Very nice, balanced comparison. Been shooting with Fuji for a long time, currently with an XT5. Recently, had the opportunity to try the Nikon Zf. The Zf feels a bit more premium. Operation and menus are snappier. Autofocus is much better than the XT5, especially when shooting in continuous AF, in particular, as you point out, for video (but I shoot stills only, usually in single AF mode). Liked the B&W switch and the B&W JPEG output of the Zf, very nice. And of course, being a FF camera, the Zf performs better in low light when it comes to noise handling - which for me would be the main factor of owning the Zf, since I never use flash. But: the Zf is a heavy beast (although the grip was better than I expected). And if you combine it with premium lenses like the 24-70 f2.8, it becomes very heavy indeed. I'm just an amateur, and for me, the journey is as important as the destination, and I really like the handling and overall experience shooting the XT5. Also love the Fuji RAW files; very easy to edit to taste, using PS and Nik Effects. Also, the Zf with a couple of good lenses is a serious investment, and I really wondered whether in the end I would be a happier (never mind: better) shooter with the Nikon than with the Fuji. Probably not, and decided to stick with what I have. I have to say that, if I were a pro shooting hybrid, things would be different.

Same story might happen for the X100VI. Might be sold out forever and a Ricoh GRIV will come out and I'll snag it as my compact camera.
I know, but you still have to use two buttons, well a button and a wheel. I am ok with this but I want a on/off option for the function buttons. Just one click.
Really like that you mentioned the low light performance and how the higher resolution sensor looks better after noise reduction. This has been my experience also. I’ve been tempted by the Nikon, but it would be a lateral move from the XT5 for stills only. Thanks, Andrei.
@@mackymac3479 I’m not sure what point you were trying to make. Yes, both cameras have this function, but there better not be anything moving in your frame or you’ll get strange artifacts. Also, the file sizes and workflow are impractical for most situations. Additionally, the Fuji has a 160 MP pixel shift. Maybe I missed your intended point though.
Nikon ZF's full frame sensor gives it an advantage over the Fujifilm X-T5 especially in low light. It will certainly be much better in a professional photography scene, such as weddings and events. But the price of native lenses (Nikkor) can affect buyers' decision making as to whether they would change systems. Yes, there are third party lenses available but it won't be for everybody, as some photographers prefer native lenses over third party lenses. Also the colours. I heard that Nikon ZF has great picture profiles but no camera system beats Fuji's colour science. It makes a huge difference in the post processing.
Nikon Z 1.8 primes are cheaper than Fujifilm's 1.4 primes from where I'm from. As for "color science", Nikon's RAW files are much closer to GFX RAWs than the X-Trans files on the X-Series. I used all 3 systems for weddings and just recently sold my last X-Series body.
Love your video. Regarding the auto ISO, you can assign a button for that and while pressing the button you assigned and use the front dial it will turn on/off the auto iso and the back dial change the iso (with the physical iso iso set to c.
Nikon ZF is a very good camera. But the system is not appropriate for the SLR style camera. Not enough small lenses with aperture rings and retro style. And you can’t be sure to get a mark 2 or 3 a few years along the road.
similar look and similar price but one have full frame sensor other not. film simulation can be overcome if you shoot RAW and using current LR they offer quite nice ‘vintage’ filters nowadays.
When I started with photography nearly 15 years ago, I had the choice between Canon and Nikon. I decided to go for Canon, because I did not like the colours that Nikon produced. Personally, I find the reds and greens look weird on Nikon. With this comparison here, I still prefer Fuji. The size and the aperture rings are very important to me. Not to mention that the cameras deliver excellent quality also. I have been using the Canon 1DX III for a long time. It was the best camera I have ever used, until I moved to Fuji with the X-T4. In the end, it will always depend on what you do and what is important to you. I use the Nikon Nikkor ED 180mm f/ 2,8 (vintage) on the X-T5 and this combination is absolutely breathtaking.
