Hello Aoife My husband snd I just arrived here in Dubai about three weeks ago! We watched your videos from the UK. My husband applied and got the job! We are both in our late 40’ Next year we will be 50! This is his EVER first job as a teacher! He worked in the hotel industry for the last 20 years! He managed to complete his PGCE this year and here we are! Im writing this to encourage others who watch your videos and thinking to come here in Dubai! Everything is possible! Greetings from us; my British hubby and me, the girl from Croatia! Ps; your eyes are piercing gorgeous! ( Im sure you heard it before lol) 👌🏻
Awwwww! I’m so so so happy to hear this! This has honestly made my day!❤️❤️❤️ Hope he’s enjoying his new job and that it’s not too stressful ☺️☺️☺️☺️ I’m the biggest believer in everything is possible! Thanks again for your beautiful message that has made my day even better. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank you for your kind words! Yes It is a bit stressful as he doesn’t have that much teaching material as other teachers but he is doing absolutely fine👌🏻and enjoying himself! We finally have evenings free for ourselves we previously can’t have as hospitality is that sort of business. Life is good and we are very happy for this opportunity a specially now when the job market is very tough and salaries low Thank you again for your great videos 👌🏻
That is amazing. All the best to you. I'm trying to move From South Africa, I just finished my Level 5 training in ECD and I'm a Montessori teacher. I see Montessori school are not that huge in UAE. I was in Dubai for a vacation last month and we went on some school tours specifically British schools and I see they do incorporate Montessori ideas in their early years classes

Do you have a video about the planning and expectations of teachers? Is each lesson written out in full detail and evaluated? It sounds extremely full on.
Hi Carla! No I don’t but that’s another video I could do, for sure!😌 Yes, in a lot of schools here they want detailed planning especially if it’s been shared across the year group. The year lead then checks the planning every Sunday however this definitely depends on the schools but most schools are quite rigid about planning.
@@aoifeclifford6348 thank you for getting back to me. I am in my 8th year of teaching in Scotland and I am aware that it's the English curriculum they use which I think involves a lot of testing? Hello Aiofe, loved your video so thank you for sharing. I wanted to ask I am a recent RE NQT 2021 (RE Specialist) and wanted to know if I will need to have experience working in UK school first prior to getting a job in Dubai. My PGCE consisted of having two training placements lasting up to 4 months. Thank youu
I don’t think Dubai does RE lesson as it’s an Islamic city. The nearest thing they do is Islamic studies
