@xavier13311, THANK YOU! It's like those ridiculous "justin beiber" comments on youtube. The kid is a singer who made it by singing pop songs that appealed to the certain demographic. JRA, AJ Rafael, David Choi, Kina Grannis, Cathy Nguyen; all soulful, beautiful singers. Singers who I wouldn't want to get lost into the dichotomy of what's good for the heart vs. what society wants you to conform to.
Don't know where to begin. Jess started singing and I thought WOW what a beautiful unique special voice. Thought to myself I hope the guy is decent. And then AJ began to sang and I thought - hey, he's good too. Such beautiful low tones!! and incredibly perfect sweet harmony!! And then I started listening to the piano too and was blown away by all the talent. I have subscribed so I can hear more of what you do. Wish you much success!!!
@fighter1pilot I don't mean to be rude but No, the original is by Postal Service, it was written by the singer Ben Gibbard and the music producer Jimmy Tamborello, it seriously pisses me off when people ignore the (AMAZING) original version and guve Iron & Wine all the credit

RUclips is really democratizing music, in the sense that it's showing how much actual talent there is out there. The music industry presents a very small subset of the world's talent for efficiency reasons, and if you just rely on them for your music, you get a pretty distorted view of how music and art works. Listen people, you need to stop telling youtube stars to try out for american idol. Did nobody see what happened to Andrew Garcia? He is, by far, one of the best singers i've ever heard. But it comes to a point where if you don't conform to the expectations of the show, which is playing shitty pop music, then you don't continue, so they are forced to change. It's just no good.

Just to set this straight, The Postal Service originally wrote this song, Iron & Wine, the great band that they are, recognized the beauty in this song and covered it. Common mistake because both are so great the either could be the original.

The original song was made by The Postal Service ,but Iron and Wine covered this song in an acoustic version so they get credit for the acoustic version
