Thanks. They were some basic plastic plants you can find at the fish store or online lol. I think they were meant for breeding, giving fry somewhere to hide.
@THEnelsonbruhs the light fixture I used is the Elive track lighting but I’m not sure if they’re in production anymore. You could probably go with something decent from Home Depot or use any other track lighting fixture
They are actually fake plastic plants with brown algae grown on them, makes them look natural haha. I'm using normal play sand. 50lb bag for about 8 bucks from home depot
+Sean Tolentino I've seen people do planted tank with trophus, and didn't know the play sand would that clean, I've used one bag my self and did another bag on the cichlids live sand stuff from a previous tank, I'm selling all my fishes to start a tropheus other than that your aquarium looks allot like mine haha

Yeah I've seen planted setups done for Tropheus in person but IMO I like to keep it natural with plenty of rocks and sand to mimic their habitat. I used 100% play sand for this tank and it has worked wonders plus saved me money as well. Other than that good luck with your Tropheus tank!

Thank you, yes they are LEDs. They're called Elive LED Pods and with the right combination could grow low to medium light plants.
