Thanks Subliminal. I took a year break from Star Citizen and your videos and setup are helping me get back up to speed.
I feel like I'm missing something here. I'm having the exact problem you made this video for, but even when I do exactly what's in the video I still spin like crazy in BF2042.

Definitely see benefits of this! SC is notorious for invalidating your setup because you plugged something else in. I have heard ppl RAGE several times from controls being swapped and it's incredibly difficult to guide someone through fixing it with the pp_resortdevices cmd.
Really excited for the next video. Once JoyStick Gremlin is setup most users will never have to fiddle with it again.

It works well with joystick gremlin too, so you can remap everything to 1 vjoy and all your devices look like one device to star citizen and don't get all messed up. Ah I see you bring this up at the very end, cool.

You know I've been forced to play Uno on my flight stick until you told me this? Weird world huh?
You can actually disable the razer Tartarus joystick functionality completely in windows. Not completely sure why it shows up as a controller anyways.

Is there a way to toggle hidhide on and off?
I tried the first part, adding SC to the list. I left all the devices un-checked and I thought everything was working. Then I went to play a game on steam, and the game was detecting my joysticks (which then disables my mouse). Did I do something wrong? The game (on steam) is not in the Applications tab. I just have SC, HidHide, and the VKB config application.
Thank god I only play with HOMAK (Hands On Mouse And Keyboard) haha ... No Joystick problems.
It's a great piece of software tho. Use it dor a while for other devices.
Thanks! For some reason planes nose dive when I unpause the "active pause" in MS Flt Sim. I finally found the problem stems from my Thrustmaster TWCS throttle. When I unplug it, the problem goes away. So I've been having to plug/unplug it when switching from SC to MSFS. Gonna download this now and give it a whirl.

when i use the hidehide some of my buttons of the right joycon does not work like the stick and the shoulder , the buttons x y a and b work what is the problem?
I've tried to get this to work, but no matter what I do, whether it's inverse cloaking or not, my game continues to detect my VKBs. I've done the restart, unplugged and replugged the joysticks after applying the settings. Nothing seems to work...Anyone have this issue? This seems to be an issue only with Battlefield 2042....Ugh..
How can I delete hid hide completely from my computer, so that there is nothing left of hid hide

Software wise a great idea but the other half to that is the whole hardware setup right in front of you that needs to be moved away for work or other games. That is a whole other hassle to tackle.

this is a copy paste of my post i made on the video. I thought you're thinking like me, and may be interested in hearing the way I'm set up... the tldr is, I have dual joysticks, but all I have in my face (and out of my wallet as a bonus!) is a tiny game remote and one single usb cord
been using ds4 for years to use the excellent top of class playstation remote, instead of crappy cramped offset ugly microsoft remote! they made the same program hidhide... don't worry if you see a file "nefarious"... they aren't nefarious against you, they're nefarious against microsoft because they undermine microsoft authority on windows by allowing the Sony remote to be seen by microsoft drivers as a bad microsoft crummy remote...
anyone interested in the joy of dual joysticks, without buying all that huge bulky equipment on your desk? consider buying one simple gaming remote instead... i don't care if you like the microsoft garbage you do you lol but think about it,
you lose some functionality (like notably the "twist" function on some sticks, and maybe a few extra buttons depending on the complexity of the expensive stick setup you would have chosen, but playstation remote does actually have 16 simple buttons plus 4 screen swipes, 4 screen touches, and 4 screen presses available (total 28 simple "buttons"), plus most buttons are available in combo mode with "L1+*" built into star citizen.... so one playstation remote can actually have 35 different unique functions in Star Citizen. and they change with the situation of course so the same button acts differently if you're in your ship seat, or out walking around, or in a menu

Unfortunately this doesn't seem to fix the problem where my screen saver won't come on if my sticks are plugged in even if I have the devices hidden from windows.

I think I've had the problem before I had the sticks with other devices but I can't remember for sure. Never been able to fix it.
Since we have the same sticks the issue must be your USB Hub or Windows settings. I have windows 11 subliminal.gg/mysetup/ has a link to my USB hub. I also recommend it if you have random disconnects or the devices swap after restarting or loss of power.
@@SubliminaLstv I had gotten a USB hub to plug the sticks into so I could press a button to shut them off rather than constantly unplugging.
It got damaged though so now I'm just back to unplugging.
I've never had problems with disconnects. I guess I've never had a problem with the device swap either as far as I know.
I'm on Win10 because I don't meet the TPM requirements for Win11.
I do mess with my PC a lot, my power profiles and such, but I've never been able to find anything that solve or "might solve" the problem on windows or in the bios.
My motherboard is an Asus TUF Z370-Pro Gaming.

If you have a USB powered hub with buttons switches, do not use! Using this software could cause issues with powered usb hubs that have their own on/off buttons - I've run into this problem and now I have no more control over my usb hub switches even after uninstalling HIDHIDE. If you insist on trying, ensure you have a recovery point.

HidHide suddenly stopped working recently. Anyone else got this issue?
I bet the game updated and you need to re-add the exe file in the software.
@@SubliminaLstv it happens to every game and programs. i have tried that, reinstall, reset everything all over. still not working.
the only thing HidHide seems to be working is hiding controller from joy.cpl. but everything else still detects controller.
Does this let Windows go to screensaver? My screen stays on if the sticks are in

Yeah some really good stuff I got when I was in the home security installation business. I just checked amazon and this looks like it. amzn.to/441VPca DO NOT put this stuff on your walls unless you want to repaint if it needs to come down.
