I see so many people who throw away more food in a single sitting than I typically consume in a whole day, then still complain about the smallest of things. SS took away my SSDI because I taught myself to walk again. I'm not talking about walking like a normal person, more like a penguin but I was ambulatory. The process included numerous doctor visits and paperwork. Ultimately a doctor who never met with me decided I was only 90% disabled so I wasn't qualified for SSDI anymore. So I feel for the guy.
I find it amazing that our own government will cut someone's aid and in the next breath send a billion dollars to another country. Time to start taking care of our own. Cut the special interest and take care of our own. Love everything you do Michael. Keep up the great work.

By Gods grace he got help from the VA , got clean, a place to live, a wonderful girlfriend... and they called mom every day the last year of her life. So many heartbroken moms & siblings out here.

One thing is you have to have an actual address to receive it, not a PO box, it can be a third party, or he must have a bank account to have direct deposit and most banks require an address.

Michael, my son has to be re-evaluated every few years for his disability. They have to make sure he still has the syndrome that he was born with, is still mentally retarded, still has autism, still is under physc. care and taking 12 meds a day for his explosive disorder. We have to fill out many forms, submit several doctor reports, do an interview with their doctor, and does he still really need to live in a facility with two staff taking care of him every shift. And so on. This has been going on over 20 years.
I live in fear 24/7 because of not having an address that I can get to and fear of not replying in time to the SSA. I am dealing with a terminal illness and struggling to care for my needs as I have had an increase in symptoms. I am close to giving up . Suffering is becoming overwhelming. I don't understand how or why people in this country have to exist like we do. Makes me glad I won't have to be here much longer.

You have to have a disability to get SSI !! That’s why they cut it off. I have breast cancer and I have to work everyday and I’m in pain but I can’t draw any type of disability