Never had a digital camera before. Just my phone and for 1.5 years i used film dslr's or film point and shoots. I'm thinking about getting a digital camera for different reasons and so far i'm stuck between the Nikon Zf and the Fuji X-T5 🤔 both seem awesome to me and what i like on the one camera is not possible on the other camera etc. how can I come to a decision? 😭
Great review. I own the X-T5 and am looking forward to see how the AF improves with the upcoming firmware updates. I have me eye on the Zf but not parting with my X-T5. Waiting on the rumored Canon Retro camera to be unveiled at some point and then make a call.
I've never shot without an aperture ring. Also just haven't seen sample images from other brands where I like the color better than Fuji. Exception being the Pentax monochrome with that obvious limitation.
Thank you ! actually people say that ZF has better low light performance. Yet, the XT 5 can show a good quality low light performance with an 18 mm 1.4 lens. I have been thinking a lot about changing my X T 5 and getting ZF. The megapixel is so low for some reason, and we usually crop a lot in the photos we take. It is good for APS C camera to go head to head with a full frame camera. This also explains how good it is X T 5. If they able to update the firmware with AF then it would be great.
Oddly enough I was in McBain (our local camera store) the other day and a buyer was actually cross shopping the ZF and an XT5. Didn't see that coming, but maybe I should have.
I don't think the difference is significant. While the Nikon ZF performs better in low light, if you have f1.4 lenses, you should be fine with the X-H2s. The ZF autofocus is better in both photo and video, but Fujifilm will release a new firmware update soon. See what that does and then decide.
@@Jgheiler I think the Z6III would be a better option. The ZF is a good camera for video, dual native ISO and N-Log are great. Nikon cameras have superior AF, photo and video.
I have large hands and moved from X-T3 to Nikon Z7 (first version). I really enjoy the bigger sized camera. With a 26mm f2.8 I can also shoot in APS-C mode at 39mm at the flick of a switch so I have 2 focal lengths from every lens I put on it. I don’t need fast auto-focus and actually quite like to slow down and manually focus. Voightlander make superb manual focus lenses, with aperture rings that will last a lifetime. I’m impressed with Nikon colours but also like to play with Fuji simulations. With the 26/39mm combo on the Z7 at 800 gms I can still walk with it in my anorak jacket pocket so very convenient as a walkabout combo. Yes there are more advanced cameras on the market but they won’t necessarily improve your photography. Beware of the marketing hype; they’re out to take your hard earned cash! Speaking of which for pure pleasure I’ve pre-ordered the X100VI to play with the simulations and also have 3 focal lengths, built-in 4 stop ND filter, leaf shutter for very high flash sync speed, built-in flash, 40mpx and image stabilisation at only 500gms. So neither the Zf or the X-T5 will be on my shopping list. Thank you so much Andrei for a very interesting and comprehensive video. Your photographs are top drawer too. Greetings from London.
I’ve been Fuji since 2018, currently on the XT5 and X100V. Recent firmware’s have basically broken the autofocus on the Fuji. I tried the Nikon Zf and long story short I’m gonna sell my XT5, 33 and 56 & get the ZF and a few lenses. Gonna keep the X100V. One question, I have a bad back and weight is important to me. Is the Zf much much heavier than the XT5? Or is it fairly light for a full frame?
The ZF is around 60 grams heavier than most full frame mirrorless cameras. If you pair it with lenses like the 40mm f2 or the Viltrox 20mm f2.8 you are going to be ok.
This is a copy & paste of comment i left on another video; "I'm facing a similar conundrum. It's coming to about a year since I got the Fuji XT30ii. I have 2 lens, the kit xc 15-45mm and a ttartisan 35mm 1.4 manual. They've covered my bases and I love the 35, makes it very compact combo. Photography for me is for the creative outlet/hobby. By middle of next year considering getting a new camera. The xt30ii scratches everything for me, xtrans 4 senor, film sims, compactness. I'm not sure if I want to invest the money on more expensive lenses for fuji. I'm looking at the Nikon ZF, it surprise how much I'm interested in it. It beeing FF, the lens are relatively more expensive. I want to pair it with a Voigtlander Nokton 50mm f/1.0, basically a dream set up. A 2k cameria + a 1.5k lens, why not get a Leica for that amount? I think theyre