So the girl with the bag is named Accord. She's been around since Nier's prequels half called Drakengard (Drag-On Dragoon) she came from Drakengard 3 and recording events from Drakengard 3 to Drakengard 1 to replicant to reincarnation automata. Sing her as a big deal to the OG fans and newcomers to learn where it started. I hope you experience the full Drakengard to the Nier.
The character in the final scene is from Drag-On Dragoon 3 and her name is Accord, that is all I will give since you should play Drag-On Dragoon 3 to see what that character is about.
After all that depressing stuff he pulled, Yoko managed to give us a beautiful and happy ending after all. This was an amazing series from front to back and a great video game adaptation. Incredible, just simply incredible
Just as expected, Yoko Taro ends this story in a beautiful mind f**k. Massive props to A-1 Pictures for crushing this anime adaptation with beautiful art, animation, voice acting, music and story composition. P.S. I still don't understand what they did to get the alternate ending....
anime-only clarity (will not answer "what procs this alternate ending??") . . . . . . A2 took the full virus from 9S to allow the pods to eradicate it from him and then let the pods heal him, and then gave her memories to go with the machine lifeforms onto their Ark. My interpretation is that she went with them, instead of just destroying them, because she was entrusted to live, and this would be one way to allow both 9S and herself to survive in some form. And then at the end, instead of letting all traces of YoRHa be deleted (including all memory and struggle of 2B, 9S, and A2), Pod 042 and Pod 153 survived long enough to rebuild 2B and 9S 's bodies from salvaging different body parts, before the pods ceased.
@@moffxanatos6376 Either she dies, or she goes with the Ark. It's clearer in the game due to . . . . . the tower actually getting destroyed, so she dies for sure. But in the anime, the tower gets destroyed from launching the Ark- you can check the game and see how that doesn't occur- so either she let them go and dies or she goes with them the way 9S could've. either way, her decision has them launch imminently. The moon falling to the earth is symbolism of humanity as the androids know them, their god, falling because the machine lifeforms have not been eradicated by destruction; their presence was 'eradicated' from being let go. her saying 'i'm coming everyone, i'm coming' is either her death, as she has finally found the end of her fighting, or, because of her conversation with the machine lifeforms that she figures out the core data is saved with them (because the machine lifeforms are responsible for the moon server anyway) or because her answer mirrors the opposite of 9S's in-game (he stays if he thinks yorha do not deserve the chance, he goes if he thinks yorha do not deserve to stay). so it really depends how you want to interpret it.
@@xeshirem A) 9S isn't shown waking up in the post credits sequence of the game. B) She can't both be on the Ark and earth, for 9S there's an entire epilogue story about how hard it was to revive him. In the bad ending of which its flat out stated that he didn't go on the ark. Also the way she causes the cyberspace collapse makes it quite clear it was too late as she solidifies the shaft of light rather than entering it.
I really enjoy seeing this serie from your perspective and definitely I´m gonna watch the playthrough! Personaly as someone who knows most of nier´s lore the anime really did a fantastic job on not only adaptin the game but even the side content, I really cry when I hear 2b calling him nines lmao Also if your intention is actually ending all the game here are somethings you may wanna look up, for some reason theres some sidequest with really important information or moments that are not part of the main game this are: - Emil´s memories - Yorha Betrayers - Amnesia - 11b´s Memento - Gathering Keepsakes
Everyone are lost, Nobody can believe Yoko Taro give us a happy ending. The las character is like Dr. Strange watching all the saga of Nier and the routes. This ending combine endings, about the pods in the game is different. If you are playing the game I can't say anything more, enjoy this wonderful game
The translation I saw was "It has been determined that there is a high possibility that the survival of the two is connected to the 'Great Calamity.' Notify all association members to observe with the highest level of caution." Great Calamity in this case is all but certainly regarding The Calamity or Cataclysm of 856, which is the inciting incident of the Drakengard games (and by extension the NieR series). This ties into the theory that "Process 11", something intended to create or obtain godhood, (perhaps in a desperate bid to restore or replace humanity?) Will instead end up creating the very entity that wiped out the human race in the first place. Since Time Travel and multiverses have been a part of the DrakeNieR series since day one. Perhaps they are teasing a "NieR: Apotheosis" or something that will bring everything full circle. Though I thought the incident that cracked the moon and locked the earth's rotation, while getting rid of White Chlorination Syndrome before the events of NieR: Replicant, is what caused The Calamity when they sent all the contaminated particles into another reality (and back in time.) as they sent a big chunk of city with it.
That post credit end. I never played Drakengard but I do know who is Accord. What started off as just head canon and ramblings of a fan, turned out to be true. Never expected my prediction of seeing Accord at the end came true. Really… all singularity points lead to A2 / Kaine and Zero. But really… that ending, alternative [e]den seems to be a shout out to Nier Orchestra
From what I've seen all they did was retell ending E from the game but add some changes. The pod fight is not in the game which at the time didn't give context to pod 042's comment about launching an attack. It was kind of nice to see 9s and 2b reunited similar to ending A and B.
19:25 thats "Accord" (one of MANYYYYYYYYYYYY of them LUL) (and yea ofc how i forgot about her... obviously she was gonna show up.... shiiiiiit) wanna know more? before Nier better start with Drakengard then XD it got me real confused actually wtf she doing there, but hey... she can time travel ;)
The pods gathered up all the data on YoRHa for deletion, but then noticed there was enough to repair and reactivate 2B, 9S and A2. While reviewing the data, Pod 042 decided he couldn't bring himself to delete them, not while they had the opportunity to save them, Pod 153 hesitated a bit but agreed as she shared Pod 042's feelings on the matter. This caused a Schism with the rest of the pods. In the end all the pods were destroyed. but not before 2B and 9S were fully repaired set for reactivation.
You may not know it Zach, but the last scene with that character over A2 made many explode, both from fan service and in their pants 😂 can’t wait for the stream!

What a form to end Nier with a lot of reference, specially the ending.
fusing the B and C ending in A2 ending that was a good move.
