    Someone should give Nuggets coach Malone credit here too - he was attacking straight at Zubac the whole time to force him into foul trouble. And as soon as Zubac was one foul away from being in trouble, Jokic's number was called and he played bully ball down low until the ref either called defensive or offensive foul... and Zubac lost that battle. Great strategy by the Nuggets to make sure they had the size advantage when it'd matter most.

    • @masons9541
      @masons9541 Год назад

      the foul battle is often overlooked but you are exactly correct, a good coach will know how to take advantage of that. It's crazy to think that Zubac is a pivotal player like that for the Clippers but that's the state of the team they have built.

  • @jahjahiscallin3237
    @jahjahiscallin3237 Год назад +18

    Kawhi is not in rhythm because the offense is no longer running through him. He is not just some spot up shooter. He is by nature a very efficient player and always afraid to make a wrong move. The offense is so slow and out of whack that he is just waiting around trying to figure out what is going on. That's why his game has been so awkward lately. He cant even get to the spots hes accustomed too. Hes doesnt have the scoring mentality of say someone like KD, Dame, Booker or whoever's who have the natural ability to make terrible shots. Kawhi is a different player and more team oriented and this team is fucking terrible.

    • @YungPhilosopher
      @YungPhilosopher Год назад +3

      Cope. Kawhi is washed. Doesn’t have same explosiveness or athleticism since the injuries. Used to be top 5 not he’s not even top 10

    • @Ahilliard44
      @Ahilliard44 Год назад

      this is probably correct but are they so worried about ego's that the head coach is scared to actually coach these guys? If i'm coaching these guys, i'm putting my foot down. Harden i don't care if you all star, on this team, offense goes through Russ and Kawhi, if you don't like it well you can walk to your next team as you continue to do. The offense needs to run through Russ or Kawhi, PG and spot up and slash, but Russ needs to initiate because that's the only place in the offense where Russ actually has a significant advantage. Put physical qualites against each other and you will find it hard to find someone that beats Russ in terms of physical conditioning

    • @jamesc6876
      @jamesc6876 Год назад

      I agree with this too. I feel like there is so much available other than stars. The bench is actually very good at scoring just not always defense(Mann excluded). They need to step up their rebounding and defense otherwise PG/Kwahi are being way overloaded(and Zubac isn't the quickest shot blocker/PJ(probably loving it but is still undersized and can't have two of him to double team at the right times))

    • @user-gu6th3ni8b
      @user-gu6th3ni8b Год назад

      That’s pretty much what he does harden and Westbrook only play together like 8 minutes out of the game

  • @sloanNYC
    @sloanNYC Год назад +17

    With Pumlee out they have no size if Zubac gets in foul trouble. And against Jokic and Embiid, you need at least 2. Clippers need to figure out some rotations and have to be scoring way more efficiently with bench to make up for it.

    • @jamesc6876
      @jamesc6876 Год назад

      PJ is really important for them to stem the tide and hope that everyone is scoring well enough to outscore the other team. Diabate is good for some situations but is definitely still undersized. I put PJ in all my lineups because this team needs the defense/rebounding and someone to fill that large gap and talk on D because this team needs to play together on D and finish possessions with rebounding. I see a lot of ball watching on not shutting down their' players or helping anyone much less doing it quickly or doubling instinctively. Just not the right mix of DEFENSE out there at all times when you have even one person not being aware of their man cutting. When you have two, forgetabout it. I see PG/Kwahi even doing this so the gaps on defense are real with Batum/Covington/Morris all gone to not rotate or communicate and keep things together.

      Westbrook is the most unclutch player of all time consider his usage he consistently makes the dubmest mistakes at the most crucial time of the game
      JAMES HARDEN cannot play a lick of defense and becomes average when he does not control the pace and overall ball.
      BOTH KAWHI N GEORGE are constantly injured that they do destroy the chemistry of the team. And tell me with all that handicapped how the Clippers can be better???? And when you actually consider the perennial competition in the NUGGETS LAKERS and Suns evem the Spurs all have size. The Suns have a neer 7 foot assasin in KD the Nuggets have the best player in the league at the moment in Jokic the Lakers at some point in a game have AD LEBRON WOOD Reddish and DLO or Reeves which their smallest player is Reeves at 6’5.

Does he really think that if the Clippers don't work out that teams are going to be begging for an washed up Harden? Both Russ & Harden, especially Harden need to push his ego to the side and Ty need to say Harden you are coming off the bench. You will lead our second unit as you did when you used to be a starter, if you can't then sit your ass on the bench and don't play. I remember seeing something with Iverson saying that he should of fell in line and just came off the bench as he got older to help a team win a championship but his EGO wouldn't allow him to be fine with being on the bench. I know it has to be hard for players who were STARTERS/STARS for over a decade and was the man to now being asked to come off the bench but everybody gets old and that's how s**t usually happens, your talent declines as you age. It's no surprise that they were better with Russ cuz Russ is looking for other's shots not his own. Harden is the opposite and we see the offense stagnates and just like in Houston, if Harden's shot doesn't go in, it's gonna be a terrible night for your team.

      Pat Riley had Magic & Kareem, then Wade & Shaq - and no rings from any other roster.
      Nurse won with Kawhii and a pretty complete roster. Looked bad without a top 5 player. Then looks great with an MVP and a rising star.
      Figure it out - talent wins. They still need coaching, but without high end talent no rings happen. If they players aren't coachable, it's a disaster regardless (see Washington for details).

This team doesn’t need another guard this team needs big men you know what if they could I think they should trade for a Clint Capela and try to find a way to get rid of Harden or Russ because they just can’t play together. It’s impossible for them to work together. Their games are too similar and different at the same time. They’re both bad defenders. They both take bad shots. Harden is a better shooter, but Westbrooks better at everything else it’s not about having talent it’s about having pieces that were together and on paper. Yeah this seems amazing but when you go in real life and not 2K this team was destined to fail.