overrated. I don't know food for thought. I'm currently not in the market at all but maybe in the next 1.5-2 yrs. Do I need it? Hell no. I'm only a year in, but my thoughts and interests have changed since I've started. Good video!" There are extremes on any kind of point being made. For instance, I'm not sure if I want to invest the money on APSC lenses. My thought process is if I am going to buy lenses I am leaning towards FF. Yet an $80 ttartisan lens has brought me so much joy, how much more joy can a $1,500 lens bring me? And to that fuji fanboys we'll say that the APSC lenses are cheaper, relatively. Thats where im split between the system i already have and one i think i want to enter. Coming around a year, my current set is more than enough. I believe this is early stages of gas or fomo. The xt30ii can be considered entry level or mid-range depending on whose hands they fall on. These two cameras imo cross the line into prosumer. The fact that I have now a dream setup or something I would consider end game is hilarious. I'll probably be in the market in the next 2 years and time will tell how the Zf will hold, and what Nikon will do with updating it.
In case you want to, you can pull the Peak Design connectors through the bare Nikon lugs by looping dental floss through and around. Quieter without the metal triangle thingies.
Great comparison as these bodies are very similar and appeal to the same audience. Since I was already invested in the Z series, it made my purchase decision easier to choose Zf. Fuji has done a great job with the XT5 but their processor seems a generation behind Nikon.
Thank you! Fujifilm will release a new firmware update soon. I hope it will showcase more of the processor power. So far, it seems to be a generation behind, as you mentioned.
Amazing video Andrei! Subbed already! I have a X100vi and am looking for a bigger brother for it for more serious (still a hobbyist) photos I.E portraits of my misses, been debating between these two for last two weeks! Which one would you prefer/recommend? Thanks
Well its wrong that fuji doesnt want to but they cant! They invested so much money in their Aps-c bodys, lenses... and of course gfx system. Why should they make full frame? To make people buy full frame instead of their aps-c lineup? Its not logical at all for them to invest in a complete new category for them. The Zf is more "professional" in my eyes. You get a lot cleaner high iso files, superior af, better built quality, evf... the XT-5 is an incredible camera but I think with the amazing Z lenses the Nikon wins but its not always about checking boxes its about the feeling and passion.
I’ve recently sold my xt-5 and have had 5 of their primes. Don’t get me wrong I loved my Fuji but sold it and bought the Zf as a back up to my Z8. Something deep down inside of me just felt like I needed and preferred FF. Now I am content with my lowlight monster, beats the xt-5 hands down, in that regard at least. Be that as it may, I am waiting for my x100vi just so I possess a fuji, as it has a place in my heart lol Great comparison btw keep it up!
Great video, but I think the quality of the glass had an effect on the results. the Viltrox 27 f1.2 is amazing, and quite a bit better than the 40mm f2. The 40mm F2 is a cheap plastic lens, and the Viltrox is a much more expensive pro line lens, 4 times the size.
@@AndreiDimaReviews ahh okay. yes the 40mm F2 at 5.6 is very sharp. Is it possible for you to share the raw photos maybe, I am considering both cameras.
@@AndreiDimaReviewsI really like your review on Nikon Zf vs Fujifilm X-T5. That's a very great video comparison. By the way, I am a proud owner of Fujifilm XS-20, do you have video and still photography test on this model? Thank you.
It's really not. I rented both to test out and the zf with the 28mm is about the same compared to the x-t5 with the 23 1.4. Now obviously if you use the f2 lenses, that would change things but then we arent on the same page in low light. You can make both cameras be very comparable depending on what lenses you are using. Both are great for different reasons. Really struggling to decide which way I want to go. The autofocus is on a different level with the zf though. I think objectively Nikon is on top there with the zf. It's tough honestly
I have both, but I like the raw files from the Zf better, I’m thinking about selling the x-t5 but I don’t know, I don’t like that the x-t5 it’s not optimized with old 1.4 and 1.2 lenses from Fuji, you need to buy the new ones.
