There is a bunker under Graceland that houses more Elvis Archives… evidently he had several of each stage costume… also Vernon kept every canceled check and receipt. Just those documents alone told the story of Elvis Presley. I loved Graceland and will return

Thank you, for sharing what you felt at Graceland. I swear I felt him on my first visit. It was a very warm and comforting feeling I wasn’t expecting at all. It was all encompassing, like he was welcoming me into his home himself. I couldn’t believe it. To this day, I have a hard time really putting it into the proper words to describe it. I don’t think the words exist to describe it. He was such a good, generous to a fault, human being. I’ve been twice, I’ll go again. My next goal is to go to Tupelo and visit his birthplace. I’ve heard it’s a great place to visit.

He didn't buy that belt. It was given to him for beating all Las Vegas attendance records. It was studded w/diamonds as well. Not sure whether you saw it up close when at Graceland. And I just knew you'd be blown away when seeing all the gold, platinum & diamond albums on the wall. Puts it in perspective more than hearing a number. Mind blowing. Same with all of the letters thanking him for his contributions (which many were never made public - he didn't want or need the recognition). So happy you enjoyed the Meditation Garden & were able to honor him in person. I felt just like you said, I'm walking where he walked, seeing what he saw, breathing where he breathed. Hope you get to Tupelo next trip.

My dad was a huge Elvis fan. Dad took the family to Graceland in 1982 or 1983. It was pretty amazing to walk into Elvis's house! I was about 6 years old and even I understood how special it was. Back then, we were allowed to sit in Elvis's pink jeep from Blue Hawaii! What I would give to find that old photo of me in that jeep! It made me feel like I was the coolest kid in school!

Ray, I’ve listened/watched many Elvis reactions from other content creators but I must have to say that you are the one I feel is really original and really understands Elvis. I don’t know if you recall but I’ve left some comments on previous posts. My name is John and I live in Illinois. I turned 66 last December. My profile photo is actually my Keeshond dog.
Long story short, I’m the one who actually saw Elvis….3 times at The Chicago Stadium (June 17,1972 Afternoon Show, October 15, 1976 and May 1, 1977) I also was fortunate enough to see Elvis at The Las Vegas Hilton on August 24, 1974, Dinner Show and after that, I don’t recall for sure but I think it was that same evening I paid $12.50 just to stand up in the balcony of the showroom to see Elvis again. I must say seeing Elvis at the Hilton Showroom was the most intimate as the seating capacity was like only 2,200 people as opposed to 20,000…
I’m still dealing with a few things….i hade to euthanize my last Keeshond back in February 9th 2019 and then I was caregiving to my mom for the last 14 years of her life. She turned a good 100 on February 11, 2021; then we got a new Keeshond puppy that we brought into our home on February 26th 2021, my mom just held him and cried saying “we love you…you’re such a doll. Then a week later on March 5th 2021 her health begin to decline. After two hospital stays, I signed the DNR and we brought her home on hospice and she passed on March 21, 2021.
I don’t even really know why I’m going into this much detail….i guess it’s the Elvis connection I feel we both have, although I’m jealous little as I’ve never seen Graceland, but I’m so happy that you were able to make it there. Like many of us I wonder where all the time has gone, I’ve made some good decisions and some poor ones…. But I’ll never regret helping my mom.
Enough of the pity party. Ray, like I said I always look forward to your reactions and may God Bless you and your family. On a side note as you may know Elvis sang a song called “Mama Liked The Roses”…. That would a reaction to consider at some point. Thank you again for all you’ve done to keep Elvis’ memory alive. God Bless you all and please take care.

World Championship Attendance Record Gold belt awarded to Elvis Presley in 1969 by The management of the International Hotel for his record shattering attendance achievements for a 29-day series of sold out performances in front of 2,000 people per show, two shows a night.

