this video is such a perfect summary of what makes their relationship so special to me ;__; eileen is such a fascinating factor to sam's story, from the moment they met she had the potential to be everything he longed for but knew he could never get, because he'd already lost too much. I really love how they build them up, and I love that even when sam lost hope, he could still tell chuck's influence apart from what he was feeling towards eileen. he let her go, yes, but he still opened up enough to hope she'll find her way back when she's ready. you really summed all of that up beautifully, and the song choice ruined me haha

I know Sam hasn't had a major ship partner in the past, but even the short-lived ones never really clicked for me, but once Eileen joined the show (I love her completely separately from Sam I should say) I was finally like "okay, here we go, she is the one."

As Chuck said, he gave a slight nudge to make sure Eileen found the bunker and that Sam found the spell, but all the feelings were their own. We already saw in season 11 and 12 that they had a little flirtation going on, well before Chuck got involved. It's fair that Eileen needs some space to get her head together and ground herself in reality again, but I think she'll be back. I think this is also a good method by the writers to keep her out of harms way for the rest of the season until they're ready to bring her back. But yes, Sam and Eileen are so precious, I love them much.

I love the kissing scence of Sam and Eileen. Never thought I miss seeing sam doing it. How I wish that the kiss took long. They are perfect. I want the ending to be satisfying seeing both boys find their happiness and peace.

Dropping it in the end like it was nothing was such a slap in the face. I don’t understand it. It would have been simple enough to solidify their relationship though a photograph or even with Sam and his son using sign language. Anyway, I cried a lot watching this video. I really wasn’t expecting that reaction. Sometimes this show is a lot, I guess. The video is lovely! And it was therapeutic, honestly. Thank you for sharing.

I also love the fact that you've shown that this aspect of Sam's life isn't happening in a vacuum. There are so many factors in his life that would go into how he feels about her, and I think you did a wonderful job of showing that. Because he has cared about other women before, he's been in love before, and every time he's lost someone he's cared about, it seems to make it that much harder to open himself up to that all over again. But Eileen seems like that friend who you get to know, and share so much about, and somewhere along the way you realize you that love them, and maybe you don't even know what FORM of love it even is at first, but you want them to be in your life.
