The last time I replayed it, X6 didn't seem bad to me at all. It's lower budget and thrown together, but still pretty well made, all things considered. The main thing is just to recognize that weapons were changed so that players are expected to charge them up first. Like: if you don't charge nearly every shot, they'll be almost worthless. Charge them up first (and use the right weapons for the right things) and they'll clean house. Donuts of doom? Not with a charged shot of Metal Anchor they're not. Yeah, you also have to pick the right armor for some of the stages to avoid getting soft-locked by certain questionable level designs, but those are minor hiccups.
this song always made me think of the final count down! But this stage sucked balls, it was annoying as shit, then again so many stages in that game were annoying af.
