It's due to exhaustion lol, people get so pressed if they mispronounce your name, I'm like, my dude you care way more than me, lol. Honestly call me whatever so we can move on with the conversation. (Of course caveat that I'm a white girl and don't have a strong cultural tie to my name, so if you do, it makes sense to feel a certain way about people mispronouncing your name).
I’m wayyy to obsessed with timothee
He’s taking over my life and he doesn’t even know I exist
Who knows maybe one day he will😏
i related to this more than i thought i would
Joa J I felt
Joa J HAHAH SAME
same 😔
I’m not a fan of his, but he seems so sweet and well spoken.
Translation for 1:00 :
I’m Timothee Chalamet, 18 years old, I can play soccer, do taikwendo, I speak French and English and I can dance a little bit.
Hope this helped:))
(edit) omg thanks for all the likes
Thx cuz all sounded the same lol jk
it’s funny, i’ve taken french for about 4 years and when i watched the video i just heard gibberish but after reading your comment and going back to listen again i understood everything he said. huh.
@@riley.b22 Then you had a really bad teacher or/and you didn't work hard. We learn stuff like this in the 2nd month of learning French. And we're a poor Eastern-European country so we can afford only books and CDs, no native teachers like rich countries.
He's 18?!!!!? Woahhh!

FOR REAL LMFAO
0:39 HE SOUNDED SO FRENCH WHEN HE SAID THAT 😌😩

Obsidian Wildfire but has basically lived his entire life in America so impressive that he still sounds somewhat sounds like a native French speaker
@Obsidian Wildfire I'm aware of that but as a french native speaker, he has a weird french accent, nothing dislikeable it's actually really cute
Ouais c’est vrai il a léger accent des fois 🥺mais franchement wow des fois tu oublies qu’il a pas grandi en France tellement il parait a l’aise
That’s because he pronounced each letter/syllable how it would be said in French not English lol. A lot of people who speak English never bother to learn the sounds the letters in the French alphabet make like the o particularly in this case
Then again, that’s the same reason most American people can’t read ENGLISH well.
Phonics guys. Phonics are key. 😂😂😂 Learn yo alphabet.
Shout out to my mom for not letting me have my bedtime story until I said each letter on the cover and the sound(s) it makes. What a g.
@@btstrasharmyexo-lbaekiesha2776 considering his father is a french immigrant and his mother has a degree in french... it's very much expected that he should know how to speak the language and have a proficient accent

@@christina4597 Xiao reminded me of Xiao Zhan. ;)
Since there’s a “é” in is name, you are supposed to prononce it the french way. Of course, if it doesn’t bother him to be called whatever people want, you guys can continue to call him with a English accent. I just think it’s always better to try and pronounce people name like they’re supposed to be :)
If you have a foreign name that is difficult to pronounce for certain people you get used to them saying it wrong or in a different way that adjust to their accent
@@fr3saacida yep, but some people get bothered when it happens. Personally I don’t care, and apparently he doesn’t either haha

Dont mention tiktokers on met gala this year 🤭
I don't hate him, honestly don't even follow him, but I've seen some people talking about some fatphobic comentaries and other questionable stuff, so not sure about him.
@@claragomesmartins2498 I heard he used to body shame people in high school. I don’t follow him or anything but I personally think it’s a stupid reason to hate him now because that was over 5 years ago and we have all done bad/wrong things in high school (or middle school) so to hold it against him to this day is kinda stupid.
There are people that don’t like him? Why?
It was in 2014 or smthing....like yo..do these ppl know how long ago that is ...I'd tell you the difference of being 14 and 18, Im extremely different..now 14 and 25?..ppl are wild
He’s been hitting diff lately

Welp here I am
My real name is french and knowing that Timothèe Americanized his name too makes me feel less sad about Americanizing my own
my name is in arabic but i gave myself a british nickname because i kept getting bullied for it
People call me Shazam like the cartoon.....I don’t even think my name has deep language roots. Edit: So I looked it up and it has urdu roots among other languages. It is also a boy name.......But i found out that’s why everyone thinks I’m male after hearing my name so🤷♀️
~
As an American it kinda hurts my soul a little that people feel the need to "Americanize" their name. I prefer the French pronunciation of his name personally. If someone can't take the time to learn how to say your name properly then they simply aren't worth your time or energy.
Trevor Garey a lot of people are ignorant to other cultures🤷♀️ I had to change my name as well from xenophobia of Americans, and I’m american as well which sucks......
It's whatever you'd like😭❤😍
when he’s bilingual 😩😭🥺
and he learned how to speak italian, play the piano and guitar💓🤪✨🦋
when he speaks perfect french :'(
His French accent makes him even more attractive
Benedict Cumberbatch VS Timothée Chalamet - hardest ever names to pronounce.
