Side note: so I’m reading the book, and in it Elio describes how he often talks quickly. He wants to get out all the information he can while people are listening to him, while Oliver speaks slowly. Like he wants people to hang on to every word and wait for them, because he knows they will. And in the Ellen interview it kinda feels like that as well. Timothee speaks quickly, stumbles on his words, misspeaks sometimes. While Armie is completely comfortable and speaks clearly. Idk I just thought it was a cool comparison

I feel so sad for timothée just seeing how much admiration and love he has for armie and thinking about how he probably felt when all these allegation came out against armie. I know this may sound insane but from the interviews I've seen with the two of them together, and the things they say, sometimes it make me believe that Timothée already knew something about that. Maybe not everything, and also I don't think things are as the rumors says, but I think that during the time they spent together in Italy, they talked about many, many things. I think they really had all kinds of conversations, because the chemistry that they have (and that even the interviewers felt that way) is like of a friendship of years. So I feel like Armie had at some point already confessed some of this to Timmy. Like I said, I don't think things happened as they were told, and if Armie ever talked about this with Timothée, then he had his own version of what was happening. And even though when Tim was asked what he thought about it he didn't say anything, I think he approached it very calmly. Whatever happened, whether it was true or not, I believe that Armie's affection / friendship for Timmy has always been genuine, and that Timothée knows it.
What is sad is that people will believe anything that appears on social media these days without question, or waiting until the facts come out. But still people accepted all the gossip and rumors and false accusations before any of the truth had a chance to come out and now a decent and respected actor's reputation and career have been soiled. And comments like this perpetuate it. Social media sites and tabloid journals never recant a story or admit they rushed to judgment because that is not titillating and does not sell ads or attract views.

They’re fighting over money and control of the kids (who are potential heirs to a massive family fortune). She also actively colluded with Armie’s accuser to ruin his life. This woman refuses to challenge him in court but instead chose to make her claims in the press and social media. Gloria Allred dropped her as a client. It’s not difficult to connect the dots on this situation.

i watched cmbyn two days ago and then decided to watch it again last night because it’s just that good. i’ve never been so obsessed with a movie before. ugh and i was really looking forward to the sequel, but with all these allegations with armie it doesn’t seem like it’s going to happen. but words can’t explain how truly beautiful a performance this movie was.
