My first ever Charcadet encounter happened to be a shiny. Didn't even know what it was supposed to look like, so it was quite the surprise when I saw the sparkles
Same for me! I was playing the game with the sound off and not really paying attention while I was working, so I didn't notice it was shiny until I turned sound back on for and paid attention to challenging the bug gym.
Conveniently for Violet players, Sinistea actually has a common spawn just outside the "exit border" of the right/east Zapapico Pokemon Centre, right between the centre and the metal fencing that leads to the Steel Titan.
Not that this changes a whole lot, but you can get warp points for the Legendary shrines if you do all classes for the history teacher. I wanted to get all fast travel points to get around better, helps a little when running through the world to check raids :)
Shiny Charcadet was the first shiny I got in Scarlet, I got it out of an outbreak and when I was trading with one of my friends to help him get the Pokédex I asked him to give a set of malicious armor to one of their Pokémon to hold for me for when I got a second Charcadet to get Ceruledge
This took me 40 minutes of intensily staring at the screen, and 2 sandwhiches, but i got my Blue-eyed boy, and a shiny Iron Moth, as i had 20 min left on the second sandwhich. Thank you for all your good info.
Hey Blaines, just wanted to let you and the rest of the chat to know the forced charcadet spawn location works the same way for rockruff if you make a rock sandwich: jalapeno saltyx2. You can get nacli too but 80% of the time i get rockruff. Playing violet
I found one yesterday, I love it, but I evolved it to Ceruledge, gave it Adamant Mint and Bottle Caps, now he’s ready for competitive Pokémon battles and Tera Raids.

Herba's are hard to find as it is let alone only trying for one kind of Herba.
I had one randomly walk up to me while out hatching eggs. It was roughly in this area. It's got me absolutely paranoid about how many shinnies i could be missing every time i move.
I did an experiment with the bug sandwich, and as it happens this exact same spot works for Nymble just like Charcadet. I have been struggling to find a place to shiny hunt that one. In case anyone wanted to know. Shiny Nymble is yellow.
I texted a friend that I was doing this for 45 minutes with no shiny and was starting to get bored and then immediately got the shiny, just complain to someone if it’s not fast and you shall receive XD
Note: you can also get the evolution items without ever going to school if you want to, the item trade is not restricted. Not only do you get the 60+ boost, you're likely getting new ones to spawn faster this way. Got one while doing this that I'm going to evolve into Armarouge, and I plan on getting Ceruledge the same way.
