To create a private network:
Step 1: If you have not previously installed Hyper-V, please refer to the following video or article:

Article: www.sysnettech...
Step 2: After installing it, run the Microsoft virtualization program and select two virtual machines from Virtual Machines to configure as VLANs.
Step 3: Click on Virtual Switch Manager in the Actions section.
Step 4: Select Private in the Create Virtual Switch window and click the Create button.
Step 5: Enter a name for the new Virtual Switch and enable the Private Network option.
Step 6: Open the virtual machine settings you specified and click Network Adapter and then Virtual Switch. In the window that opens, select the Virtual Switch you created.
Step 7: Now run both virtual machines and type in the desired IP block after opening the TCP/IP settings. For example;
192.168.10.0/24
➦ 192.168.10.10
➦ 192.168.10.7
Step 8: On both virtual machines, open your CMD prompt and ping to test the network connection between each other.
Step 9: The network connection between the two virtual machines will be successful. Because we connected these virtual machines with #Private #Network.
Step 10: If you want to configure a VLAN, this time you need to enable the [Enable Virtual LAN Identification] option from the adapter settings of these virtual machines and type the same value as the ID.
➦ VLAN ID: 2
Step 11: If you configure one of the two virtual machines with a different VLAN ID, the network connection will fail.

thank you
great video, thanks bro!
good video
I couldn't follow this video. Im new to hyper v but I had just installed it and created a VM with windows 10 but I deleted the 2 switches that hyper v auto created when going through the wizard, I selected private and thats what I want. It also created a default (internal) switch which I also deleted but after a reboot it is auto created again but I suspect wrongly. idk. I can only get my VM to connect internet by creating a external switch but it shuts off my pc's internet and I had it working fine but I didn't like that it would always use the vSwitches when not using VM so I deleted trying to change it back thinking I could just create them again. NOPE.. :( I cant even use the wizard again.. wont do it over. I just want to go back to the default 1 internal switch and 1 private.
How do I make a private switch guys? Ive been at this all day.. No good clear guides..
Waste of time
