Jalen Hurts has regressed, so when Deniz or Bo talk about Saquon’s MVP value, that’s an important point to consider. The Eagles’ offense may have ranked the same without Saquon in previous years, but this year, they’d be completely screwed without him.
They had him on preseason and he was talking about new coordinators being a reason his model was down on the Eagles. Made no sense because they already had new coordinators last year, any adjustment period should have been baked into last years numbers.
Classic quant guy thinking statistics are causative not illustrative and trying to min-max as a result. It's clear to anyone watching that this offense is not as potent as the 2022 one absent Saquon Barkley. Our passing game is now anemic and Jalen is not playing at the same level. Saquon absolutely DOES matter.