@@AndreiDimaReviews I use Lightroom, you think I should use capture one for Fuji? TBH I really like Fuji, that is why I haven’t sold my x-t5… I still have my x-e4 too.
I think Fuji delivers a closer look and feel to analogue photography; but it’s not just trendy nostalgia, the images somehow feel warmer and more organic. To me, anyway
It’s all artificial. Shoot them both in raw and compare them in editing software, apply the same preset and what will you notice? Colors will likely be irrelevant because they look the same but the increased IQ from a full frame , more dynamic range etc will stand out on the Nikon.
@@richardlucascronley5128 I understand the point but many photographers don’t fall for tech specs. It’s about the feeling you get from the images themselves not from the camera and the technology behind it. @@richardlucascronley5128its a retro camera user experience. In the old days You choose a film before start the shooting. Think before shoot instead of mass post production.
Hi Andrei, you can get the cobalt fuji presets which stimulate very well the fuji film simulations....im not a good color grader but having both the xh2s and the nikon zf, i manage to get more pleasing colors on the nikon zf with those sims.
LR has GOT to start demosaicing Fuji files better and add BASIC features like importing ratings if you have done them in-camera. I bought Capture one this year partly because I am tired of LR making my razor-sharp images mushy. I am convinced this is a big reason people think Fuji cameras s***. Sure, I can get good results most of the time, but the extra work is not appreciated and I don’t like making huge DNG files to “fix” LR’s laziness even if, admittedly, the results from enhance details one-up C1. BTW I wouldn’t buy either camera-the ergos for both are terrible for the bigger lenses that are well worth owning. Without vertical battery grips they’re too compromised for what I like to do. That and the XT5 should have better build quality, or a lower price IMO. But it’s nice to see that it beat the Nikon’s image quality-impressive.
That is why I switched to Capture a year ago. Adobe needs to do something about Lightroom and X-Trans support. The X-H2 is very well built, has a better grip and you can add a vertical grip.
I tried Topaz on Fuji samples and it does a great job on denoising. P.S. I'm using native Olympus and Nikon software for basic editing, then export to tiff, then using Topaz for sharpening and denoising. The results are stunning.
@@AlexB-km7osthat’s a lot of steps to get to the end result. It also still creates huge files. For those of us batch editing hundreds of RAWs for events/sports/whatever, we mostly need the sharpness and noise performance we know Fuji provides natively. Capture1 definitely gets that, the multi-billion adobe does not, unfortunately. Again, not saying I can’t get a good result, but in many cases it would be totally impractical to do it to 500 files. It’s stupid.
Thanks for the comparison! I'm now considering switching from my Sony a99 to Fuji xt5 and viewing most of the videos :) i have spotted that you don't edit in the lightroom, what software do you use instead?
Thanks for the detailed comparison, it seems in the end technology has progressed so much that it is more a matter of personal preferences than personal needs. Said that I am not professional, seeing those crops around 9:25 makes me feel a bit guilty for not printing large and maybe my cameras are better than my needs.
The spellings points for me with the Nikon : The flip screen for family photos, the full frame, AF, I really dig the B&w switch , I think the downloadable film sims look good on Nikon, also it’s better build wuality. Magnesium frame and brass dials .. xt5 feels cheap and flimsy in comparison
I really like how informative your reviews are. Thank you for that. About this particular review, in my opinion you should have used the lens on the X-T5 at f2, not f1.4. It isn't much, but given the movement in the dance vs depth of field difference, it would have been more fair. Regardless, it sounds good to the ear that a very experienced camera maker be on top. I love my X-T5, but I respect all manufacturers for what they chose to deliver in terms of "quality tools" and "enjoyability". As they might put it "customer delight". It is the most important to me.
@@AndreiDimaReviews I missed that conversion factor, sorry. It applies to the amount of light reaching the sensor, right? But does it also apply a factor to the depth of field?
@@dimpap1370 Oh! I think I understand what you meant. "The f value is a constant on all lenses, only the depth of field can vary between sensor sizes."

