Thank you so much for posting this video. I've been dealing with plantar fasciitis on and off for last 10 years of kendo, and just recently, I've experienced the worst of it after helping my mom move to a new place. Your other video on tennis elbow convinced me to buy Flexbar, and that was practically a godsend, and I look forward to trying out your advice on this as well. Thank you for these videos for the kendo community!

    Hello Paul,
Thank you for helping the kendo and iaido community with your instructive videos.
Regarding Plantar Fasciitis, my personal experience was that the night splint helped at alleviating pain and discomfort while preventing the overextension of the foot.
Without the night splint my foot would overextend and then both, calf and plantar fasciitis would produce almost unbearable pain.
What worked best for me, in addition to stretching, was: frequently rolling my foot on a frozen water bottle, and wearing a night splint.

That's great. General rule of thumb -- do what works for you. No two people will be the same.
