when this game came out I got it for christmas and I remember how the slideshow of zero taking off his cloak completely blew my mind out of the pure awesomeness
I remember when I first played this game. I was obsessed with the series, as was my brother, and we didn't hesitate at all to get the sequel to the amazing MegaMan Zero 1. When this music cued on, and he threw off that scarf, it was the most badass thing I had ever seen.
I dunno if any of you guys played Onimusha Warriors, but Megaman Zero was a secret character and his stage had this song playing as the background music. It was pure bliss :)
Never have I gotten me so many Game Overs on its INTRO STAGE, it's the only game I actualy GOT a game over in. I had so much trouble with this stage let alone the game that I almost gave up and gave it back to my RL buddy when I borrowed it. D: But it can't be helped, it was THE very first Rockman game I ever played in my 22 years of gaming. Now its a cinch, and my favorite level because of the music.
X5 was ballin' Great story, amazing music, great fights, and a wonderful idea having you get access to the final levels before doing any of the actual levels, also the callbacks to previous games in the Zero Virus stages were beautiful. (the only thing I hate about X5 is the first part of Squid Adler's stage) Also it was cool how the crash site for the space station later becomes a natural forest in MMZ4.
This song is a kind of a "beginning of the end" for the MM series' story. Zero, after separation from purpose, wanders the wartorn planet for years. We see a cloaked figure trudge through a desert. One can tell it's Zero, you can see only his head. W/ sad music, we're told what has happened in the past few years- Bad stuff. Footsteps. He throws off his cloak, reveals his frail body ravaged by war and struggle. He's dying, and flees for his life across a desperate land. The music kicks in.
Actually, it can be like what they did for "Kingdom Hearts", you can play through the original and unlock a "remastered" version with altered bosses and stages. This way new fan's can see what the originals had while old fans can have a new twist on an "old" favorite.
Ah yes, one of the first tastes of PURE AWESOMENESS. When I heard those first chords, and saw the epic close up of Zero, I am like "Oh Shi-", then the rest of the song plays while Zero kicks some Arcadian ass, and at that point I knew this was going to be a spectical of a game. (I was probably 9, and I am surprised my head didn't explode because of how great this game was)
@Tri3dgE027 Yup, what you said is true. It's just that Zero was "reprogrammed" as good, became a Maverick Hunter and met X, which is when the X series starts. After the whole X storyline (which still isn't fully released in games), the Zero series start.
i remember the intro stage of zero on mmX4 and is cool too, i think that zero has the most serius and awesome music in all megaman world well thats my opinion...
@Angsc09 I agree with this, while I like some of the newer games... it just seems like there trying to push graphics above everything else. I have to give massive props to Capcom for making MM9 & 10 in the classic 8-Bit, and the amazing thing is that they sell like hot cakes. Maybe this is a sign that the industry might try to revive the retro gaming scene with new "old" games.
@Angsc09 I agree, although I like to play a little fps, rpg, and tps. I'm really into the classics way more. It is a bit sad how other genres are given the boot at times not recognized more and as a result, feel underrated. Mario, Sonic, megaman and a few others kept up with the classic tradition while trying to make gameplay fresh and very simple. You don't see that with others sometimes.
@OmegaMaxter I am not sure about that but youa re right about Mega Man not being up to par lately. Mega Man 9 was supposed to be a throwback to the NES era but it ended up irritating fans when they remove vertain moves from rock's arsenal. Mega Man Zero 2 was indeed the most well conceived of the Zero series despite the retconning of the Dark Elf.
and the maverick war. ppl think maverick war ended as sigma died but in MMZ2 it mentions that Maverick War only made ppl abuse the power of cyber elves, so we havent entered the maverick war either
Because even though it was Zero's game, he was still technically in the Megaman universe, and since Megaman is the main character in the universe, the name Megaman Zero was given. Well that's my opinion/theory anyway.
Isn't this the one that has an endless supply of enemie spawning behind you at the beginning of the intro level...an if you stick around long enough to kill enough,Zero says... "This is't fun anymore..."
@nicholascooney You couldn't be anymore wrong. It's not just his head but his whole body. Also his body was damaged because of Copy X, it's because of battle scars by fighting Neo Arcadia for a year straight.
2nd most epic cloak/cape removal in Mega Man history. #1 is Master Albert's right before the final battle of Mega Man ZX Advent. If u know what I'm talking about, you'll understand. If not, play ZX Advent.
Best start for a game *EVER*.
*takes off the cape and looks back at you* "Let's go..."
Sendy Lie *beats up several Pantheons* This isn't fun anymore...
alienspacebat Somehow... I made it. But it... costs me everything... *faints*
Zero... To live or die........?
Players all around the world "Kyaaaaaaaaaaaaa"
"Somehow i...i did it...but it...it cost me everything(and then faints)"
"Zero...To live or perish...?hmm..."
"Lets go" Best start for a game
This is literally the best way to start off a game, it even includes a kickass theme!
This theme always got me pumped whenever i started this game.
Yes it did along when Zero gets reawakened in Zero 1
when this game came out I got it for christmas and I remember how the slideshow of zero taking off his cloak completely blew my mind out of the pure awesomeness
Honestly, that first scene was awesome. I'd almost even argue that it's top 5 best moments in RMZ.
It was the newest megaman during that time so it was the icon capcom used for the 15th anniversary of megaman.
''Let's go...''
I remember when I first played this game. I was obsessed with the series, as was my brother, and we didn't hesitate at all to get the sequel to the amazing MegaMan Zero 1.
When this music cued on, and he threw off that scarf, it was the most badass thing I had ever seen.
When he gives you that look you know shit is not gonna end well lmao
I LOVED THIS SERIES!!! Still, I wish Zero would get to enjoy some peace! He deserves it!
uuuuuuffff my friend, i miss this song. I would play it again.
(Rips off cloak and throws it like a badass)
*LET'S GO!!*
beeeest game of the seriessssssssss!!!
when zero kind of reminds you of bass wearing that tattered cloak in the beginning
James Miller both are made by wily
James Miller and are on the gameboy
Joseph Huynh they're both on the SNES too, Rockman and Forte.
The orginal (which is the one your listening to) i think is the best than all the remixs made to it
agree. but there is one good cover created by Tsuko G. you should check it out.
The music is magnificent! there's no need to change it
Zero has to go through so much. Its only fitting that he gets such a kick ass theme song.
I dunno if any of you guys played Onimusha Warriors, but Megaman Zero was a secret character and his stage had this song playing as the background music. It was pure bliss :)
I do grinding in this level SO HARD.. just to hear and play this track over and over again.
I love this theme! Mmz finished well
"A badass guy is not badass enough without his cape/coat. But when he takes it off it's a sign that he's about to do some major damage."
This is such a great track. Not the biggest fan of Mega Man Zero music, but when I heard this...damn.
"This isn't fun anymore..." *after 20 minutes of mechaniloid slaying* "WHAT AM I FIGHTING FOUUUURRRRR????"
-aplauds- Amen!