Apples to pears comparison. The X-T5 holds its own even vs FF. A great camera if you know how to use it effectively. The extra weight and price of the Nikon could be a key decision for many people.
The Nikon ZF is not that big. I love using the camera with a neck strap and adapted lenses from other brands. Nikon has some impressive lenses when it comes to image quality; the 50mm f1.8 S is amazing and cheaper than Fujifilm lenses. You have Viltrox lenses available. And this is just the beginning; it's a new camera. Another thing regarding ergonomics and the grip: do we really want all cameras to look the same?
@@Ben-cx8de good for you, but if you want tô change this and use a 70-200, 24-70 2.8 or 50mm 1.2 the problem will appear. Even the 28 and 40 are huge if you compare with fuji 18mm f2 and 27 2.8... But this is other story.
The Nikon is the better camera hands down. Fuji is on their 5th generation of this camera and the system is more matured. When the Fuji released their first gen lenses, they were awful. Not they’ve matured and improved the glass. Excited to see how Nikon further develops this camera and lenses to go with it.
Nikon has almost no good lenses for their aps-c offering. In any case although it is a subjective preference it seems to me your preference is for lenses with no character, so kudos for you to get what you want. I prefer the old glass.

Nice shout out to Cine Dailies for Fuji video content. Love his channel. Great comparison. I shoot all Fuji and yeah I wish the autofocus was better sometimes. I’m too invested in lenses to justify selling everything off. I’ll make do. It’s the artist not the tool right!
Thank you! @CineDailies is a great channel for video work. I hope the next update from Fujifilm improves the autofocus. I really like Fujifilm cameras and hope they will improve with time.
I’m a Nikon shooter and personally I prefer the Nikon colour science. I really wish that Nikon would make a range finder style camera, somewhat like the Xpro2, which I had and eventually sold. It should have the latest AF tech, optical and electronic hybrid view finder and a 30 MP sensor would suffice. I would put and order in immediately for that, in all black of course.
This is actually something I love about the ZF as it makes taking random family photos easier for me, AND flipping it around to no screen and shooting just like an old analog film camera is a nice feature
The Nikon makes zero sense to me: Why make a retro camera for a system that does not have any retro lenses with an aperture ring on it. Sure Nikon made some cool glass, but non of the lenses fits the style the Zf.
I get your point. Fujifilm launched the X-Pro 1 with three lenses. There is still time for Nikon to make new lenses. I think they are just testing the waters with this camera.
The 27mm f1.2 is equivalent to a 40mm f2 on full frame. Both lenses have good autofocus. For the sharpness test, I shot both lenses at f5.6 where they are both sharp. So, it is the same.
Looks are like women, it's not the whole package, the problem with the ZF is the lens selection, the 28 and 40 mm take decent photos but the plastic lens and lens mount are like buying a Corvette and putting hubcaps on it from Auto Zone. I have the Nikon ZF, ZFC and Z6Ii also the Fujifilm XT3, XT5 and XH2, because Fujifilm has been making retro style camera bodies for a long time they have a better choice of glass especially if you want to have a compact package. Nikon needs to make a wider selection of glass based on the 28 & 40mm f2 but with an aperture ring and metal lens mount.

