The credit needs to be given to Luca who directed the film who nurtured that sense of intimacy between Armie and Timmy off screen and with the entire production crew that allowed the incredible intense scenes feel so real. You do feel the love between the two actors for each other. Not just in a sexual way but a genuine sense of care and concern for each other that translates so well on this film.

I have come to the conclusion that Timmy really did fall for Armie even if it's just one tiny bit. I noticed it in how he answered questions.

Like it's blurry , but I think h's waking up from it ,armie has said Timmy leaves his emotion on the surface, so you can clearly read him, this kid leaves bread crumbs of info😁there are times when does that ..Isometimes I would ask does he even know he's doing it? I mean some may say it's becoz he promoting a movie, the thing is he doesn't need to do that , the movie is got great reviews it stand on it's own,its already exceeded their expectations,so idk? Armie has better handle on this coz he is more experience Timmy a little more impressionable...armie keeps saying it's his summer romance..even the way armie tells the story of how they met and how that relationship progress it's more romantize and Everytime that story is told ..watch how Timmy reacts to it it's the same smile he gives when armie tells the rehearsal story!armie was the one who said ..when the movie was ending when it became apparent to them every one had a different reaction..there's a q&a when he got home he was pissed off ,I think coz Luca was moving on w/another project. He lived like who he was in that role,.when timmys asked about heartbreak he said there's deffinetly heart break and armie keeps referring to age that he'll eventually get there i,then Timmy just brush it off and said "anyways!" Timmy always stop mid sentence ..as if sencoring him self! I think falling for some one is not a gender specific it's like finding this connection this chemistry it doesn't also means they'll be doing anything physical.. maybe their relationship is more than friendship, it's romantic adjacent at least , ..just rambling !😀

The sequel won't be headed where the book was going. Andre and luca confirmed it and Andre said it most probably will have a happy ending bc that's what the fans want and luca means to achieve their wishes. Which leaves us even more hanging bc there is yet to be a script or anything😭 tbh I'd rather have it if they don't take as long as in the book "20 years" bc that's too much but either ways I'm satisfied with whatever they'll give

Luca's comment at the end means that 'They went there' for the sake of the movie and then they had to find their way back, and I think Armie and Timmy had to help each other. Perhaps Armie helped Timmy more because he had a wife and children to ground him.
