"Who am I" Saskia Törnqvist

Stichting “Music for Peace” together with FreeRussiaNL created the “Who am I?” event. It was around the central question: "How did the war against Ukraine become possible?"
We believe it is important to have a place for expression, a reflection of current events and changes in collective conciousness after the start of the full scale Russian invasion n Ukraine. Dutch author and historian Gijs Kessler (IISG Amsterdam) moderated an introspective talk with Pavel Kanygin, Russian war journalist from "Novaya Gazeta", Nikolai Epple, the author of a cult book “Inconvenient past”, Saskia Tornquist, a musicologist, journalist, specialist in Identity in music, and Lana Pylaeva, FreeRussiaNL coordinator.
Music, written in GULAG as well as written in the past year was performed that day.