Glad it was helpful!
Thank you, question 7 month after your video do you still prefer the XT5 over the Nikon ZF?
@@jrperezphotography For landscape and travel I prefer the X-T5. For anything else, the ZF.
You can customize the movie record button to be an ISO button that can also be used for auto ISO on the ZF .
I know, but you still have to use two buttons, well a button and a wheel. I am ok with this but I want a on/off option for the function buttons. Just one click.
@@AndreiDimaReviews It doesn't take that long, but I understand.
Really like that you mentioned the low light performance and how the higher resolution sensor looks better after noise reduction. This has been my experience also. I’ve been tempted by the Nikon, but it would be a lateral move from the XT5 for stills only. Thanks, Andrei.
I am glad my video was helpful!
Doesn't the zf have a pixel shift function for a 92mp image
@@mackymac3479 I’m not sure what point you were trying to make. Yes, both cameras have this function, but there better not be anything moving in your frame or you’ll get strange artifacts. Also, the file sizes and workflow are impractical for most situations. Additionally, the Fuji has a 160 MP pixel shift. Maybe I missed your intended point though.
@@mackymac3479It does, but it’s cumbersome and only suitable for subjects that don't move.
Nikon f1.8 primes are cheaper than Fujifilm f1.4 new primes. You can also adapt F mount lenses that you can buy quite cheap these days.
Love your video. Regarding the auto ISO, you can assign a button for that and while pressing the button you assigned and use the front dial it will turn on/off the auto iso and the back dial change the iso (with the physical iso iso set to c.
Thanks for the info!
Nikon ZF is a very good camera. But the system is not appropriate for the SLR style camera. Not enough small lenses with aperture rings and retro style. And you can’t be sure to get a mark 2 or 3 a few years along the road.
I hope Nikon will release more lenses for this camera.
similar look and similar price but one have full frame sensor other not. film simulation can be overcome if you shoot RAW and using current LR they offer quite nice ‘vintage’ filters nowadays.
Similar price?
Bro nikon zf is my hope, and i will buy this masterpiece soon..
Good choice
Thank you for sharing!
If you want portability and film simulations, get the X-T5. If you want good autofocus, a durable body and good low light performance get the ZF.
One of the best composed photos I ever saw on YT. Very pleasing to the eyes. Thanks for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed it
Great review. I own the X-T5 and am looking forward to see how the AF improves with the upcoming firmware updates.
I have me eye on the Zf but not parting with my X-T5. Waiting on the rumored Canon Retro camera to be unveiled at some point and then make a call.
I can't wait for that firmware update. I hope they don't release it in the last day of May.
The Canon Retro camera that is rumored is APS-C, which kinda sucks as there's already the X100 series.
@@marvellous9652 I hope it is not APS-C.
I've never shot without an aperture ring. Also just haven't seen sample images from other brands where I like the color better than Fuji. Exception being the Pentax monochrome with that obvious limitation.
So far I enjoy the Fujifilm colours the most.
Thank you ! actually people say that ZF has better low light performance.
Yes, the X-T5 is great camera and I hope the next firmware update fixes the AF.
Oddly enough I was in McBain (our local camera store) the other day and a buyer was actually cross shopping the ZF and an XT5. Didn't see that coming, but maybe I should have.
I think once the Nikon Z6iii will come out the ZF is going to become more popular.
I’m considering trading/selling my X-H2s towards a ZF with the 40mm . Is it an upgrade? As far as images
I don't think the difference is significant. While the Nikon ZF performs better in low light, if you have f1.4 lenses, you should be fine with the X-H2s. The ZF autofocus is better in both photo and video, but Fujifilm will release a new firmware update soon. See what that does and then decide.
@AndreiDimaReviews fuji release the ver 7 of the xh2s firmware. So you think it will be worth moving to nikon zf from fuji xh2s?
I am glad you enjoyed my video! Greetings from Valencia, Spain.
Your photos are fabulous, Andrei. Seen them on the Zf FB pages.
Thank you!🙂
nikon zf and x100vi are my dream cameras
This is a copy & paste of comment i left on another video;
"I'm facing a similar conundrum. Good video!"
There are extremes on any kind of point being made.
Thank you for sharing! I hope you enjoyed the video.
Own XT5 then bought ZF for its look. Use it a couple of weeks then sold it. Fuji colors are just magical

That plus the Zf lenses are Godzilla size, really silly. Nikon won’t sell a ton of these.
In case you want to, you can pull the Peak Design connectors through the bare Nikon lugs by looping dental floss through and around. Quieter without the metal triangle thingies.
Thx for the tip!
Great comparison as these bodies are very similar and appeal to the same audience. Since I was already invested in the Z series, it made my purchase decision easier to choose Zf. Fuji has done a great job with the XT5 but their processor seems a generation behind Nikon.

Agreed
I sold my XT4, now I wanted to go full frame but yet small, confused between Sony A7CII, Nikon ZF and also Lumix S9 .. its so difficult these days
I think the Sony A7CII is the best option if you want a small camera.
Be that as it may, I am waiting for my x100vi just so I possess a fuji, as it has a place in my heart lol
Great comparison btw keep it up!

@@AndreiDimaReviewsI really like your review on Nikon Zf vs Fujifilm X-T5. That's a very great video comparison. By the way, I am a proud owner of Fujifilm XS-20, do you have video and still photography test on this model? Thank you.
ZF seems huge side-by-side with the X-T5.
The ZF is so much bigger than the Nikon 35mm full-frame SLRs like the FM2!
It seems, but it is not that big.

I think Fuji delivers a closer look and feel to analogue photography; but it’s not just trendy nostalgia, the images somehow feel warmer and more organic. To me, anyway
I know, I prefer the Fujifilm files over other brands.
My favourite colour is yellow, hope they make a yellow Zf very soon!
That would be nice!
Sid please tell me which is sharper who clicks sharp photos
If you have good lenses both cameras. The Nikon ZF has better autofocus.
I'm now considering switching from my Sony a99 to Fuji xt5 and viewing most of the videos :)

Thank you! I used the lens at f1.4 because it is closer to f2 on full frame, I wanted to have the same subject separation.
@@AndreiDimaReviews I missed that conversion factor, sorry. It applies to the amount of light reaching the sensor, right? But does it also apply a factor to the depth of field?
Yes, f1.2 on APS-C gives you almost the same depth as f2 on full frame.
The depth of field changes yes, but not the aperture. An f1.2 lens always stays an f1.2 lens, always!!!

Apples to pears? What's wrong with that?
The problem with Zf is the size and quality of the lenses. Ergonomics with the lenses too. Nobody will still use only the 40mm f2 or 28mm 2.8.

The Nikon is the better camera hands down. Fuji is on their 5th generation of this camera and the system is more matured. When the Fuji released their first gen lenses, they were awful. Not they’ve matured and improved the glass. Excited to see how Nikon further develops this camera and lenses to go with it.
I hope Nikon will make more compact primes.
If we don't see any great offerings from Nikon this year, or Sigma, I am going to be so fucking joker-fied
Nikon has almost no good lenses for their aps-c offering. In any case although it is a subjective preference it seems to me your preference is for lenses with no character, so kudos for you to get what you want. I prefer the old glass.

True.
A full frame, range finder style camera would be nice. But I think they don't want to compete with Leica.

It all depends on your needs.
@@AndreiDimaReviews I shot Fuji for years, but the noise has always bothered me. Fuji raw files are just not as editable as the full-frame ones.

I get your point. Fujifilm launched the X-Pro 1 with three lenses. There is still time for Nikon to make new lenses. I think they are just testing the waters with this camera.

Nikon already sold a lot of ZF's. In time there are going to be more lenses available. Most people use it with adapted vintage or Sony lenses.
Nikon looks way better.
It is a beautiful camera!

Wait for it……FUJIFILM.

@@AndreiDimaReviews yes I did.
@@uziforyoutosay1749 And?
@@AndreiDimaReviewsI always preferred Nikon optics, and have many AF lenses which relied on the body for screw control. Original Df camera had backward compatibility. I waited for the Zf hoping it would have an adapter to interface older lenses but Nikon executive decided a different approach. There are third adapters but autofocus is not available on screw motor control. So, compared the xt5 to zf, I have to buy new lenses, and I believe Fuji optics are better than Nikon now. Got the xt5, new Fuji lenses, and adapter to use my old Nikon glass….wait for it……Fujifilm.
Nikon got no wide angle options to shoot 60FPS. 🫠
Viltrox 20mm f2.8. Compact and has very good AF.
@@AndreiDimaReviews 20*1.5, it will be 30mm equivalent in 60FPS!
