Europeans have it so much better than Americans when it comes to how smoking is perceived. In Italy I can buy a pack of smokes no questions asked, I don't even have to show ID. Then I can light one up in the street and people won't stare at me like I'm some kind of pariah. In the states, gas station clerks heckle me about how smoking is bad, and then tell me I don't look my age or that I shouldn't be smoking. When I go smoke in public, I feel like people are staring at me and judging me for being a bad person or something. But hey, at least obesity is normalized.
It seems like cigarettes aren't very popular in the US anymore, would you say that's true?
@@SeethingSimp they aren't in the highly populated areas. All over the rural areas I've seen tons of smokers.

@@SeethingSimp They aren't as popular as they used to be but still very popular. When you walk around you see a lot less, its basically never allowed inside so it has been reduced but every single gas station and convenience store has the wall behind the register covered in different cigarettes/swishers because people definitely love to smoke. IMO the attitude against them is half real but half marketing by anti-smoking groups.

im 27, smoked for about 7 years, and im so glad i quit 10 months ago. i definitely did not expect to quit anytime soon, but one night i had a panic attack from my heart rate going up out of nowhere after smoking. and since then i havent touched weed or tobacco. all it takes is a health scare to completely set you straight. otherwise, the addiction far outweighs any logical reason there might be to quit. but I definitely agree that leaving a hateful comment wont do any good and anyone who does so should be ignored 100% and not given any attention

I really can't understand those people that can't help judging the others. First, they don't have all the required elements to do a fair judgement. Second, the judged actions don't usually bother them at all. Connie, don't get bothered at all by those people (I swear you don't). You have a totally sensible speech, and your smoking habit is just your cup of tea (and, btw, you look really attractive when smoking :) )

I can possibly see some people may think that because it is a channel about smoking cigarettes that it may be a bad influence on youth. Only speaking from the aspect that you look young and that gives no right for people to just be impulsively hateful because they have the shield of the internet.
I actually think the simplicity of focusing on one thing is actually smart for the channel. And really this is not just about smoking cigarettes but sitting here and sharing an experience with Connie.

It’s not the cigarettes that attract people. It’s your personality and what you say.
In my experience, I haven't gotten into any substance addictions, but drug abuse on the other hand... kinda questionable. I'm the type to go big, or nothing at all, but still be able to completely forget about weed and alcohol for long periods of time.
I may not want to do them either. I don't use nicotine and caffeine often at all, but no matter what I'm doing, I genuinely enjoy both states of mind; sober and being intoxicated.
The only thing I'm 100% addicted to is porn unfortunately. That's the only thing I don't forget about. I think people judge way more on a porn addict than any other type because supposedly it's strange and disgusting for people to want sex.🤷 It's not good to have a porn addiction, but it's hardwired into us to procreate. Nearly every drug is by introduction, could be taken away, and has medications to treat symptoms. Is there an option for porn addicts to lower arousal or something?