Codename: Hero
The Megaman series in general, had THE best soundtrack. :D
The message I get from listening to this Zero saying:"I'm back and better than ever!!"
Love this theme on onimusha blade warrior
D'oh, glad I'm getting started now. .3.
Megaman Intro Music in my heart!
COMEPLETELY AGREE! thats the best part! Zero Forever!
Most fucking Badass intro.
The ending to this series left me feeling rather hollow. ..
Best song ever! Brings back memories hahah.
hahaha you added the awesomethatfitWiththemusic scene at the start.
5 stars
It was such a great idea to put the best song of the game in the intro stage. It makes Zero's reappearance way more epic.
This brings back memories...
AMAZING INTRO
X5 was ballin'

at least every can agree... X7 sssssssssuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucked.
Loved these games.
Only I realized that he switch hand when throw the cape?
best series ever. it just is my childhood

so epic when he threw his cape off and said lets go so epic
this music fits Ciel perfectly. spunky, yet beutiful.
I love all rockman zero games I've played 2, 3 and for but I only own 3.
Awesome music all 4!!!!!
zero will always live on
this song is awesome one of the best
Artistic change.
i love this saga , megaman zero is really epic and his songs too
Hell yes, this would kick ass as an anime.
i remember this song i played this stage just to listen this song
@Tri3dgE027 Yup, what you said is true.

Can't help but feel the badass-ness of Zero while listening to this
*grab scarf*
*Toss scarf*
*stand proudly and stare your enemy down*
*assume stance*
"Let's go"
Stand Proud? Is this a motherf... oh wait! Does that intro even exist 8 years ago?
i remember the intro stage of zero on mmX4 and is cool too, i think that zero has the most serius and awesome music in all megaman world
well thats my opinion...
Thanks dude!
@BushidoMH Correction: THE most heroic reploid the world has ever known.
me after i come back to my old school and take off my coat like zero
One of my top 3 mega man songs
@Angsc09 I agree with this, while I like some of the newer games... it just seems like there trying to push graphics above everything else. I just love the maverick massacre i can pull off at the very beginning of the intro stage.
this is a very cool song
thanks for the upload :)
the begining is deep and awsome
Something about Zero originally dying in X5 and ending that series and being reincarnated in the Zero series.
So much nostalgia here.
Megaman Zero 2: Electric Boogaloo
Epic Intro and Song!!!
@runekiri its a reference to the first game, where Cyber Elf X tells Zero that he no longer cared about fighting enemies.
Great song!
I love this theme
I like this track so much, shows how badass Zero actually is... if you haven't found out yet.
I loved this theme so much I thought the rest was crap. The jungle level sounded and looked like it was from sonic advance.
love this song bit..
to cool favorite music from collection
harpuia was starting to doubt X, and knew he was not neccecarily the enemy
and the honor thing
and the maverick war. ppl think maverick war ended as sigma died but in MMZ2 it mentions that Maverick War only made ppl abuse the power of cyber elves, so we havent entered the maverick war either

@The13thRobo lol that sums this game up completely.
Isn't this the one that has an endless supply of enemie spawning behind you at the beginning of the intro level...an if you stick around long enough to kill enough,Zero says...
"This is't fun anymore..."
dude this song is awesome. perfect for roaming the desert or some other exotic area alone.... so i guess it'll work in real life too!
@nicholascooney
You couldn't be anymore wrong. It's not just his head but his whole body. Also his body was damaged because of Copy X, it's because of battle scars by fighting Neo Arcadia for a year straight.
I agree totally
Everytime I hear the beginning it's like hearing the entrance of a hero of futuristic epic proportions!
this would make really good ending music for games
A. Yes.
B. Yes, but even before I played Zero 4 I still get saddened.
C. That's VERY True.
D. I wouldn't say she died... we "departed" ...