That's what I've been sayin' Ray! You & Elvis would have been like two peas in a pod!
I'm not even kidding, I mean that. You got that same energy he did. No matter what is going on behind the scenes that we- your audience- may not be privy to, you are ALWAYS coming in with positive energy.
At the same time you are honest, all joking aside, always honest and I am here for it!
Also: I have never understood why people are all over how others' spend their hare earned coin.
Elvis worked hard. He earned it. So if he wanted to enjoy it let him. He paid his taxes.
How you choose to spend your money is no business of mine.
I don't understand why people get all judgemental over a hard- working person who decides that they want to buy themselves a new car.
I get that there are a lot of people hurting right now. God knows I am not swimming in dough. But I don't begrudge anyone else their pay day, no matter what that looks like.
    None. Of. My. Business.
You work for it, you earned it, you should have some fun every now and then with it.
ANYWAYS... Let me stop there 😄
I LOVE THAT YOU & YOUR FAMILY HAD A GREAT TIME RAY!
LOVE THAT YOU & YOUR FAMILY LOVED GRACELAND!
I'VE HEARD PEOPLE SAY THEY FEEL ELVIS'S SPIRIT AT GRACELAND SO I DO NOT DOUBT FOR A SECOND YOU FELT HIM TOO! THAT IS SO SWEET & AWESOME!
    HAPPY TEARS FOR YOU 💖💖💖💖

Elvis was such a generous soul. He truly wanted to share what he had with others. His generosity made me love him 💖 He was also kind. Back in 1960 shortly after he got back from Germany Elvis attended an icecapades type of show in Memphis.
Well that same evening a bus load of kids from a school for deaf & blind children showed up late. They were scheduled to show up earlier that day just to see Graceland when Elvis wasn't home. Well since Elvis was home they were told no go basically. But Elvis was at the gate greeting fans and saw the bus and decided to ask what the trouble was.
The teacher explained to Elvis that they arrived late after a long drive from Arkansas (they got held up on the way).
Elvis invited the kids not just past the gates but into his home.
The teacher gushed years later in an interview how special an experience that was for the children and how lovely and sweet a gentleman Elvis was.
That is why I love him honestly. His kindness to others.

He wore that Gold belt often because the owner of the International hotel presented it to him for the record breaking crowds he brought in when he was performing there! Same with the medal he got from the Chamber of Congress( for all 50 states) for being one of the 10 outstanding young men of America in his field! He carried that medal in his briefcase until the day he died! He had every right to be proud! There were scientists, physicists, doctors , researcher's etc.and only 10 people honored! This poor boy( when he started out) from Tupelo Mississippi! He accomplished more in his 42 years of life and gave more of himself and his money that helped people than 2or3 people in their whole lives He never tooted his own horn about all his good deeds.Thats why it's a shame that the public never knew until he passed away. That's why it makes me so angry when people try to paint him as a drug addict, pedaphileand whatever else the latest rumor is! These people are just as bad as the newspapers that wrote the vile and mostly made up stories about him, especially the racism! That accusation hurt him deeply, more than Any ugly thing they wrote about him! I can't believe people still try to paint him as a racist when not one person Then ir Now that knew him, have Ever said any such thing!

I'm wondering if our Man has reacted to a very specific Elvis clip/jam/footage I remember watching over three decades ago, or if those in the comments can point to something in the realm of what I can remember, if I describe it. I'm not a huge Elvis fan, so forgive me. I love some of the classics, but for some reason also really love to cheese out on things like the shrimp song from that film with the trawlers. But anyway...
The footage I remember watching looked like it was in a recording studio. Elvis was to the right, and other artists are to the left. They are all on high stools. The whole set up looks like a mini session just for the sake of everyone's there. They do more than one song, but possibly no more than three. I cannot remember what songs they did. It looked post film schlock, but pre-fat wings. I think Elvis was wearing all back, or at least some black. There was a fun informal banter style to it. It could have been a cut I saw from a much longer session. Elvis was in singing/acoustic guitar mode. Sorry, but it's been so long I cannot remember much more than that.
Any ideas or timeline clues I could look into would be very appreciated. :)

Hello Sir, I am touched by the way you chocked up in the meditation garden. And the way you introduced yourself in a good manner, according to tradition. That is the way we stay in contact with our lovedones on the other side ✝️. May GOD bless you and your family and everyone who reads this. You are doing a GOOD job, greetings from the other side of the atlantic ocean 😃.

When you have loved this man all your life you think you know everything about him. Then you walk into that beautiful house where he lived you gets chills and you can feel his presence in there. But when you she the trophy room. It's still amazes me that one man did so much in just 20 yrs. That was before internet or even before MTV. The man was way before his time. Can you if think what of what he could have done if he was still here.

Glad to hear you had a great experience at Graceland! Elvis had a very big sense of humor, probably beyond what most of us would envision.
Even when he was poor and in HS, he wore flashy clothes..on a budget. The size of his budget just got bigger over the years. Can you imagine anyone else pulling off that blue suit, and actually looking so awesome?!
    Thanks for sharing!

Jane H commenting …. Ray, it’s a joy to watch your videos. What a wonderful experience you must have had at Graceland, & I do hope you will be able to do it again one day soon. Graceland was Elvis’ refuge, I think, & it also held the memory of his beloved mother. I think if Elvis could have chosen a place to pass from this world into the next, he would have chosen Graceland. I’m glad he is still there, surrounded by his parents, & his daughter, & the grandson he never grew old enough to meet. And it’s so nice that they have a plague there as well, for his identical twin brother, so that he is never forgotten either. I sometimes imagine what it would have been like had his twin survived. I’ve watched a couple of those funny Elvis moments videos, & it’s clearly evident that Elvis liked to clown around, both on stage & off stage. Some of his rehearsal videos are so funny. I’m so glad they were filmed, so that we have them to watch

I'm reading that the hotel gave him a gold and diamond belt. It would've held greater significance if they'd given him his freedom back. Elvis was truly imprisoned in the latter years of his short life. I see the maturing of your reactions with each video. I'm glad you're of an age where you have life experience sufficient to capture the mood and tone of what he meant to the world. Long live the King ❤

So good to hear you had such a good time with your family at Graceland. Elvis was a homebody and you can tell that Graceland was his happy place and his haven from the world.
Interesting that you were reminded of Eddie Kauffman in the clip. Elvis apparently fell about laughing at Kauffman’s imitation of himself. You must watch that video. He’s hilarious and actually very good at imitating Elvis!!!
Your reminiscence of your moments by Elvis’s grave, brought tears to my eyes because of your feelings. The acceptance you felt, I am positive, was because you have been such a great advocate for Elvis in these modern times and Elvis himself would be the first to appreciate all your time and efforts on his behalf. I knew you’d love it there!
    100K here you go!!
    Thank you very much.
    🙏👌💕🕺

There was one rehersal where everyone was already in the studio then Elvis comes in. Thwy thought he looked different, but he walked in with a black wig on and he dumped a bag full of silver dollars on the floor and then jerked his wig off. Everyone was on the floor trying to get the silver dollars.

Ronnie, the drummer has said on more than one occasion Elvis was like watching a stripper and they could not take his eyes off him for a moment... Also, scotty moore from his original group said that they're only group who was only probably the only group that was directed by an ass lol PST he was referring to that because the screaming was so loud they couldn't hear.😊

That leather suit.. I melt.. that man was beyond SEXY... I think some of these women in these days and times wondering if they are heterosexual.. if you get chills watching this man.. Yeah. you get it. I grew up in the 80's and I loved my Hair Bands.. but to me none come close to Elvis.. and that was my Mom's Era.. lol.. This man just was GORGEOUS, BEAUTIFUL.. I would have been a groupie for sure.. lol
