Thanks. They were some basic plastic plants you can find at the fish store or online lol. I think they were meant for breeding, giving fry somewhere to hide.

Thank you, yes they are LEDs. They're called Elive LED Pods and with the right combination could grow low to medium light plants.

I've only had two successful batches of fry so far, each being 15+. The first batch I've already sold and the second batch I am currently growing out right now!

Sean Tolentino Honestly I am interested, I'm not really sure how we would work that out but it couldn't be too hard. I guess it's just using hot packs to keep them warm during shipping and swapping contact info. Let me know if you might be interested in something like that. I think it would cool. Obviously I would pay for the fish and shipping and all that. I don't know where you are located but I am in Southern California. Have a good one man.

I've sent fish out before so I'm familiar with the process, give me a few months to grow this batch out to a reasonable size and we'll work something out from there on!

Thanks fam! I feed my Tropheus a mix of NLS: Algaemax, Omega One Algae Pellets & Xtreme Cichlid Pellets. My tap usually comes out around 7.5 in pH and I used to add buffers/salt to bring it up but as of a year ago I have stopped doing that. I will be coming out with an update within the next week or so, as soon as I finish up with finals I'll have something cooked up.

+Touhin Mohammed I've had them for almost two years! It wasn't until a year and a half that they really started spawning, with all the rock work I placed in the tank I've had a high survival rate with the fry along with huge varied diet (:

+Sean Tolentino Sounds like I have a little way to go. I bought my frys a little over 5 months ago. Just got done with my first bloat problem, lost 7 but everything is finally doing good. Keep posting those update, defiantly look forward to see how they do.

+Touhin Mohammed Ah the infamous bloat, that's unfortunate you lost 7 but I'm sure everyone who's kept Tropheus has experienced it at least once. I had it happen to my colony once and thankfully only lost two but no loss would have been better of course. I find it that after their first initial case of bloat they have become nearly bulletproof and have been done extremely well ever since (:
