Such a great video using pigment powders. I especially love how you used the embossing folder, after you fussy cut around it wow what a lovely looking crisp and simple card. Thank you Simon for another great idea in using what most of us have in our stash.
Oh my word, that embossing folder technique is just so pretty! It turned out SO pretty! This video has a great title, you're right - this is going to change the way I use my Nuvo powders! Thanks for sharing Simon, always love watching your videos. You come up with some great ideas!
I love using my gel press and the Powders do amazing on them! Sometimes I take gold or silver gel pen and run it through and it looks sort of like foiling. I have also pressed foil down on it while still a little wet for amazing colors!
Fantastic way to use the shimmer powders! I’ve never thought to use them in embossing folders or with the gel plate. Oh my goodness I can’t wait to try this. And that butterfly is amazing!! I always love it when we can find other uses for our supplies than just as intended. Thank you for sharing that, & Tracy’s channel. Can’t wait to check it out.
Beautiful. I have some of these powders, they are quite difficult to get hold of at the moment. I made a background using a couple of colours and then die cut several layers of a butterfly die, stuck them together to make a thicker butterfly (as shown by Natasha Foote)and then stuck onto a solid background and filled the wing sections with some nuvo drops to make a stain glass effect. Then set the butterfly on my background. Looks stunning. Love the nuvo range.
Blue, green, yellow with butterfly is my favorite. I have a ton of pigment powders and can't wait to try them in embossing folders and will Gelli plate. Thanks Simon.
What a fun way to use the pigment powders, so different using a paisley stamp to use as a butterfly. I think the powders in the embossing folder was my favourite
The embossing flower card was stunning!! My favorite!! Beautiful!! The rest of the show was great also..love learning new techniques!! Thnx for all you do, Simon!!
How fun are these powders! Thanks for showing how they work and the fun things you can do with them. I think the cutting out of the embossed image came out so great.
My favorite card was the butterfly card, but both are gorgeous! The shimmer powders make the most amazing backgrounds, but enjoyed your use of them in the embossing folder and in stamping!
I adore the embossing folder technique. The powdered pigment inks gives such stunning effects. I've had a gel plate, for years, and I've never used it. Thanks for that technique, too.
Thanks so much Simon! I loved the pinkish card the best. I was thrilled when you showed those powders! I have two that I’ve never used and to combine them with the Gel Press … amazing! Thanks again Simon!
Very close to a tie... but the floral just inched out to be the fave. Thoroughly enjoy how you manage to find creative ways to use products. This has been true for your whole career so I think it must be your 'superpower.' Thanks for sharing and for your enthusiasm for cardmaking!
I really loved the makes here, they are stunning. I've been meaning to get some such powders, but never have. Also, gel plates, but never have. I think this puts me over the edge to move forward on those things. I hadn't thought of using the stamping foam for just regular mirror image stamping. All so beautiful and I'd love to create some of my own cards like these! Thanks for sharing, very wow! Paula
Color In A Bottle You Really Don't Know What You Are Going To Get WOW Simon You Really Out Did Yourself With This One I Really The Card And The Different Techniques And Of My Favorite Part Is When Tada Appears And Everything Comes To Life Thanks For Sharing!!!
Simon, these are BRILLIANT!! Because of this video, I went out and bought gel plates and more pigment powders today!! Next stop…..your stamping foam!! ♥️. Just remarkable techniques and cards. Many thanks 🙏🏼
I never thought about using the shaped gel presses with these powders! I’m going to get those and try this now! Simon, I love your great ideas and beautiful techniques 🥰
Both cards were beautiful! I liked the butterfly card the best because of the depth the powders had and because of the creative use of the gel press and stamping!
Simon I really loved both of them I love butterflies and dragonflies they are my two favorites. But I think my mom would love a card with the flowers on it. They turned out beautiful both of them
OMG, everything you created using that technique turned out beautiful, I love it! I am going to order more of the Nuvo watercolor powder as I only have 3 colors but I want to recreate the green, blue & purple background. The butterfly card was my favorite however that is probably only due to I have a tendency to levitate towards anything with cool colors in it. Thank you very much for sharing so many of your ideas, technique's, knowledge and much more. ❤️❤️❤️
I love Brusho, the powders, and I like the technique with the gelli plate you showed in this fantastic video! :) Thank you for this inspiration :) Happy crafting!
Love how you used the powders. I am going to dust mine off and use along with my dusty gel plates! Also loved learning to do a reverse image with your stamping foam (those are NOT dusty)! Always love learning new things from you.
I can't wait to try this, I have some pearl powders I think this technique would be great with. Also thanks to the wonderful Tracy "Not Afraid of Color"
Can the powders be applied to the embossing folder with a brush to slightly color a specific spot before the rest of the pigments are added and then misted? These colors are so unpredictable I wonder if anyone has tried this? As to favorite, not fair!!! Loved how you made the butterfly without a butterfly stamp and the mirror stamping. As to the second, I've personally not seen an embossing folder cut out before. The winner: the butterfly. (Maybe) Got to ask another question: can perfect pearls be included here? By themselves or as an addition?
Love the idea for making butterf. Can't wait to try the gel press, i have a larger that would make a colorful full background. The powders must be my next purchase. Thanks for your demonstration. Best wishes😃
What a fun video! I have almost every color of the Nuvo shimmer powders and I have a gel press and plenty of embossing folders. Can't wait to try this.
Oh my goodness! The cards are beautiful, but I must say the butterfly one is super stunning! I really enjoy playing with my gelli plate and this is new inspiration!
I love your videos but this one is my favourite! I can't wait to try your techniques. I would never have thought to use the powders on an embossing folder or a gel press - mind blown! Thanks for all you do - keep up the great work.
I don't have any of the shimmer powder, but I have Brusho powders, and I bet using Perfect Pearls with it would look similar, although probably not quite as pretty. I love your cards!
Thanks for such great inspiration! Love both cards but the butterfly is my fav. I love you using the stamping foam to reverse and the gel plate with the powders too! Time to play!
Oh wow! I am going to have to get my watercolor pigment powders out! You are a huge inspiration! I am going to have to get some of the smaller gel plates. I especially like that circle! I would like a circle, triangle and square set. I like all the cards, but that butterfly is amazing. Well, all the cards are amazing!

Love the butterfly. I am so glad you demo’d the Nuvo powder. And the foaming stamp/mirror image was mind blowing.
I love using my gel press and the Powders do amazing on them! Sometimes I take gold or silver gel pen and run it through and it looks sort of like foiling. I have also pressed foil down on it while still a little wet for amazing colors!

What a great idea to use the powders with embossing folders and gel press, never thought about trying that. Thanks for the idea.
