Oh you can brag about John Williams, Hans Zimmer or again Trevor Rabin for composing epic soundtracks, who have more or less imitated the classics from the school of Beethov' but Kenji Kawai remains a master in his own genre.
@@GoldenAgeSk8Video John Williams is definitely not overrated. I think much of his music is overlooked. But I agree about Kawaii, definitely is underrated.
@@Solid_Snake427 Ha, well I'm still around and glad to know someone else digs this tune! Looking back that was a bit of a bold statement I made, that it's THE best piece of music in a film. Maybe I'll dial it back to ONE OF the best pieces of music I've heard in a film. Top 3 for sure.
Where the Beach House fanatics failed in Eps. 1 and 7 of The Early Days OVA, Eiichi Hoba arguably succeeded in The Movie, even if SV2 still assured in lessening the damages.

@@zoltanormosi5617 Thank you so much for that! I would love to listen to the same track (also extended) but from the 1999 version of the soundtrack - in my opinion that one sounds better, both the vocals and music hit much harder and more emotional and the drums (and the music overall) are definitely clearer.

When The Ark loses the floorboard,
The Tower of Babel appears and rises!!
I was astonished and impressed to see this sequence.
Love the climax part around from 4:03 to 5:00. Really fitting to the collapsion scene of the movie.
Literally one of my favourite scenes in any movie, in large part thanks to this soundtrack
Classic late 80s early 90s tension sound.
Yeah, i looked for it everywhere after watching the movie and i decided to upload it because it's really hard to find.
Hibiki SS you're the man, i find this song right after i finished the movie, tks bro
Masterpiece................... I cant breath normaly when i listening it.............
Uniquely Patlabor. Love the movie. :D
jesus when the babel colllapse the sound so perfect!!!!!!!!!!!!! patlabor rulezzzzz
Listening to this right after I saw the movie, the climax for this scene was awesome.
The entire final assault sequence was epic. Wonderful pay off for our patience since its an overall slow burn movie.
So glad someone uploaded this! Undoubtedly the best piece of music I've ever heard in a film.
mfw i was gonna say "i know right" and then notice this comment is 8 years old...

It's amazing
The signatures are very similar to the ones used in heavy metal love it

Thank you Kenji Kawai, another great sound as usual
1:05. Things go from bad to worse.
@Javimoni That's Kenji Kawai for ya.
SO GOOOOD
Someone needs to make a 10hours long version of the climax part of the song.
