of how easy poly looks like it wets out 1708 compared to using epoxy and having to work it in manually. Does that also bother you? A lot of times I end up adding too much because it looks like it's not soaking in and then I end up with excess cured resin kind of like you had when you said it looks "slippery".
Have you decided on what you're going to put down over the plywood? I'm about to undertake a floor replacement and don't want to put carpet back down either.
If that was bare wood, weren’t you supposed to saturate it with resin before applying the 1708? Otherwise the resin would be pulled out of the fiberglass and the bond to the wood wouldn’t be strong.

It's been a crazy project. Can't wait to "finish"

I thought I recognized you from the hoover boys. Great job with the boat.
Haha! Thanks
Awesome work man!! It's alot, but gonna be worth it!! Get a good coat of fish slime and it'll be a salty sea dog! 🤘
That's now the best built Bayliner ever made!!! Lmao great job on the rehab...
Hahaha Thanks! I wouldn't doubt it
When the floor is removed and there is acces to the hull. Did you do any test for leaks that may be coming from the hull?
Haven’t seen any of the boys helping! So don’t bring them when you come to Panamá 🇵🇦 so we can do some fishing !
Haha! I rarely ask anyone for help. Don't like incoveniencing anyone
@@MentalHealthDay82 that’s what friends are for!
Not sure if you mentioned in the video but. How many gallons of resin did you need in total??
Should have brought in Xyla 'Botal Toat' Foxlin to help you out!
Great job! Was that a Forest Gump reference? Lol
Good catch. Yes it was
Hey bud! You got another boat restoration video in the works?
I haven't started back at it yet this year. I need to

I don't know any better. My first time
Have you decided on what you're going to put down over the plywood? I'm about to undertake a floor replacement and don't want to put carpet back down either.
I'm going with a tread paint
How much epoxy resin and 1708 did it take to complete the job?
I wish I was paying attention to that. A gallon or two
@@MentalHealthDay82 ok thanks
You know of course that you'll have to take a Urulogist with you in 2 foot seas in a boat that size
My back hurts now
Haha! True that

Yes, I did Saturate the wood before Laying down the 1708

K., Your Amazon link is FUBAR.
No good?
@@MentalHealthDay82 No good.
Why don't you add the color to your resin? Why easier than painting and lasts longer too.
Never seen that done on a boat
@@MentalHealthDay82 That's what your color is on the outside of the boat!
Video Game Boss Music
Epoxy would have been easier and longer lasting.👎
