wow all these years, it’s “amazing” to see one of the best youtubers accomplish great things. Sry for the pun, I found it somewhere on the “web” and it just kinda “stuck”, so I used it here.
Love the shooters design it really “Amazing” and I can’t wait to see your future projects and I figured out a fluid myself it took me a year to study on what I needed for it lol nice work dude👌
Wonder if you could fill a cartridge with butane and put an arc lighter (triggered by a button next to the trigger deploy switch) in front of the nozzle and have a wrist flamethrower. Maybe you could even add pepper spray into the mix
Yours are sweet because they can shoot usefull things. Bola beats twine with a magnet on the end any day when it comes to this kinda stuff. Thats what makes you awesome. You made formulas and designs. You found out what works and what doesn't. The other web shooters on the internet are just cheap copies of eachother. Sometimes rip offs. You're the amazing because your smart enough to be no matter what you build, not because you make web shooters.
I swear on everything the most important component modding from most webshooters is the spinneret. Spinning the silk is what gives it a lot of its strength in nature. Why would artificial silk be different?
I would wholeheartedly and respectfully disagree. As far as I am aware, spider's spinnerets serve two purposes: 1. To align the protein chains to make the web orthotropic (different properties in perpendicular directions, very strong along the axis of the fiber, not strong along the other two axes) 2. To create multiple fibers sharing the load, decreasing the probability for fracture as a crack cannot propagate through the entire cross section of the line, as it would be able to if there were only one fiber. Now, aligning polymer chains is a method of strengthening, but this only works because the spigot holes on a spider are very small. There is quite literally no way to shoot something at high velocity through holes like that, like you would like to do in a web shooter. And neither of these two things have a leg to stand on when your polymer does not have much strength to begin with, as is the case for the current iterations of web fluid. The strength of spider silk actually primarily comes from crystalline beta-sheets in the protein, likely formed by the polyAlanine regions (where the amino acid Alanine is repeated in the peptide chain). If you think cooked spaghetti is weak, it's not going to improve if you then take ten piece of spaghetti and twist them together. Also as for the "twisting" spinneret, I used to think this was necessary too, but as cool as it looks, there is no mechanism to twist the liquid in midair, the only thing it accomplishes is send the liquid in radial directions from the centrifugal force, making a mess. The only way you can twist fibers together is if they are already solid and already attached and fixed at the other end.
WE ARE GETTING CLOSER 🙌🏼 *I'm a new subscriber to the channel but have been part of the Spiderman web shooter design web fluid-thing community for a while and this is ACTUAL PROGRESS the community is advancing ! Upwards and onwards 👉🏼
Going to touch on the science of the specific ingredients in an upcoming video, but as far as I know it's true, you can use surfactants (detergents) to improve the cohesion of the web, which I have already done in this video. I'm not sure how this is done with silk, or if it applies for this process, but I would be very interested to see it. There are other scientifically informed avenues I am working toward for increasing the strength of the web.
This is truly amazing! I’m starting my own channel soon, about web shooters! Is it alright if I use a few of your notes! I will make it clear that these are your ideas not mine!
This is amazing dude. Great engineering. Awesome fluid. I've been watching a while and it's awesome to see how far you've come. We actually use to talk. 😉 Glad to see the Web heads are still making stuff. -CS
@@theAmazing You just need to add a little crimson to the suit now... Anyways, I'm working on an entire suit right now. Should hopefully be done by Tuesday. I even have an idea for artificial Spider-Sense. Would love to share some pics and ideas with you, again. If not definitely look out for a new video sometime next week from an old friendly neighborhood Web-head.
The only problem I'd fix as soon as possible is to bring the nozzle up a little to decrease the risk of webbing accumulating on the trigger. Just sayin'. Also, keep up the Amazing work * badum-tss *
I know, this fine! Now what about climbing spider man gloves? and I'm already doing them! soon a video will be released on my channel, it may be interesting)
I want to note that my gloves are completely autonomous, practical, you can safely use them, there are no drawbacks, that is, you can really climb walls!
This is “amazing”! (Get it?) I’ve been a fan since as long as I could remember and you shaped me into the man I am today,if it wasn’t for u I’d never be in honors, never make web shooters/fluid of my own and would have never been interested in this kinda stuff, i love you bromatically
Now this, is a certified swag moment. This is amazing, I've been watching you and several other RUclipsrs that have been working on webshooters for afew years. And it's been radical seeing how far this has come, and I'm excited to see what the future holds for you. Keep up the spectacular work man! I hope you have a happy holiday/new years. :)
Hey so where are the specific parts? Like the dimensions of the springs and so on? And the 3d printable files? If they are on your patreon im subscribing rn!!!
Bro,if you work like really hard on this you actually might be doing something very close to spider-man and actually getting somewhere. You’re talented bro MashAllah. If you work on it and expand it who knows what you might make?
Now the big question, outside of being a cool party trick and display of your knowledge in chemistry and engineering, does it have any legitimate uses?😅
@@theAmazing oh Can't believe you answered! Huge fan! i thought there were no sound because of my phone, hence why i ask if there was subtitles. sorry, my bad then ^^
What if you were to design a small air compressor that connects to the cartridge and the web shooter releases the air kind of like a balloon, then you wouldn’t need to pressurize cartridges, or carry a giant power supply on your back
@@theAmazing correction, fluid pack, the idea is cool and is probably the most realistic and well better version instead of using no electricity, really like the comic spiderman! Also if possible maybe adding a smaller percentage of carbon nanotube to the web fluid to really make it long chained and stronger
Why not use silly string solution 🙄🙄 Edit: no hate its actually a cool way because ita acually kinda acting like a web i just said becuase silly strings sticks to the nozzle and doesnt mix together acting like a string

Hmm pretty awesome cant wait to see what the future holds
2021 and I'm saying this now ...this is the build to advance off of this is amazingly close to what we all want ⭐🏆🏆
Now if only we could find a way to have a web fluid strong enough to swing from. Until then, this is an amazing achievement. Keep up the good work.
How long do you normally spend researching and testing web fluid until you get it right?
It’s really awesome to see how you build your web shooters
Remember to stay Amazing 👍

If it was the original web fluid you should wait until an hour to dissolve so that the lever mechanism could work after a shot
