Success stories from the SDG Impact Accelerator Programme - Bhalo Social Enterprise

Producing and selling food are a struggle for farmers in Bangladesh since they have limited access to flexible finances, quality agricultural inputs such as seeds, nutrition and chemicals and know-how.
UNDP Türkiye launched the Sustainable Development Goals Impact Accelerator Programme (SDGia) focusing on such challenges in the Least Developed Countries and worked with startups from around the world. Bhalo has been one of the successful startups for implementation in Bangladesh. Bhalo Social Enterprise is a Bangladesh-based online marketplace that offers access to high-quality inputs for small farmers. The company responds to various farming needs such as advisory, low-cost credit, high-quality farm inputs and insurance facilities.
SDGia Programme was run by the UNDP Türkiye, Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and UN Technology Bank partnership, with funding from the Turkish Government.
